Currently in the process of moving out - the only reason I am moving is to be closer to work (going from a 35 mile commute each way to 7). Over the past year and a half, I have very much enjoyed my stay at Rosemeade. The buildings are not old or falling apart by any means, but are in the process of being updated (including all-new slider doors and windows). The community is divided into small buildings with about 8 units each, with key access per building. I always felt very safe here, and it's a great place to go for a walk. The amenities, including the fitness center and movie room in the main building are excellent. I had a mid-sized one bedroom unit, with nice vaulted ceilings, washer/dryer and a balcony with storage unit. Very comfortable, nice amount of space; my only wish would be for a little more closet space. The office staff has always been friendly and responsive to any question or concern, and the maintenance staff is quick and courteous. Nice and quiet, out of the way on the top of a small hill, and across from a great gas station with a Dunkin Donuts. Wasn't expecting this to be as much of a plus as it turned out to be every morning! I'd definitely recommend Rosemeade to anyone looking for an apartment in the area - great place, great value. If I didn't need to cut down on my commute, I'd definitely be staying. read more

Wait until you have a maintenance issue! The noise coming from a faulty, rusted a/c compressor outside my bedroom was so loud I couldn't sleep there. I ended up putting my mattress in the living room to avoid the noise. When I told Steve, the inept manager, my problem, he went off on a tangent about how new EPA regulations make replacing the compressor such a hassle. And having to rewire the new unit and get into the walls to put in new conduit...yada yada yada !! Just do your job Steve!! No excuses! Just get results. Take care of your tenants!! So I moved out two months before my lease was up and forfeited a months rent. But I couldn't deal with the noise and moved on. The work order placed by Jennifer, the very competent assistant manager, was placed on May 20, and I moved out on June 19, and still no work being done to resolve the issue. Do not rent here. Steve the manager is rude, obnoxious, and dismissive. My mothers has notified the staff numerous times and one year later it gets worse everyday. Asked for air quality help, told its dust and only offer to paint and not resolve the air quality issues. She also has mice, we have caught 5 in this month alone. read more

About a year ago, I was doing exactly the same thing as you; sifting through these terrible reviews choosing to ignore them because I was enamored by the fancy amenities and beautiful apartment homes. I eventually moved into Rosemeade, and it ended up being nothing short of regrets and endless frustration. Here is my warning: don't make the same mistake I did, you will absolutely regret it. For starters, everything the other bad reviewers have said are true. Electric bills were OUTRAGEOUS. My wife and I kept our heat set to 62 degrees, and still paid ~400/month to "heat" our apartment. Oh, and don't even get me started on the parking situation. First, a whole apartment gets only one assigned parking space, so anyone outside of that one parking pass needs to utilize the guest parking areas. There are two problems with this: 1) residents who are assigned a parking spot often still park in guest parking because it is closer to their building than their assigned spot, and 2) during the holidays and the weekends those spots fill up quick. I can't even count how many times I have had to park at least a quarter of a mile away from my apartment home. And again, Rosemeade chose to ignore these very valid complaints from their residents, which brings me to my last and perhaps most important point of this review: the sheer ineptitude and incompetence of the staff here. We had a persistent toilet issue that started about a quarter of the way into our residency at Rosemeade. When I first noticed the issue, I will admit that they were prompt in sending a maintenance guy out. But, from there it went downhill. After his initial "assessment" he concluded that our consistently dry toilet bowl was due to faulty construction and a pressure difference between the sewer systems of our neighbors. I refuted this and told him that couldn't be the case because this issue had just began and was not an issue when we moved in, and that it had to be an issue with the toilet. Fast forward a few weeks, after multiple unreturned emails and phone calls, the office staff finally contacted me and let me know that they would be sending a plumber. He comes, puts some calk around the bottom of the toilet, and said if that didn't work it was likely a microfracture somewhere in the plumbing and that we would need a new toilet. Again, after weeks of not hearing anything from the office staff (maybe even months) after sending multiple emails, my wife receives a phone call stating that a plumber was literally on the way to our apartment right then. This was a weekday at like 11 AM, and we were both working so we of course had to reschedule. We were NEVER informed of this prior to that phone call. Megan was extremely rude and snarky to my wife when she stated that wouldn't work for us and legitimately couldn't wrap her head around the idea of a 24-hour notice. I won't bore you with the rest of the details about the toilet, but do know this fiasco continued to our move-out date and our toilet was never fixed. Oh, and remember those beautiful amenities I mentioned earlier? Yeah, those have been completely shut down since March and still haven't opened. Rosemeade insisted that everything was shut down to mitigate the risk of the virus, yet every other apartment community in the area that we toured found a safe way open theirs. To make matters worse, there was no communication from Rosemeade regarding this matter. At the end of the day, this wasn't a decision based on our safety, but rather, a financially driven decision as they save money from closed amenities. I will end by saying this: Rosemeade has the potential to be an excellent apartment community, but this is significantly hindered by the inadequacy of the staff. Love love love it. Only been living here for a week and I'm obsessed with living in my apartment. Everything is so clean and fresh. They take care of everything for you it's like living in a hotel. The buildings and landscape are well maintained. With a pool, tennis court, basketball court, laundromat and gym. Inside the grounds feel pretty safe, outside is always lit up. Slider doors and fireplace seems the standard. Fireplace is more for ambient fires, not consistent/ heat replacing fires. Cathedral ceilings, central air, electric range, garbage disposal and dishwasher are a nice plus. They no longer charge extra for pets, as I'm told (recent change). If you're against pets, turn away, as there are plenty being walked around. From experience to pass on, some advice I should've done as well, be persistent with your problems. Be it noise or contact/ service hours, follow up on issues until a definitive resolution is given. The maintenance and landscapers are pretty helpful and friendly. Lauren from the office is polite and attentive. As a heads up, it is on the pricier side. We got the moderate 1 bedroom, 1 bath for 940 a month ( yearly contract required or it goes up 100). Deposit fees if you got meh credit, they won't turn you away (just may havr to put full first month). Credit check and application fee ( like 35 each person?). Electronic key deposit. They'll prorate you in, but not out so wait out the last month in full. Strict parking rules, those without a permit are towed if not parked in visitors parking. Plowing and shoveling taken care of in the winter. They try with community events. Gas station/ dunkin donuts across the street. Save for a few hiccups here and there it was a good stay, time to embrace the mortgage overlords though. read more

This place is rediculous, when you move in they ask you to write a good review because everyone is moving out . Things were good for a year then they put water monitors on us to pay for that. All of management was let go except for one . Now they are trying to go up on the rent by hundreds of dollars and saying its at Market Price . Its at market price for Boston.This is Southbridge ma home of us bluecollar workers what are they thinking. Sunday I saw 5 residence moving out . Getting frustrated... Management turns over often, and each batch cares less and less. The gym equipment is often broken, and they are slow to repair it. Last month it was the cable weight center. This month its the treadmill. Everything takes a minimum of 2 weeks to get fixed, and sometimes an entire month. They used to fix the grass up nice, now its brown and dead, and weeds are everywhere. They've also stopped picking up dog poop, so the place is littered with it. Every summer they promise and promise to repave the asphalt. They never do it. don't believe them if they promise it if you're signing the lease! The lines for the parking spots are completely faded, and residents are constantly fighting with each other for parking in their spot (there is only 1 numbered assigned spot per apartment, even a 2bedroom). The management does nothing about kids playing in the gym on the eqipment. Tonight a child was clearly trying to break one of the machines, and no one cares. The apartments themselves are nice if you manage to get a renovated one. Water is no longer free. Separate bill comes each month. Jeannie was horrible to deal with. She clearly hated you, her job, and everyhting around her. She was always on the phone and never wanted to listne to her residents. read more
