This was my second time visiting this nail salon, and both experiences have been fantastic. I made an appointment on a Monday morning for the following Wednesday, and I was seen right on time. The last time I came, I had Oksana, and today I had Kristina. Both are incredibly detail-oriented and take their time to ensure everything is perfect. I came in for a no-chip manicure and pedicure, and today I just did a color change for my toes with a no-chip manicure (total cost: $80). While it's on the pricier side, my nails lasted over a month the last time, so it's definitely worth the price. Kristina (apologies if I'm spelling it wrong!) was kind, respectful, and very professional. I especially appreciate how sanitary she was--she asked me to wash my hands twice, wore headwear, and always kept gloves on. The salon itself is chic and well-maintained. The only thing I'd suggest for improvement is perhaps spending a little more time on hand and foot massages or offering complimentary drinks to enhance the experience even further. Love this place. Needed a weekend nail appointment and surprisingly came to find out that this place was actually open on Sundays. My favorite tech from my old go-to place was on maternity leave and her colleagues were all booked. I made a quick appointment for a plain mani and I honestly had one of the best manicures I've ever had. My nail tech not only fixed my broken nail, she took the time to trim each cuticle and perfectly polish each finger. She was so kind and we had the best conversation. I was so grateful to get an appointment on the weekend and walked out with the most beautiful manicure. The prices are also amazing. It was 20.00 for a plain mani which is unheard of. I tried this place twice because my sister and friend swear by the place religiously and have been going there for years. The first time, the result was great walking out, but 1.5 weeks in nails started coming loose. By the end, half of them were coming loose and I was reinforcing with nail glue on a manicure that's meant to last 4-5 weeks, which the price reflects. I have NEVER had this happen with any manicure in my life. The second time, the tech was about the rudest woman I have ever met and I don't even know where to begin. Beware of this place. I have had Russian manicures without pause for 5 years. I went to Nailed because my manicurist was out of town. My nails looked great when I left. Two weeks in, the polish was lifting at the top, something I've since learned happens with poor-quality products and/or poor application. I returned to my regular manicurist after my manicure at Nailed, and my nails were ruined after my visit to Nailed. They were paper thin; my nail beds had three noticeable gauges/wells. One of them was severely cracked under the polish, even though the polish still looked fine. There are several blemishes under the nails. My manicurist had to cut them down to the quick, and my nails now need to heal for at least a month. While they looked fine, I've learned that what was hiding underneath was hazardous to the health of my nails. I obviously called and spoke with the owner about this issue, who was very dismissive, "We use high-quality products," and "I've never heard of something like this happening before." I even offered to send photos of my nails before and was told he would have no clue when those pictures are from, insinuating I would be dishonest. read more

My new go to. Love that they are appointment only, and that they don't do acrylics. It's never crowded in there, it's always clean, and every employee is very sweet. The quality of work is amazing, when my gel X nails were falling off after a few weeks, I was suggested to try gel extensions, and I'm obsessed! Very little to no damage to my nail underneath, and they are so strong and stay on perfectly. Best shaping and design application I've ever had as well. I previously had an appointment scheduled and ended up requiring emergency oral surgery due to a broken tooth and horrible infection. When I just called to make an appointment, he wanted a credit card to hold the reservation - makes sense. He THEN said he was going to charge me a $35 no-show fee! I repeated I had emergency oral surgery and he said NO ONE TOLD ME. Well, genius, a nail salon appointment is not top priority when having an emergency procedure done. But yes i should have STOPPED the surgery and had him call Nailed. That is the dumbest response I have ever had. So, I will never go there, despite it being walking distance from my mom's, I will unfollow their social media accounts after posting why and be aware that they do not tell you if you don't show up you get charged $35. Under normal circumstances thats an obnoxious amount. $10 or 15...ok. If you have a nail appointment and someone DIES or you break a bone do not forget to call the nail salon! ALWAYS CALL THE NAIL SALON FIRST! Dog dies? Call the nail salon FIRST THING!! Car accident? Call Nailed before the police or ambulance. Disgusting. EDIT TO LITTLE MAN'S RESPONSE* IAN'S response says it all I spoke directly to him. Rude. I HIGHLY doubt the tech sat there for 2 hours and if so it seems business is pretty slow. No walk ins at holiday time? Says it all. I sat for 3 hours having my jawbone drilled into. SO SORRY my EMERGENCY SURGERy was inconvenient to YOU. Reply again and make yourself & business look worse. It's been 2 weeks and my nails has not chipped and they feel strong and sturdy! Although I am very particular with my nails, especially if I see a dot on my nails or a small hair. I watch the nail tech try to pick it out this small dot on my nail towards when she basically finished my nails, but she looked at it, tried to pick at it and let it be. Since my nails were finished I didn't want her to take off the polish for just that one nail. However, I would prefer the nail tech to ask if she should remove it or if I am okay with it being there. Overall, I did like the service here. The salon was intimate and aesthetically appealing. The total for my nails: $60+$12 tip. I will be coming back soon! read more

UPDATE - - - - - - - This is a two week update and I'm sad to say I have different things to say about my dip manicure. I changed my rating from 5 to 3 stars because after just 3 days my dip manicure started to chip. I went back and Michelle, the young lady who did them the first time, fixed all three of my nails for free. I really appreciated that considering I'd spent so much to get them done initially. However, just a day later, my nails started chipping AGAIN (both my old nails and the nails I had just gotten fixed). Eventually, I ended up going to someone else to get my entire nails redone with a new dip manicure. I had my Nailed manicure for barely 2 weeks total. Needless to say, I won't be coming back to Nailed for a dip manicure :/ On the other hand, my gel pedi still looks amazing! My toe nails are still shiny with no cracks or chips in the paint. Went to Nailed on a recommendation from my friend. I got a full set and a pedi, and my daughter got a mani pedi. Here is what I thought of my first visit: 1) when making my appointment, pricing was not very forthcoming. It's not posted anywhere, not even inside the store from what I saw, and when I asked on the phone, I was told the full set starts at $68 (I think that's what she said), but then she got distracted and started asking me other questions and never finished giving me pricing. Then when I got to the salon, there was a sign that said cash only (which wasn't mentioned on the phone) but they let me pay by card because I had no idea what the cost was. 2) My daughter's mani pedi was fast and easy and done well. The same technician who did hers, did my pedi. She was extremely sweet but I was not happy once I got home and really saw it. There was a lot of rough skin left and one of my nails is missing polish in a spot where a fix was attempted. I will most likely be going somewhere else in the next few days to get another one. 3) The full set came out beautifully. I wish the color was a bit darker, but it still looks great. I haven't gotten fake nails in a while so I wasn't prepared for the burning. 4) I believe the total for all of this was $168. Not bad. Nice atmosphere, cute decor, good location. I'll definitely be back at some point, but they need to be a little more transparent on pricing and step up the pedi game. read more

I had such a great service and felt like my nails were cared for. Another plus was the fast service. I didn't need to sit and wait. It's been quite some time since I found a nail place I like. I don't typically schedule appointments and go when I need it or have the time. Today happened to be one of those days I had some extra time on my way home. Upon Yelp searching, I couldn't believe this place was 4.5 stars compared to other 3 or less stars that were nearby. I was attracted based on the photos that other Yelpers uploaded and was excited to try this place. I tried calling but the line was busy so just did a walk in. They were able to squeeze me for a manicure in between appointments and I was in and out, just the way I like it. I wasn't trying to sit and relax or slow down my process from having a conversation. They had a wide variety of nail colors, which didn't look old. I loved the decor and music they were playing. It was definitely different and was trendy. Beware, tip needs to be in cash. I came to Nailed long time ago when it opened and I was very content with the experience then but could never get an appointment so I gave up and ventured out. I had an extremely upsetting experience the last and final time I visited this salon. I was getting a full set, and the nail tech made me feel extremely rushed. I was getting a full gel set, and I was having trouble finding the right color that matched the picture. When she began applying the color, I realized the color was off and requested her to switch the color.  She sarcastically began to laugh, shake her head, and aggressively remove the polish from 1 finger, and It was extremely rude, ad made the rest of my experience feel so uncomfortable. I understand if I were to waste more time going to find another color while she was waiting, but I brought over 2 colors I was indecisive on, and the other color I decided to get instead was right there on her desk.  At this point, she had only done one finger, I understand it would have been inappropriate to ask her to change the color after she finished my entire hand, but that wasn't the case. She seemed so agitated it almost seemed like she intentionally did a bad job when she continued applying the new nail color. There were parts on the side of my nail missing the color, and the ombre job was horrible. I honestly felt like she applied it poorly on purpose. Not to mention before this happened, my nails were done ridiculously thick! When I paid $100 and left, my heart dropped because I rather have lost the $100 than spent it on how my nails looked. The attached pictures are to show how thick she made my nails, as I had to go to another salon a day later to fix them. That's how bad they looked even from afar. Occasionally, I get an urge to do more than a single color no chip mani/pedi. When I want a knockout nail job, I get a lot of my nail art inspiration from Pinterest. Locating a nail shop in the North Shore with artists capable of doing elaborate work was difficult to find up until I found Nailed. Nailed is a 2 year old posh nail salon. They have quality nail polishes in an enormous range of colors. The interior is chic and clean and I take comfort in knowing this salon uses packaged sterilized tools for each client. The Yelp pictures showcase the quality of their work. For the Holidays, I booked my first appointment and was paired up with Ivanna. I told Ivanna I wanted to do a stringed lights design and showed her a photo off of Pinterest. She not only replicated the design to perfection but she also recommended that I use a shimmery ivory base as a background. Her work exceeded my expectations and I was very pleased with the result. What made this a 5 star review was the salons ability to accommodate my schedule. On the day of my appointment, I realized I was going to be in a time crunch. In order to make the events of the day work, I needed to leave early to make it to my next engagement. I asked if I could be bumped up an hour earlier and thankfully, they were able to meet my request despite the busy holiday weekend! Overall, the time spent to do my nails (no chip mani with nail art and pedi) took roughly 2 1/2 hours to complete. If you plan on doing something similar, I suggest you allot enough time so you can plan your day accordingly. Walk-ins, as stated by Yelp, are welcomed but I would highly suggest making an appointment. Lastly, pricing for this type of work is not cheap. Depending on the complexity and type of nail art you want, pricing can vary. Expect to pay roughly twice the amount you would pay for a standard no chip mani and pedi if you plan to do nail art for all fingers. Parking is free on the side streets for a max of 2 hours. Ian, the owner, mentioned available parking for patrons can be found at the business on site garage. Make sure to park only on the ground level of the building to avoid a ticket. And that's after constant buffing, filing and soaking them in olive oil almost daily - still can't grow them back. This have never happened to me before! Even when I had acrylic nails which is much more harsh on nails than Gel polish! I have no idea what kind of cheap and low quality products they've been using there - but this is NOT okay! I went in yesterday for the first time got a no chip mani with a regular pedicure. My sister in law recommended it because the no chip lasted her almost 5 weeks. It was a drive for me because I live in the city so about 40 mins away. I was disappointed by the fact that if you pay with card there is 3.99% fee as well so I had to find an atm before hand. I really liked the young girl who did my nails and it was a nice atmosphere but a bit over priced for being outside of the city. Then today while I was in a meeting my thumb nail polish chipped its been a little over 24 hrs. No chips are supposed to last two weeks but never had I have it chip this quickly.
