His funeral was arranged at another funeral home near where I live, then we made arrangements to have is body buried next to our mother/father at Rosewood. The headstone engraving fee line item from the funeral home near where we live is $200. Rosewood will not allow the other funeral home's vendor on their property. When I spoke to the manager at Rosewood they told me their policy only allows me buy that through Rosewood -- at a cost of $995. That's an insane price for that service -- I feel like I'm being taken advantage of and gouged by a self-serving policy Rosewood has. P.S. Rosewood had previously charged us $995 to add my father's first name and dates to the headstone alongside my mom's. At the time I thought that was a ridiculous price but with my mom already there and with us using them for the funeral service, they kinda had us over a barrel so I just "ate it".
