When I talked to Doug on the phone, I actually asked him why they're so cheap, and he explained they're a much smaller company with more efficiency and less waste so they are able to charge less. He located the bed bugs right away nestled away in our headboard and showed them to me. His sweet demeanor gave us so much peace in an otherwise traumatizing and violating situation.
