I am not Italian, but I grew up with Italians. I know good Italian food. YES, this is the best Italian food you will have anywhere. Their sauce is the best. I called it more Sicilian because it was sweeter than some. We had a group of eleven and had reservations. Great, sweet, efficient waitress served us all with a smile. I think we all had something different, and everything was absolutely delicious. You want to eat the sauce with a spoon because it is so good. The salads were fresh with great dressing. Lasagne, manicotti, stuffed shells, ravioli, spaghetti, alfredo with shrimp, meatballs....Everything was fabulous. We all had cream puffs for dessert, and I bought all they had to take home. WOW! We had a great time - but only after we went back home to get wine. They are applying for a new beverage/liquor license and could not sell wine. Bring your own. Dinner will be fabulous! read more

This restaurant used to be a favorite when I lived in Wilkes County several years ago. Unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. The ambience felt very dead and slightly uncomfortable unfortunately. But I can tell this is probably a popular special event restaurant, i.e. for date nights, etc. There are some reviews that mention that they know good Italian, and that this restaurant is it; sadly, it is not great at all. The marinara sauce has tons of sugar added and lacks any real tomato flavor because of so much sugar. The chicken and meatballs were very overcooked and tough to cut. Also we mentioned the meatballs were incredibly spicy (my fiancé mentioned this to our server, after he tried his and after we heard the table next to us mention it, but nothing was done about it). I think there is a lack of tasting the food and ensuring it's great before it comes out of the kitchen. The sunny salad is still good, with the dressing from Sunny Italy. Our server was super sweet! She did not know the menu well at all. We really wanted to order the limoncello cake, but after the incredibly lackluster meal, we passed on it, fearing our dessert experience would be the same as the meal. If you're looking for a good Italian meal, this place is not it unfortunately. It was a very sad experience. read more

Roselli's on 10th in Wilkesboro is outstanding! We came with a big group of guys and the chef went above and beyond for us again. Antipasto, salads, ciabatta bread and garlic knots...oh that ciabatta is cia-bada-bing unbeatable. The entrees are huge and authentic, full of flavor. Service was great, super friendly and they made sure everything ran smoothly for our large table. Roselli's continues to be a true hidden gem in town--definitely worth stopping in! I had heard wonderful things about the food at Roselli's on 10th. My husband and I checked out some of the local wineries and decided to eat here for dinner. The restaurant is small but charming. I love the picture of lady and tramp on the window. Our waiter was awesome. He was really nice and gave us excellent suggestion. For our appetizer, we tried the seafood stuffed mushrooms. They were packed with flavorful crab, and topped with delicious shrimp. The waiter even brought out marinara for me to try since I was figuring out what I wanted to eat. I ordered the seafood pasta. The platter was huge. All of the seafood was very plump and perfectly cooked. The mussels were well cleaned and had a lovely flavor. All of the entrées come with a salad, and I tried their sunny Italy salad. The dressing is delicious and I would recommend getting it. For dessert I have their cream puff, which was also very good. The place is a real gem. Owner chef came out to greet us. Never heard of this place or thought about going there. We are foodies from Savannah Georgia. Thought the place looked interesting. Exceptional fresh Italian cuisine . Lovely salad Italian salad fresh dressing tasty tomatoes with homemade dressing. Lasagna was very good. Highlight the best angel hair pasta with shrimp and scallops white wine sauce with light black and green olives with capers to make you swoon. Something you could only get in Italy if you know what I mean. Cory made it all perfect. She is super sweet and very helpful. She said order the Alfredo and deserts. If you go find her. She is detail oriented and makes you evening special. The place is also eclectic and if you look hard enough shows the owners love of nostalgia. Lovely little Italian restaurant with the best Italian I have ever had. We shared crab stuffed mushrooms that were perfect. The lasagna was cooked to perfection. We sat at the bar because we did not have reservations but enjoyed talking with all the staff. The dessert case was behind us which kept tempting us. We took three desserts home. Our favorite in order raspberry limon cello, triple chocolate cake, peanut butter brownie. We definitely will be back to celebrate special occasions as we are about an hour drive away. My fiancé and I were considering this establishment to cater for our wedding, and after reaching out to the owner, we were invited to come try the "best Italian food in Wilkes County" on Valentine's Day. We set up a reservation and arrived for dinner, and were met with a limited Valentines Day menu that totaled $95 for two people (we were not made aware of this and feel as though we had been swindled into coming to pay for the highly priced limited menu). Even though we were not made aware of this beforehand we still decided to give it a try. The food was subpar at best, the staff were very inattentive, and the owner did not even introduce herself after inviting us to come discuss catering options after eating. Overall the food was highly overpriced for the small portions and the below average flavor. Working with the owner as a potential client was also a red flag, as communication was very difficult and the establishment seemed very disorganized. My fiancé and I will not be catering with Roselli's for our wedding, nor will we be eating there again. read more

Per John Roselli, the Roselli's To Go location is permanently closed. But thank goodness, we still have the downtown location. My wife's lasagna was delicious as always. My special of the evening, 3 cheese ravioli with spinach and mushrooms, was great. It was covered with a delicious cream sauce. "Sunny" salads tasted great. Valentine's special included an appetizer, and we got pimento cheese with toasted baguette slices. It was also great. Dessert was a slice of lemoncello cake. What a treat! Was in town for four nights passing through while traveling with my husband. We went here one night and went back a second time. The food is outstanding! The desserts are made in house. This is a second generation family owned restaurant with family recipes. The owner/son/chef came to our table to greet us. His Roselli sauce is to die for with the ciabatta bread appetizer, salad dressing on the Suny salad is homemade, entrees were exceptional and the cheesecakes and chocolate cake make me salivate just thinking about them. Very lovely and pleasant staff. However, I have to warn you that this was the worst pasta I have eaten in my life. Two of our party of three declared their dishes inedible, while I suffered through my lasagna for the sake of an accurate review. It was extremely disappointing. The pasta sauces were the worst part: they were intolerably sugary and sweet. The pasta itself was either watery and mushy (the fresh-made angel hair) or burnt (the lasagna sheets) or tasted like it had been sitting idly for hours before being served (the spaghetti). Roselli's on 10th review. Second time dining with them. The first time was good but missed the mark on a couple things. Despite that we decided to go back and try the wings and pizza this time . The fb posts rave about the crab cakes so we were exited to try them only to arrive and they not be available tonight despite the fact they were printed on the menus. I understand having a moving menu but if that's the case, take time to sharpie out what's not available or print new menus each night. Tried to order the wings- also told they were not available that they were not carrying them any more. Why are they still on the menu? Mind you the first time we went two weeks ago we were also told they were out of those times making it seem that they had simply ran out for the night. We settled on shrimp cocktail. Excellent shrimp- large size, cooked perfectly. Cocktails sauce was spot on. There were five shrimp. There were two of us... it's a pet peeve... why not do four or six ? It was a $14 appetizer. One more shrimp is not going to break that margin. Or charge a dollar more! It is just dumb to do an odd number. I ordered a dinner size salad- which turned out to be the same size salad as I had two weeks prior only on a bigger plate. Moving on we were determined to order Pizza. We each ordered a 12" pizza with our own toppings. I also ordered a second 12" with only pepperoni to go and ask that they put it in when my food came. My pizza came out with wrong toppings. The waitress spied it and knowing I was frustrated with the other issues immediately took it back and asked I for a second pizza to be made with the correct toppings. 20 min later (because it takes time to cook) my pizza came out with correct toppings . The second pepperoni came out also already boxed. I tried to enjoy my pizza but honestly it wasn't cooked all the way. The peppers and onions were still rather crunchy and raw and the dough while crispy on the bottom was very doughy. Not a great experience. The owner came over and chatted. I made mention of the doughy crust to the waitress but I think the waitress was over us by that point. The owner of the second location stopped by to chat cheesecakes which was lovely and I honestly will try her location. I left thinking that I would go back one more time to the location on 10th just to give it a valiant effort, however, I got home and brought the pepperoni to go pizza inside. It was for my nephew. I opened the box to refrigerate the pizza for his midnight snack and it was clearly way over cooked. Burnt in some areas and over all very unappealing. As much as I I would love to like this place for the nostalgia of it and the salad is amazing the rest of it is just frustrating. The first visit I ordered shrimp parm. Which I was told from the waitress was shrimp breaded and pan fried with pasta. What I received was poached shrimp with half reds sauce on angel hair and half Alfredo on fettuccine which was clumped and stuck together. Clearly one of those Italian restaurants where the food should speak for the lack of organization but sadly it does not. At $140 (yes we had a few drinks) we shouldn't have had doughy pizza and gotten home with a burnt one. read more

I'm very excited to report that almost every negative aspect I had pointed out in my first review has been resolved. They recently hired a Sicilian sous-chef / cook to help the owner out in the kitchen area with plating and cooking, and they also have a full time salad maker as well. We gave them another try and are excited to report that the food, service, etc. was very good ! Would still like to see them focus in on a few select routine meals & just 2-3 specials vs. them having so many choices on the menu & being listed as specials that one can't even remember what the waitress had listed off. Being willing to cook anything and everything (whether on or off menu) is a costly way to run a restaurant, and can lead to higher risk of foodborne illness trying to stock so many items. That all being said - huge improvement over our first visit !! Bravo - we will eat here again for sure. read more
