Front desk is lazy and can't look up insurance. Jen from the front desk told me I wasn't covered and that she called all the insurance companies and they all told her I wasn't covered with them. They ended up stopping my service in the middle of my appointment because they wanted payment first because they couldn't find my insurance info. My hygienist is good & they never make me wait for than a few min. Office is also very clean & modern. My only two complaints are: 1. At every visit, they try to sell you something i.e. whitening, custom mouth guards, etc. 2. They do an oral cancer screening that they don't charge you for if your insurance doesn't cover it, but I get a bill for it a lot of the time & have to call the office to resolve. I've asked to skip the cancer screening to avoid the billing issues, but they are very pushy about doing it. Overall a good office, but sales tactics make the experience a little less enjoyable. read more

I have been coming to RPD for about a year now, my husband found them first, now our whole family comes here. The office is a newly acquired building, it used to be an ice factory. The office is spacious and clean with many treatment rooms with overhead mounted TV's for you to watch while having dental work done. The staff is very friendly and professional. We have been seen by all of the dentists, great bedside manner. I just adore Bonnie, my hygienist! They also have many dental technicians, everyone works so well together to ensure you have a seamless visit while at the dentist, I have never had more than a 5 minute wait! The office staff is very knowledgeable they go over treatment plans and do offer in house financing as well. We do feel that the out of pocket expenses, not covered by insurance plans are a little pricier than other dentists, but not outrageous. We like the fact that they are also tech savvy, we get emails, texts and sometimes phone calls to remind us of our upcoming appointments, they also email satisfaction surveys post visit. I highly recommend RPD to those in the area, they have great hours, a modern office and terrific staff! read more

Amazing service! I'm terrified of dentists and I've avoided them as much as I could but I had to go for a much needed cleaning. I found the receptionist were very nice and hospitable. Their smiles definitely helped my nervousness. (They even charged my phone cause I had no battery) the Dental Assistant was very nice and gentle, did I mention that they give you a "welcome" package that has toothpaste, toothbrush, magnets, pen..etc I'm a fan of miscellaneous gifts... Lol I highly recommend this Dentistry for the great service and they have TVs on the ceilings above every chair! Watching The View helped my nerves.. Lol read more

I'm super terrified of the dentist. After a horrible experience with a previous doctor , I refused to go into another office until I found a doctor and a office that I'm 100% comfortable with. I finally made an appointment with RPD&I .. and from the initial contact to me actually going into the office they were really helpful. And more importantly they were understanding. Amazing!!! If I could give them more stars I totally would! Everyone is soooooo friendly. They are down to earth, and totally make you feel welcomed as if you have always been a member of their practice. Oshidar and Dr. Rodriguez are very thorough in making sure that you get the best treatment possible and also ensure that you know everything that is going on when you are there. And of course praise has to go out to the medical and front office staff that help to make this a stellar dentists office. These are the outstanding dental hygienists who make sure that you are comfortable and work hard to ensure you leave with a clean smile and to the professional and courteous office staff when you check-in to when you are ready to leave. So the service was good the only compliant is the lack of communication regarding billing. After every appointment I would go to the desk and ask; what do I owe? I was told it is covered under your insurance, have a nice day. I have an excellent dental plan but later found out I was assigned a dentist that is not covered under my dental plan (which was unknown to me until the bill was sent to my home). Ensure that the dentist you are seeing is covered under your insurance to avoid hefty bills. My son and I will no longer be customers of Roselle Park Dental due their poor communication with exact fees/co-pays of services owed on the same day of service. read more

I travel all the way from Jersey City for this place! It is super clean, the front desk staff are wonderful and professional. Dr. Oshidar does amazing work, anytime I needed work done I never felt pain besides the initial anesthesia injection and I absolutely love my hygienist, Bonnie! I am almost hesitant to mention her here because more people might book her, making it hard for me to get an appointment with her! hahaha. In astonishment that I even have to write this! Almost $400 for a first time visit! I was told X-rays and assessment are no charge when I first called, was told over the phone the visit would be about 100$, and furthermore was never informed afterwards! Front Desk staff acts as your accountant at the end of your visit & gives sketchy costs, and now I know why! If you are rich$$ and willing to pay 3X the average dental costs for a free mug and modern furniture, then please see them. Otherwise, AVOID! I honestly would have fell for the high costs given the nice internal dental staff, but thanks for the sketchy costs, which is why I decided to shop for other dental offices and found the same services that came with honesty at a reduced price. read more

I have been going to RP Dental for about 2-2.5 years. In the beginning, everything seemed to be going well. I liked that they had Saturday office hours especially since I had to have cleanings done every 3 months vs. every 6 months because I have gum disease. One of the dental hygienist that works on Saturdays (named Ann-Marie) was so friendly and made sure that I felt comfortable while doing my cleanings. During my last visit, I was told that I needed to see an endodontist (root canal specialist) for two of my front teeth. The receptionist (I didn't get her name) was nice enough to get me the info for two endodontists in the area. I decided to get a 2nd opinion and went to a dentist near my job and she confirmed what I was told at RP Dental. Fine! Even though, I cancelled my appt. to have the root canal done by the dentists at RP Dental since I was told that it had to be done by a specialist, I was STILL charged for the procedure (almost $300!! - payment 1 out of 4) which I never had done! I was beyond frustrated when I had to take time out of work day to call my credit card company and RP Dental so that the charge could be reimbursed back to my account. SMH read more

Like an earlier review, it all seemed fine at first. My daughter got a spacer for her bottom teeth to make her transition to braces smoother when the time came. The spacer eventually started digging in her gums on her back teeth and she started bleeding so we removed it and called RPD to let them know what happened and what we should do. They advised my wife to come in to take a look the next day which my wife does - in and out in 5 minutes, the dentist says next scheduled visit they will put the spacer back. Fast forward and we get an insurance claim and bill for the visit because the dentist looked in my daughter's mouth for less than a minute and said come back later. I understand if they would have actually done something, but they just want $$$, they could have told us over the phone to leave the spacer out and come back for her next scheduled visit. We promptly switched to another dentist. read more
