We hired Jose to do a major cleanup of our entire outdoor space, which included overgrown fruit trees, bushes, vines, and tons of weeds. Jose was willing to come give us an estimate on a Saturday and right away we could tell that he was going to do a great job. The work was done just a few days later and was outstanding. He pruned, weeded, cleaned up all the dead leaves and branches, and checked our irrigation system too. I seriously could not be happier with the result. Oh where do I even start. Jose and his crew did good work for the most part for the year or so they worked on our property but here's the negatives: 1. They do not hold a consistent schedule (they come when they please even when they have promised to come at a specific day and time during the week) 2. Communication is inconsistent as well 3. They broke multiple sprinklers in the lawns and did not replace them properly which ruined parts of our sod And last but surely not least 4. When I communicated my grievances with him over text he went to my house and turned off my irrigation system while I was away which killed parts of my lawn and other plants along the irrigation system lines! Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT hire him! He is very unprofessional, I've never dealt with someone who handles themselves in this way. I took an appointment from this service provider for a Saturday at 10:30am. He confirmed it and I was waiting for him. As the appointment time approached and I didn't hear from him, I called him. He sounded surprised by my call having apparently completely forgotten it and saying that I hadn't sent him my address when he had never told me that he hadn't received it !!!! I literally can't find anyone - and so I called Jose and he set up an appointment for a day to come by for an estimate. I had to change all my plans (including a flight!!!) to be able to get back in town and be here to do the consult. I had tried 3 other companies that did a terrible job or charged $1000+ for yard care! Insane. Jose seemed reasonable according to other reviews. Anyways, Jose never showed up. It was really impossible to schedule an initial appointment with this company. Then after rescheduling our first agreed upon appointment, he wanted to reschedule again. I agreed to it, then he asked to reschedule again to the next day. If it's this difficult to schedule this company, I can't imagine actually working with them. Same experience as Lauren, Rona, and Daniel. My mother in law needed some landscaping work done. Called Jose, and he came out the same day to give us a quote. We asked him what day he could start, and he said that Saturday. He told us to have the dirt and mulch delivered, which we did - the day before he said he would be here to do the work. Saturday - No show. Uh oh, mild panic.....I called, he did not answer. I left a message. He texted back "Not today I busy". Um, my MIL's driveway is now blocked with dirt and mulch, so this was a shock. I texted him back as to when he could start. No response. I continued contacting him every other day - for a week - NO RESPONSE. I was polite in every message that I left, but I was becoming more panicked on the inside each additional time he simply ignored the messages. I couldn't believe that anyone would do this. Tell a lady to get items delivered and then to NO SHOW, leaving her stranded? Jose left a Senior Citizen stranded - with a blocked driveway, and would not even give us the courtesy of a response. After a week of unreturned messages, we realized he had no intention of doing the job. And my MIL couldn't get her car out of her garage - wow, thanks Jose. I am shocked that he would show up, act nice, give us a quote AND a start date, and tell my MIL to HAVE DIRT AND MULCH DELIVERED. Only then to NO SHOW, and ignore all following messages left. We had to scramble to find some teenagers looking for cash to get the dirt and mulch moved out of the driveway. We then had to find another landscaper. Rude, unprofessional, and WHAT A MEAN THING TO DO! Why waste all of our time and, WORSE, hurt an old lady, Jose? read more
