    Amazing breakfast

Rosewood is a beautiful B&B owned by the nicest couple. We stayed for a ski weekend in March 2016 and had such a great experience. The building itself has a lot of history - built in the 1850s, it's housed many famous figures like Charlie Chaplin. The owners have done a great job in maintaining the building and all the rooms. The bedrooms are unique, each with its own theme and decorated with care and thought to give the place a homey and cozy feel. We stayed in the Mary Pickford suite, absolutely loved the room decor and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic!! The owners served us three courses each morning. Some highlights: the pina colada muffins (so moist and served warm right out of the oven), lemon poached pears, and the mushroom and potato frittatas (the fluffiest frittata I've ever had). They also baked cookies every evening for a nice little treat before bed. Rosewood is a short drive from Sunapee and Pats Peak, making it an excellent choice for an overnight ski trip. Id definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a weekend getaway in New Hampshire. You'll fall in love with the place, just like I did!

First time here with a living social coupon....This was an amazing get away! Our room was perfectly clean and comfortable and cool. My spouse and I love nature so we walked around and enjoyed the quietness of nature. The owner was so sweet and a wonderful hostess. There is no negatives about this inn. The breakfast...amazing...even my spouse..who is so into processed food loved the farm fresh breakfast!!! Fresh muffins..fresh fruit and freshly baked stuffed croissants. No cell service but we really need to unplug so it's very healthy! Wish I never had to leave...we dad will be back.

The 3 course breakfast was to die for and Stan was happy to recommend some great local hiking trails in the area.

The only complaints I have are the pillows. I think they're made out of memory foam?? Really stiff memory foam?? Like another user said: bring your own pillow. There were cotton pillows in the closet, but I like feathered more. I just used the blanket at the end of the bed as a pillow instead. Works well. The bed is stiff, but then again, I do like soft surfaces more. However, it's not impossible to sleep on because I am more adjusting towards different surfaces. I could sleep on the floor and I'd still be comfortable. Lol In the future, change your pillows. I know it may be a cheaper option or maybe it's "proven" to work better than cotton or feathered, but put some money into more expensive pillows. Food is decent, staff is nice. 7/10-Would go here again if the pillows were better...or I could always bring my own, too.

We had a two bedroom suite and only way to cool second bedroom was to use a fan to blow air in from main room. T.V. reception was poor. The room was tired in need of repairs. Would not recommend this hotel.

The surrounding region also has 2-3 restaurants, and the cottage is right near a lake. The stay was quite comfortable. The cottage size is large and easily accommodate at least 3 people. The wireless reception is poor, and it is not an ideal place to stay if you require Internet for work/personal reasons.

The cheese board I thought was fine, although my wife and daughter thought the assortment of meats seemed passed their expiry date. My wife's squash soup had separated and appeared to have an oily film on the surface. She stirred it and it mixed together. The main course turkey white was dry and very grisly and did not have much texture to it. The dark meat was extremely dry. The mashed potatoes were OK but the gravy was mostly AWOL!. There was a dab of cranberries and a decent assortment of vegetables. The dessert was served mine was a chocolate cake and some how they managed to get both sides stale! Not just a little stale but 3 day old stale. We told them about most of the issues and they gave us $25 off and 4 slices of white meat that looked like loaf. Eaten there before and mostly found it enjoyable. But spending $350-400 and getting this is not acceptable. We could have gone to the Red Arrow diner and gotten a better meal for $75.

I was so frazzled by then, I couldn't think straight and was planning on sleeping in my car, hoping I wouldn't get woken by the cops or a snow plow. But the wonderful woman who had just gotten off duty at the front desk heard my story, she quickly arranged for me to check in at the Inn. The room was nicely appointed and cozy and I was infinitely grateful to be snuggled in a very comfortable bed for the next 18 hours of howling winds and so much snow... The entire staff looked out for me as I waited out the storm and worked at calming my nerves enough to get back on the road. I had dinner the next day from the restaurant down stairs: a delicious burger the host brought to my room. The next day the same lady who saved me from the gas station floor leant me her own snow brush (which was a beaut!) so I could get back on the road, much calmer and happier than when I had got off. Thank you for the rescue and for the yummy chocolate chip cookies, New London Inn! I am forever grateful
