Big farm and pet supply store out in Pennington. They're also well stocked in gardening supplies and hardware. Want to buy a saddle and a half-dozen chicks in the same place? You've got the right place. They don't carry the high-end brands of pet food, but they've still got a decent selection. They also sell big bags of mess free seed that is either hard to find or twice as expensive elsewhere. In the Summer I like to stop in there on Saturday mornings and take advantage of the Farmer's market that goes on out front. In addition, they also sell machinery in their adjacent shop, and it's a good place to go to get your lawnmower, leaf blower or edger fixed or tuned up. read more

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Rosedale Mills. We recently build a chicken coop and we're shopping for chicks. We intended to buy them at tractor supply but i was very disappointed with the selection as well as the staff so, we left and headed to Rosedale Mills where the staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable (especially during this COVID-19 time). The store was clean and the staff was taking the appropriate precautions to keep themselves as well as customers safe. The chicks we got are (of course adorable) but also vaccinated which was awesome. The baby chicks are also guaranteed to be hens which is another plus! They had four or five different breads. We left with a few jersey giants, an ameraucana, and one other breed that slipped my kind. read more

Rosedale Mills is a wonderful pet, garden, and farm supply store located at the intersection of Route 31 and Titus Mill Road in Pennington, NJ. I especially like this store's selection of pet supplies and food. They have an assortment of high-quality foods for dogs and cats. Some of the brands they carry include: Wellness, Solid Gold, and Nutro. Their pet food prices are a bit steep, but these high-quality pet foods will usually cost more than other brands regardless of where you shop. However, their prices on pet supplies and accessories (beds, bowls, etc.) are very reasonable. So, if you're in the area and don't feel like fighting the crowds at a large store like PetsMart or PetCo, then check out Rosedale Mills. I definitely recommend it. read more

Our Toller, Oscar, gets all tail waggy as soon as he sees we're turning to go into the parking lot. He literally drags us into the store. My God do they spoil him; they all are really nice people. We switched his diet based on the recommendation of the staff and Oscar's really done well on it. My wife selected Canidae kibble and Merrick's soft food (DON"T mess with Mama). I agree that their prices are a bit high and that's fine with me since you can't get their kind of advice at WalMart. They've also gotten most of the business I used to do at PetSmart...it's just a better experience. The rest of the store is what hardware stores USED to be. I didn't think of buying some toilet repair parts here, I first went to a big box store. Not surprisingly, what I bought was pure crap. While buying Oscar-stuff at Rosedale, I went to their plumbing aisle and found a BUNCH of options and of much better quality. At home, I removed the big box stuff and threw it into the parts box. The stuff from Rosedale was perfect. Lesson learned, I'll go out of my way to shop here. read more

Good 1st purchase experience - hardware & garden equipment: I purchased garden boots and a significant $-amount in garden care equipment at Rosedale Mills this weekend. The experience was generally good. In the main store, the young girl at the register was quick and courteous. The main reason for my visit was to purchase Stihl garden equipment. The separate mini-showroom and service building were clean and presentable. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. They also had a nice farmer's market going on when I arrived. This showed they support the local business with more than just supplies but also with a central venue. I would recommend Rosedale Mills which has good selection and presentation - a well-rounded business. read more

RDM is a big place that has everything we need for our pets, yard/outdoor living and then some. Their selection is huge and their prices are competitive. Unlike a big box chain store, we can also get useful advice and the staff knows what's on the shelves. read more

The owner is very nice and agreed to help my local farm with shed moving. I am very appreciative of the employees efforts to move 2 sheds on my farm. What was shocking to me was the abject rudeness and a barrage of insults from an employee named Elizabeth when discussing the payment for the move. Her verbal abuse left me stunned and traumatized. read more

I've been going to Rosedal Mills for years, but the customer service has gone way downhill recently. A few months ago I ordered a topsoil delivery. They missed the delivery date and then told me that they wouldn't be able to deliver it the next day or for serveral days thereafter. I cancelled the order and went with Jack's Nursery which delivered the topsoil right away - Jack's is a much better, friendlier place. Also, a few months back I got a propane tank filled at Rosedale. They broke the handle during the refilling. They told me that they didn't have replacement tanks at the moment but took my number and told me someone would call about a replacement. No one called. When I went in today, they denied that someone said they would call me, told me that they didn't break the handle and wouldn't replace the tank. I won't be going back. read more
