Been to multiple places before here to feed my obsession with acrylic nails and pedicures. So far this is the only place that I've found that listens to exactly what I want, and doesn't try to make me change my mind because it's not something they personally like. The young gal who did my manicure was very sweet and very precise. While taking off my last set, she explained why the acetone soak was needed, and made sure not to file down my natural nail to far. She was very patient with me each time I asked to go just a tiny bit shorter in length, even though I asked her to go shorter about 4 times. She made sure to let me look at each nail after she shaped them, and didn't get irritated when I asked her to fix something. When she applied the polish, she went over it a couple times and made sure it was even so that each nail was smooth. I also got the deluxe pedicure, and it was amazing. I've never heard of a place that did hot stone massages during a pedicure, but it was definitely worth it. The woman who did my pedicure was very nice as well, and made sure to be gentle. She asked me if I wanted my nails left alone before she decided to trim them, and didn't get agitated when I'd slightly twitch or jerk away when she hit a sensitive/ticklish spot on my foot. During the scrub and the lotion, she asked me a couple times if she was pressing to hard, or not hard enough and it was nice that she took into account not everyone likes massages the same, and during the stone massage, she made sure to ask if the stones were to hot on my skin. I got one color SNS - I was pleased with how speedy the nail tech was. Downside was they have very limited colors only pinks and reds and the way they do their SNS is VERYYY thick. I'm used to a salon where it looks very natural and slender to the nail. These feel clunky and heavy on my nail (see the pic of my thumb, very wide and thick nail) and it makes them harder to type with. Not horrible for the price, $40 for a full set with tips. Not sure if I'll be back, I think I'll shop around to see what else is out there. Side note, they have a surcharge for credit cards which is illegal in Colorado under CO statute 5-2-212. Came here with my sister for a gel mani and a pedi after one of her friends raved about this place. We had appointments, but our services started over 30 minutes after our scheduled appointments. They offer a basic pedi, or for a little bit more you can get a classic or something that includes some extras as well as a hot stone massage. My services were ok. The man who worked on me was a little abrasive. He wouldn't ask me how long I wanted my nails or what shape, he would just start doing whatever he wanted as fast as possible. I had to stop him on both services from just barely filing my nails. (I like both hands and feet nails to be short.) When I told him I liked them short he would angrily cut the nail like I was putting him out. The best part of the pedicure was the exfoliation. He did a great job of getting off every speck of dead skin. If he didn't act so hostile I would consider coming back for just that. My sister did not get a good exfoliation, the technician used the file the wrong way and she just sort of rubbed the gel around. I question if my sister's technician was even licensed. My guy appeared to be telling her what to do as he worked on me. The gel mani was bizarre. He would do a few nails, then stick it under the light instead of doing a full hand. I really wanted to like this place because the pedicure sounded so nice on paper, but the people here have no idea how to make people feel welcome. read more

I was in town visiting a friend and we came here on her mom's recommendation. While it was easy to make an appt, I was overall not very impressed with our pedicures. The salon looks dated and there was no tea/coffee/water offered. There may have been a water cooler for self-serve that I may have missed. The lady doing my pedicure didn't even asked if I wanted my toenails trimmed (perhaps because my friend and I were talking). A friend and I were looking for a new nail salon in Colorado Springs. The one in Citadel was rough with us and rushed us so it was time for a new one. This was no better to be honest. The place was empty, it is family owned I think because the owner, his wife, and kid were there. There was also another lady. The owner and her were nail technicians, I'm not sure about the wife. They were not very friendly nor descriptive. Went straight to business, not bothering to know any more detail on what we wanted than necessary, asked if we had an appointment (despite being empty...) and were very silent throughout. We didn't even get to sit together to have a conversation. They also loop-hole their prices. Something can be listed as $5 and they won't tell you it's $5 PER FINGER until AFTER they are done. I would never go again. First rule about going to a nail salon? Always ensure they're either using new equipment on your fingers or they're sanitizing it properly! This was neither! Eek! The owner stared me down and got to work before I could change my mind. That and they asked that I pay first. I know it's 50/50 chance that places ask you to pay first but most will ask for it AFTERWARD. I want to see the work you do before I pay you! The other nail technician - according to my friend - also kept trying to up sell her, insisting that what she was getting would chip and crack. She kept pressuring for another type of polish. So my friend tried it to see what all the huff and puff was about. Guess what? The product the lady suggested ALSO chipped and cracked right away. The nail technician kept apologizing for how rough she had to be due to my friend's busy lifestyle, using and ruining her nails frequently. Then the woman would turn around and start talking to the owner's wife in Chinese, talking about how badly of a state my friend's hands were currently. Here are some rules when getting your nails done: If you don't see them with sanitized or new (opened in front of you) equipment, ASK. If you are uneasy, ASK. If the answers make you uneasy, WALK OUT. Methyl Methcrylate (MMA) is BAD for you and banned by the FDA for acrylics. The technical chemical name for the FDA approved acrylic that reputable salons use is called ETHYL Methacrylate. If they hurt, itch, or burn, it was likely MMA. If you have nails on that were built with a powder and a liquid then you have ACRYLIC NAILS. Solar nails are also acrylic, it's a brand, not a method. They are not gel or otherwise. A substance that comes in semi liquid, sticky GEL form in a small tub like container that is applied to the nail and cured under a light. If you have this product on your nails then you have GEL NAILS. Do not confuse gel nails with acrylic nails with a gel top coat. These are when the nails are built with Acrylic (powder & liquid) filed and then a coat of thin gel nail polish (bottled, the kind you can get from the store) is brushed on and is cured under a light. Do not confuse gel nails with a gel nail polish that comes in a nail polish bottle. This is not meant for building and is applied like nail polish and cured under a light. Want to know more? Sitting in the parking lot of this salon CRYING. Literally first time in this salon was 20 minutes ago. Was as polite as I always am. Salon was empty except for 1 other customer. Older man took me. I asked for gel French manicure without acyclic tips. He did a sloppy job and I asked for thinner white lines which seemed to piss him off. He then proceeded to RUSH my manicure, leaving it looking messier than I've ever seen anyone leave (this same exact manicure) on me. She has absolutely spoiled me for being able to go to any other nail tech. Prior to finding Cindy, when I would get home from getting my nails done, I would always have to fix them. Since finding Cindy, I have not once had to fix my nails, they are always perfect. It takes a little bit to get her talking in the beginning but once you do, she is so friendly and sweet. Look at my beautiful nails. They are applied using the dipping system and today I'm wearing OPIs "I'm Not Really a Waitress" red. This is a great alternative to someone who has trouble keeping Shellac on but doesn't want to commit to acrylics, it's the perfect in between solution. To expensive for inexperienced work. Skin around nails is very sore from rough filing and she tore up UNDER my nail with a sharp metal tip trying to get excess acrylic off because she didn't use a form. 12 hours later and it still really hurts. Gel polish was applied very badly on the nails and was all over my skin, cuticles, and under my nail. It was a dark tip and I can't get the polish off from under the nails so when I took the polish off as soon as I got home, my nails look dirty and stained underneath. I didn't have an appointment and chose this place due to so many great reviews. The lady that did my pedicure did an excellent job and spoke very good English. Someone else did my gel French with color tips manicure and eyebrows. Not great. The polish is spotty and the color streaks into the clear portion and on the side of my nails. She didn't get all of the dead skin off, either. I asked her to fix one nail because there was a huge glob on the end-how did she not see that when she was actually doing my nails??? When I asked about eyebrow waxing, she said she would have to ask-ask whom exactly cuz she told me she would do it. Led me back to a makeshift area that is clearly being used for their kitchen as well. It has been quite a long time since I've been to a nail salon that did not offer something to drink. I tried this place out yesterday and I have to say, I'm surprised it has any higher than 2 stars. I got a full acrylic set with gel polish and as I was getting my nails done it was becoming increasingly clear that the guy doing my nails was either not certified, inexperienced, or just sucked. As you can see, some of my nails are longer than others and literally every single one of them is crooked. I didn't say anything out of respect for the guy because he was clearly older but I really should have. When we first when in, a lady told us it would be $48 which sounded fine until I saw how badly they did our nails. So as we were paying I asked this Andy guy if that was right, because on their board it said A full set Acrylic was $30 and underneath it said Gel $35, so I thought after the shape charge it was maybe $38 instead and I misunderstood the lady before. Andy started yelling at me, without actually clarifying if we were right or wrong. He told us we still needed to pay, even though we never said we weren't paying, we were just wondering if the price was right. He told us we should've wondered about that when she told us $48. So all in all this place sucked. We weren't trying to argue with him so I didn't mention that their English was so bad I wasn't even sure she had said $48. But anyway, just be warned that if you ask Andy a question, and make him nervous about trying to trick you out of money, he will definitely yell at you in front of all the other customers. read more
