I always hesitate to order walleye at a restaurant because it is never as good as fresh walleye out of LOW. This place does it right. Lighter breading that isn't oil soaked and cooked to a perfect golden brown. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and meaty. Beans and potato were perfect sides for this meal. Only so much you can do with those sides, but the beans were cooked just right. Give this place a shot. The ambiance may not be perfect until they get the place finished, but if you bring the right person or people with you, you can create your own ambiance and have a great meal. Try the long island iced tea too. Not too sour or burned like most I have had. Can't wait to see what this place is like when fully open.

I was greeted friendly, immediately and asked if I would be dining. I replied, "No. Just an espresso. In fact I would like a Traditional Italian Macchiato (TIM)." (I lived in Italy for 5 months) The attendant asked if I would like a 16 or 20oz, at which point I explained to her what a TIM was. She assured me that would be no problem to guesstimake. 2 minutes later I was served the BEST TIM I've had since living in Italy in 1993! The espresso, the temperature, amounts of foam & steamed milk were all perfect! Later I called 517 to express to the (Owner I think) how amazing the Macchiato was, but instead unwittingly spoke to the barista that MADE my TIM. Needless to say, she got choked up & thanked me profusely. I told her, "Don't ever forget how to make that! You've nailed it!" So, thank you to unknown barista girl. If you knew how to make it...good on you! If it was the result of an "educated guess" (I assume) it was a stroke of divinely inspired genius! The food is great. The eggs are done the way you order them, nicely done! The friendly wait staff come regularly with coffee so your cup doesn't need to be empty.
