I've been going to Rosewood Dental Group in Camarillo ever since they were literally on Rosewood Ave. I drive all the way from Ventura because I think I receive great service from very professional dentists, hygienists and the entire staff. I have never felt that my dentist was creating work to do in my mouth just to pad his income. Finding a great dentist you trust is like finding a good auto mechanic you can trust. Greeted by the friendly staff. Waited just a few minutes to be called back for my evaluation and teeth cleaning. Dental Assistant was personable and thorough. She was friendly and professional as she gathered and went over my file from my last Dentist. ( 46 years at one office , this is a big change for us) My Dr. Was prompt and covered all my worries about my dental health. He made me feel comfortable and that he will take the time to answer my questions. I appreciated that he performed my first sonic cleaning so he could get to know what he's up against in our future visits. I was glad to hear everything looked good today. I look forward to meeting my assigned dental hygienist in six months. I'd give this business more than 5 's Check out was easy and friendly. I believe the front desk staff at this office is premier compared to the many Drs offices I've been to over my lifetime. I have been a patient of this group for many years. That retired, I do not have dental insurance. I continue to use this group because of my long history with them. Unfortunately, this group does not except any type of payment except cash or check. they say they offer a 10% discount for seniors; however, if one tries to use a credit card, they add a 3% charge. I don't understand why they are so greedy. Update: Dr Packham from Rosewood called me this morning (1 week post review) to tell me that I completely misunderstood their billing practices and that my original comments were totally untrue. He didn't allow that there may have been any miscommunication or lack of clarity coming from their office. He offered me the option to cancel my next appointment. I told him I wanted to let the matter "simmer" before cancelling because I have been with this group for 40+ years. I really like a couple of the dentists and hygienists there. I only posted my original comments at the direct email invitation/link from their office and did not seek out to make a negative review. Very fresh in my mind was my inability to use my HSA card for modestly discounted services. A lesson for us all...be sure you completely understand the billing/insurance/discounts your providers offer, especially if you are a senior. read more

I came to this office and had work done. Please believe me when I say they are so overpriced if you are paying cash. I went for a second opinion and omg SO ridiculous. The work that they did do I ended up having to get it redone and fixed all over. Do not trust this place. And the office manager omg. She should not be working with people. The team of Dentists and Hygienists at Rosewood Dental are amazing. Very professional and knowledgeable. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of care and caution that was taken on my behalf. That being said the front desk is awful. Whether you are on time or early be prepared to wait. A print out with an estimate and services rendered is not provided even when requested. Records management is apparently a thing of the past. My last visit was initially denied by my insurance due to the misspelling of my name. Let's not forget the eye rolling, sarcasm, and lack of basic people skills. With so many other options in the area I will definitely be going elsewhere. read more

Well on my arrival to to my dentist I got charged a 40 dollar fee for missing an appointment. Yes I missed my cleaning appointment 2 days before but I sat there for 10 minutes and know body said a word so I asked the receptionist are you little behind her answer was yes 5 minutes later the person that was going to clean my teeth came out and said sorry we are behind there is only 2 of us working and it's been 2 of us all week because everyone is on vacation. I patiently waited until my cleaning person came and got me 20 minutes late. It's very unfair that they charge us 40 dollars for being late, because I was only 15 minutes behind when I called the day before but they are 20 minutes behind and we are just supposed to understand. I love my dentist but would like my 40 dollars back. I think we should all understand that sometimes things just don't go as planned. read more

We changed dentists for a while to support a local dentist but that didn't turn out so well. So we sucked up on the drive and returned to Rosewood. I think I found my dentist.... I checked yelp for the highest reviews and found a couple other dentists with many reviews at all 5 stars or 4.5 stars, however, they weren't covered by my PPO. I checked Rosewood Dental Group, and they accepted mine. I figured that it was very close, all 5 stars, why not? right? The practice was sharp, clean, and modern decor. All new equipment and just the right music playing for a dental visit, actually pretty relaxing... I was greeted by Miranda who was very accommodating and friendly. Love Rosewood Dental! I was introduced to Rosewood by a friend, who also happens to be a former Dental Hygienist (though, not at Rosewood). I've been going to Rosewood for at least 6+ years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. The front staff is always friendly and professional. Last summer they moved to 4027 Mission Oaks Blvd., just off of Flynn Road in Camarillo, in a new office development. The new office is bright airy and being that they're currently the only residents, there's substantial parking :) My primary dentist is Dr. Sprague. He's great! I had a cracked tooth and was told by a dentist that it would have to come out and have either a bridge or an implant. I decided, upon the recommendation of two friends, to see Matt Pizza. After meeting with him, he told me that I had another option and that was to just leave it alone since it wasn't bothering me. He smoothed the jagged edges, which my other dentist never even suggested. I was impressed with his taking the time to sit down and explain things, go over the x-ray and I got the definite feeling that he wasn't after my money, but wanted to provide the best options. I have been going here for over 20 years and I can't say enough about the entire office team. When I call, they do their best to address any concerns quickly and get me the help I need right away. Cara, at the front desk, always has a smile on her face when she greets me, as do all of the front office staff. Dr. Packham has been my primary dentist since Dr. Anderson(the best) began his retirement. Dr. Packham and his assistant Bouaxay always greet me with a smile and even when it's a routine appointment, they ask if I have any concerns. They always make sure to check with my insurance before any big procedures, so that I am aware of my financial responsibilities. Dr. "Mr" Pizza has also helped me when Dr. Packham was not in. He was also kind and concerned. Everyone offers a friendly "Hello" when you walk down the hallways. Dr. "Mrs." Pizza is the Orthodontist. She has given all three of my children braces and is one of the sweetest doctors you'll ever meet. She always made sure my children were comfortable during their experience with her. The hygienists are all great, too. I usually try to see Anita, my favorite, but occasionally I see one of the other ladies and they are all great.
