In late October, we had a roof leak. We got three tree care quotes, and ended up choosing Jesus (the owner of this company), even though his was the highest bid. The main reason was Jesus, who grew up learning from his dad Jose (a long-time tree care crew of a different tree service company). Jesus clearly cared a lot about the trees (e.g., making sure the trimming project would leave the trees healthy), while understanding our needs. So, he suggested changes to some of the limbs and locations of the cut I had envisioned, and explained why. I also liked the fact that he and his dad, along with a few other crew members, would be working on this project. Time line: Originally, I had left a voice mail (Tue), he called back the following day (Wed) to arrange a visit in two days (Fri). On Friday, he gave a verbal quote. I informed him of our decision to go with him the next day (Sat). He emailed a written contract on Monday, and they came early that afternoon to complete the project. We are very happy with the result, and will follow up with his suggestion on maintenance work in a year or so.
