I've been a patient at Rosemore Eyecare for nearly 10 years, and I couldn't ask for a better experience. I saw Dr. Zak all throughout my college years. He was always welcoming, informative and genuinely caring. He helped me through a few eye issues, and I loved coming in for my yearly eye exams. Now that I've moved, I see his brother, Dr. Ryan, at their location in The Colony. He's just as helpful, friendly, and professional. Each visit I feel like I leave with more information about the health of my eyes and best practices I can do to care for my eyesight. You can tell care runs deep in this family business. Both locations have wonderful staff who make everything easy. They're always quick to help with scheduling, and on several occasions when I have run out of contacts, they make sure I have trials so I won't go without. The team's kindness and willingness to go above and beyond have been consistent throughout the years. I feel truly lucky to have found an optometry practice I can rely on. They're brothers - there's a whole history on their website about how optometry is the family business/runs in the family - and you can tell the place is family-owned because they're all so friendly inside. I'm a child when it comes to folks messing with my eyes and these guys can always get good images to see what's going on - super impressive! My family (me, two kids, hubs) have seen Dr. Zak for 3 years. If you're counting, that's 12 full visits, plus follow ups for prescription changes and a pandemic in there too. Dr. Zak is very personable, relatable, and explains everything very well. I highly recommend paying for the optomap (I think it's called that--where they don't dilate your eyes). They keep your files on record and you can easily compare year over year to look for changes. They're great about making sure the contacts and prescription are good fits and on my last visit the doctor scheduled me a week after my appointment to follow up on my prescription change. He heard my concerns and offered suggested causes and solutions. For the kids, I've had varied reviews for the techs that does the testing at the beginning of the appointment. They are often without kid-experience and can give vague instructions for the kids. My youngest is a wiggle wart so I have had to offer help. However, I will say that even though the testing and retesting and reretesting takes a long time, the techs never lose their patience or show frustration. You'll notice I still give a five star review because I still feel that we are welcome and are treated well. When I first went I read a review about someone who was so upset that their appointment turned into a medical visit and became expensive. I was nervous for my first visit, but I will say it was made very clear that a visit could become medical. That's a legal requirement for coding and to avoid fraud (if an eye appointment becomes medical it must be billed accordingly) not a sneaky medical practice. Overall, we're happy to make the drive (now 30 minutes) to continue to go to Rosemore. read more

I've been here a couple of times now, first for a new prescription and then a follow up test. Generally speaking the staff is nice and they have a pretty good collection of spectacles on hand and the prices seem reasonable to me. I was able to find something I liked and it was ready in about a week. Now where I think this practice really excels is the service. First you can make appointments online and they have Saturday hours although, not all types of visits can be done Saturday. Second they are really good about communicating with you on the price and what your insurance covers. Finally and most importantly I really like Dr. Zak's style. He's a a good guy to begin with and he's great about communicating every step as he goes through the tests and procedures. He took a good amount of time going over my results with me and I really appreciate that effort on his part. I would highly recommend you give them a shot. read more

I cannot recommend Rosemore Eye Care enough. The doctor will give you very detailed information on things that you can do besides glasses, like heat masks to stimulate tear production, special OTC solutions for washing your eyelids and lashes to keep your eyes clean, and so on. The optometrists will go above and beyond to ask how you will use your glasses (for example reading books vs computer screens, whether you have multiple monitors, etc) so that your glasses can be exactly tailored to your needs. These are questions that the folks at Costco probably don't even have the time to ask. read more

Many years ago, I received a strong referral from a friend and I've been going to Rosemore Eye Care ever since. I am impressed with the thoroughness of the exams and the amount of care they provide. Recently, my eyeglasses were recently damaged and out of warranty, the company offered to replace my lenses at no charge. After a few days, I learned that they damaged the frames while installing the replacement lenses. They immediately ordered new frames and I picked up my new eyeglasses a few days later. Awesome. I find it difficult to get well fitting contact lenses due to severe astigmatism from physical damage to one of my eyes. So after several fruitless attempts, I thought I'd try Dr. Zak Rosemore. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the patience, knowledge about special lenses for my condition and overall people skills he displayed. It took several weeks for us to arrive at what would be the best fit for my lenses, and I give kudos to Dr. Rosemore for his professionalism, patience and desire to get it right, throughout the process. Their opticians are terrible. They seem to be understaffed. They do not answer the phone and do not return calls when you leave a message. Their service is slow, disorganized, inconsistent and unprofessional. Their eyeglass selection is limited. They often do not call the customer when their glasses or contacts arrive. You have to keep calling them to find out if they have received them. This is not a recent change, these issues have been a problem for many years. They just can't seem to get it together. I am happy with the dr. but will be buying my glasses/contacts elsewhere. If you prefer one-stop shopping, this is not the place. read more

I do like Dr. Rosemore. Rating is for staff. I had exam and then the wanted me to get my glasses there although they did not have my brand. They filled insurance on exam and glasses. I called when it became apparent this was a problem to gain access to what my vendors were at other opticians. Asked four times to have them delete the glasses claims. The front office girl, Lucy?! I am so happy that I found Rosemore Eye Care! First, they are totally "In network" with VSP, meaning my out-of-pocket costs were less than if I visit a big box eyewear store where they are NEVER in network. This is my second year seeing Dr. Zac. They have the latest diagnostic equipment. Dr. Zac was able to help me with my complicated prescription (I need progressive lenses with a base and prism). When it comes to selecting frames and lenses, Chris and Kaitlyn are true professionals, and give expert advice. Dr. Zac also provided input on the best type of lenses for me. The front desk people were nice. I didn't get any explanation what is considered Vision or Medical eye exam by the front desk people. Looks like that if you have done LASIK, Floaters, or Cataract procedure, your visit will be considered Medical Eye exam and not Vision Eye exam (regardless you have any problem or not). I don't think this is the fair way of filing my claim as I've checked about the usual fee on the Internet after my examination this morning. The examination itself was great. The place is clean. Prospective patients need to check what they are going to charge by asking FIRST and shop around. There are many optometrists that do the same great quality of work with much less $$$ (previous optometrists that I've gone to only charge $10 copay). In my case, I paid almost $150 extra out of my pocket. You have been warned. Update 11/18/18: A BBB case has been opened without any response: http://dallas.app.bbb.org/complaint/view/91466562/c/p3ay32 Looks like even Retina scan is covered by my EyeMed insurance. I found Dr. Zak Rosemore and his staff to be very friendly. I probably have the worst eyes of anybody! I had lasik in late 1999 and, I've needed to wear contacts for the past 3 or 4 years because my eyes are just getting bad again! (previously my eyes were a minus 15!) Dr. Zak went above and beyond to try to get me to see better. He gave me several different contacts to try before we finally got the right ones. I've never had an eye doctor take so much time to try to find the contacts that work for me. I was going to their office every week for at least a month! My company was providing discount program for Davis and since I just started the company, although the program was effective, they could not view my discount. I bought the glasses and did eye exam for my son anyway, considering I could apply and get the discount thereafter, once they see me in the system. But when I applied for reimbursement of the discount amount, they brushed me off, stating they already applied a discount more than I would have gotten. Paid more than $400 for kids glasses and eye exam and but will never go there again or refer to anyone. read more

I just moved to Dallas and needed to find an eye doctor. I looked online to find the nearest eye doctor to me. I am so glad that Dr. Rosemore was the closest. I will not be looking for a new eye doctor as long as I am in Dallas. He is on time, friendly, and extremely good at his job! The two doctors at Rosemore Eye Care provide such a high quality experience with every visit. They take the time to thoroughly examine issues, educate me as the patient and follow up as needed to resolve any issues. When I originally visited the office for an annual exam and contact lenses, the doctors provided me samples to wear and set free follow up appointments just to make sure the lenses fit properly and weren't causing any issues. When I had an eye infection, the two doctors worked together to see me right away, get me on the right drops and ensure the issue was completely fixed. I'm very happy to have found such a great eye doctor and recommend this office to my friends. read more

Dr. Zak and Dr. Ryan are both wonderful Optometrists with extreme passion for what they do. Not only did they identify an overcorrection by my previous Optometrist, they also went above and beyond with my mother to connect her with an excellent Ophthalmologist who ultimately diagnosed her with Sjogren's syndrome instead of an eye infection which was the previous diagnosis by another clinic. Throughout the entire process they kept in contact with both the Ophthalmologist and us to make sure proper care was given and received. I've been going to Dr. Ryan Rosemore for the last 3 years and he is by far the best optometrist I've ever been to. My right eye is extremely hard to fit with contacts and Dr. Rosemore is the only doctor that has taken the time to go through countless trial contacts to find the correct contact for me. Dr. Ryan Rosemore knows his neuro-optical medicine very well. I recently had a sudden onset of optic neuropathy. He didn't mess around, and advised my particular condition was a medical emergency.
