Most of these ratings are for the previous owner. New owner now and it shows! I have been here in the past and came for a deluxe pedicure. I called ahead and they said I could come in. When I arrived the place was empty. The owner?/manager? Was curled up in a pedicure chair and covered with blanket. I was glad because now they do dips there. After the service I got I would not return. She did nothing t get up out of chair when I came in. I understand it was empty so the other 2 were on their phones. She told the gentleman to do my pedi. He got the foot bath ready for me. I had trouble communicating with him. He spoke little to no English. He kept talking to the manager during the whole service as though he did not know what he is doing. Needless she never got up to help or check what he was doing. While I was there another gal came in for a mani and a pedi by the third employee. She was finished with both before I was close to leaving. There was 1 coat of color put on my toes. At the time I doubted myself so I did not mention it. He was putting the polish on. He still had not done the mud mask for my feet. I asked the manager? What about the mud mask. She said that he would still do it. I thought how could he do it over the fresh polish. He used some CLEAR solution on my legs. Not mud and not mudlike. He wrapped my legs in a plastic wrap. Then aimed "steam machines" toward my legs and walked away and sat down. Did not say how long it was going to take. After 10-15 minutes I moved them off. It was not comfortable. The "manager" saw and called him over. He removed the wrap and looked at my toes. I was not sure if the polish made it to the edges. He said something to the manager and she came over. While she was he once again painted the edges of 4 nails. She took her finger to test if they were dry and smudged the polish. The color did stay but smudged. She painted over the 4 toes. He then attempted to put my flip flops on me in an odd way. Did not have success so I did it myself. She then said I could go when I wanted. I was not going to stay another 10-15 minutes to dry again. There was no drying table. I did tip him usually. I did not feel it was his fault. I think he was surprised. Also near the bathroom there is a sink to wash your hands. Above the sink is a large hole in the wall. You can see into the restroom! There was a picture or something against the wall from outside the restroom. It still left a nice size hole you could look into and still see the toilet. The highlight of the pedicure... online it said it takes 45 minutes. I was there 2 hours without staying to have my nails dry! I wish Rose had not left. read more

I typically book appointments here but there's a few times I forgot to call ahead and even with walkins have never had to wait more than 15 minutes. Sadly, this is no longer owned by Rose and it shows. Lighting is dark, light shields missing, some spots look unclean, the drying table left abandoned in the corner -- this place looks like it's fallen on hard times and is cutting corners to stay afloat. All the nice amenities are gone. Rosie kept her salon clean, fresh and always happy. Rose ran a very nice salon, greeted customers and made sure you were happy with the services. Always a nice neighborhood vibe. The nail polish used for my mani was either old or put on too thick that it never really dried and hours later I had gashes. Polish was left on the skin/cuticles but since it's so dark in there and I had a light color I didn't notice until I was outside. Either the tech forgot the hand lotion or just wasn't in the mood to complete the services. So disappointing. read more

I never leave reviews but this one was necessary. I have never in my life received such horrible service. When I left there was nail polish all over my cuticles and my fingers. Bubbles on every single nail and the man that did my nails put such thick layers that weren't even you could see how uneven the polish was. Ofcourse it chipped immediately after. I ended up peeling off all the nail polish and the fact that it all peeled off SO EASILY BECAUSE OF HOW THICK THEY PUT IT ON. I'm honestly in shock that any nail technician would let a client leave with their nails looking like that. When I first moved to the area from Texas I was a fish out of water in the grooming department. My husband went to Georges for his hair and Brandys for food and mentioned the nail salon in the same center. I tried a couple of places. One that's great for massages but not so great for nails it's down the street... not bad for more personal waxing needs. I usually don't have to wait but if I do it's like 10 minutes... 7-11 is next door or Brandy's so you can kill time pretty quickly if its longer. I try to make an appointment but I'm that person who who probably bumps your favorite tech back a few minutes. Sorry. Friendly technicians, quiet if you want but, I suggest you get to know them! Great advice for your nail care. Rose is awesome! So sweet and watches over everything to make sure you're happy. I love small shop that don't forget about you and remember what you like. I've been sending my step-daughter here for a few years for eyebrows and nails... now it's a standard for her. It can get busy, if you have a color you love bring it in! I usually don't write reviews, but I felt the need to do so to warn people. If you are looking for a no chip gel manicure, this is NOT the place to go. My nails are awful. My nails were not filed correctly, they are so jagged and my were cuticles barely touched. I may have been able to over look all of this and fix it myself, but not even 24 hours later my nail polish is already coming off. It's peeling off completely, not even chipping. The polish they use here is no different than the at home gel kits, not a true gel. My nails are bubbly and full of particles that the tech attempted to cover with more layers of polish, creating a bumby and unappealing nail surface. Not to mention the nails are partially painted. I completely regret waisting my time and money here. read more

Went today for the 1st time. Made an appointment which I'd recommend because a lot of people came in w/o one. With that said, a woman with her little kid walked in right before me but I was seated with my own little kid 1st because we had an appt so they honored my appt. bonus as a lot of places seem to loosely hold appts. Anyhow, they only waited 5 min before they were seated. We left about the same time too. I got a no chip mani and a pedi. My kid got a kid mani/pedi. The woman who did my feet was amazing. I really felt my toes were cleaned up. The man who did my no chip was very pleasant and nice. It was my 1st no chip and he explained it all. It looks amazing! There was a regular that was miffed b/c she couldn't get a specific person. She made a fuss and Rose, the owner, handled it with great composure. Made an appointment New Years Eve. Walked in to a packed, tiny salon with almost every chair full. Was greeted effusively by Rose who later apologized in the same energetic way about me being seated 5 minutes late (oh, my god - like I am going to complain!) While I waited my eyes traveled up the wall to the price list, where my jaw promptly hit the floor. TEN DOLLARS is the REGULAR price for a manicure? $13 for a French? NO friggin way! I then received the most fabulous manicure that still hasnt chipped! And let me tell you, it wasnt just slap-polish-on-and-call-it-a-day, this was very thorough and detailed and you certainly did not feel rushed in any way. I worked in a salon through college and I know a thing or to about nail services. I got a manicure there on super bowl Sunday and was very impressed. The woman listened to how I preferred it to be done and executed the work flawlessly. She showed great attention to detail on my cuticles and the polish lasted over a week! For me that is really impressive, since as soon as I see the first chip, I take all the polish off. The manicure is ONLY $10!!! Even with a $5 tip, I'm still paying 25% less that what I would normally pay for a manicure ALONE! The woman that I was with wasn't much of a talker, but that's OK, she was friendly and willing to talk if you brought subjects up. The problem with nail salons is you don't know your being deceived until they add additional charges for petty reasons. I never see this place busy, although I won't be attending here anymore. There was a slight miscommunication about my nail service and it seemed the owner became irate and was a bit aggressive doing my nails. I sat down and she rudely aggressively grabbed my hands closer to her like she was annoyed by me due to the miscommunication. At that point, I looked at her and she started speaking her language with other technicians. Not everyone is a friendly face, true colors emerge eventually by greed. Been coming here for few years now and honestly won't be returning. Another time a different technician did wrong service on me and then up charged me for her mistake. Not my fault you used the wrong stuff. I'm not happy overall I gave this place high hopes from the reviews but after the main owner became aggressive with my hands I simply wasn't ever coming back there again. You don't treat people that way. If you don't understand something ask for clarification and don't be rude about it. Prices start getting higher if you don't question it right away and they get upset when you ask how much. Don't prey on weak people, everyone earns a living but being greedy and not showing compassion about customer service is beyond unacceptable. read more

I was in the area and stopped in in a whim due to the high reviews without an appointment. There were a few ladies waiting and talking with each other about how long they had been waiting. After waiting myself an hour, I was starting to wonder if I made the right decision not to bounce. Got a pedi and a no chip manicure for $55 and I was very very happy how long my stylist took with my winter worn feet. Most of the women that worked there knew customers names and asked about their families. Overall I loved this place and its turned out to be actually worth the wait. I really wanted to like this salon especially because it's so close to home and has so many great reviews. I gave this salon 2 chances and the first time was in November 2019 I was sent to a guy to clean up my nails before I would move on to rose to get a fill in. I wasn't a fan of this because I felt obligated to give multiple tips by being passed around. Unfortunately he continued to burn my nail bed when leaving a tool in one spot to long or going over the same nail bed multiple times (I still tipped him). Only to finally get to rose and have her do a clean up after he just did a clean up (I was confused but didn't mention it). She did an amazing job with the fill in & recommended that next time I soak of my nails and start fresh since I've had so many fill ins to prevent infections. So I did and gave my nails a long break. But I liked the way she laid the gel so much & it looked so natural that I decided to go back to her to start a fresh set. I asked for an almond shaped nail but the file grit was so course that I settled for oval because the file started digging into my skin and burning me. I left with 5 deep (paper cut like) cuts around my fingers and a crooked nail. I don't like being the bearer of bad news. But this was my experience. Also I was sent to that guy again (so a 3rd person to tip because I also got a pedicure) to have him paint my nails and tried going in with the most simplest design (a colored v shaped French tip) and that was a fail so I decided to have them just paint the whole nail instead. I heard good things about this nail salon and don't get me wrong the staff is very, very sweet; however, I was disappointed with my No-Chip Manicure. The thumb nails are uneven and the square shape is too sharp for my liking. I kindly asked for them to be a little softer on the edges, but not much was done via end result. Luckily I was able to fix my nails without damaging them once I got home and pulled out my nail filer! The staff does indeed take their time and care for each nail and hand, but unfortunately I was not pleased with my initial results in the end. :(( But definitely a wonderful and caring atmosphere!! read more

They are - properly work face masks on all the employees (!!), only using every other pedicure chair, and all of the manicure and front desk stations had plexiglass barriers installed. Any nail techs reading this? Open one in the area and bye bye Rose nails. Our area needs better people running an honest business. I asked for almond shaped nails- not round and press on looking. The ladies here are extra friendly but not impressed with the work. I came in for a mani/pedi and the pedicure was weak. No real scrub to get the dead skin off and the nail cutting was rough. The mani was the same but the nail paint job was very imperfect! My pointer of the left hand had rough edges the paint on my fingers was not cleaned properly against my skin. My pinky on my right hand was not cut properly so the paint reflected that. I am nitpicking but it was visibly unprofessional. Something I could have easily and cheaply done at home. Tried Rose Nails because of the positive reviews. I was not disappointed. They were very friendly and greeted me when I arrived. Rose did a great job on my acrylic nails with no chip polish. She even cleaned the back of the nails with a narrow buffer (something most salons do not do). I would definitely recommend Rose Nails. read more

Rose Nails was very Covid-compliant today. Took my temp when I arrived. Everybody in masks, face shields, gloves. Only using half of pedicure chairs and manicure stations. Hand sanitizer on my hand and theirs before manicure. Plexiglas shield with opening for hands at manicure station. Sprayed my polish bottle from home before and after use with disinfectant.
