Update 12/28/19 - most importantly service is consistent. People are really nice, visit was simple, and I always find glasses I like. Today was now my third visit and each eye doctor visit and glass purchase has been pleasant. And also bought a groupon which is a good deal. My vision insurance only takes contacts or glasses so this deal helps me out when I need both on some years. Original review: Fast simple and easy. Really nice people. The folks at Roslyn Eye Center are professional, friendly and very knowledgeable about the different Eyeglasses in the store and how they fit your face. I walked in with a pair of titanium frames, supposedly unbreakable, but I managed to break them. I didn't buy these glasses at Roslyn Eye Center, but when I brought them in,, it took them one day to repair the supposedly unbreakable glasses. How great is that!! Oh my goodness!!! I can see clearly now! Doctor Battaglia examined me and was so patient, caring and beyond thorough. Kevin, who can never retire for as long as I need glasses, knows his patients. Down to the type of nose guard I need for my comfort! My vision worsened considerably in 1 eye. Between the 2 of them, they discussed my results and creatively planned the prescription distribution for my new glasses. I needed new lenses for a frame I already had and Kevin worked with me to give me what I wanted. First, I was unsure of my prescription so Kevin suggested I see the optometrist. I'm glad I did because even though the distance was the same, she changed the reading a bit (and I'm glad she did). Kevin meticulously did the needed measurements for my new lenses. I have never had an optometrist do the measurements so thoroughly. When I picked up my glasses, it was easy to see his hard work had paid off. Kevin did a great job. Bought a groupon worth$200 . I have to wait for 1/2 hr before I was escorted to do the eye exam. People there are snooty. Looking what u wear , what car u drive.. All eye wear are name brand - lens was $99, +$150 for anti- reflective Len.+ frame . Ended up the total cost is over$500 + a pair of glasses . Well well.. I can't say it is a Good deal. I believe I was treated unfairly at Roslyn Eye Center !! This establishment was graciously providing healthcare workers with complimentary protective safety goggles . I know this because 3 coworker received free pairs after visiting this location . I visited the store for the same courtesy ...... the store owners acted as if this wasn't the practice and appeared not to know what I was talking about . They did finally bring out a pair of goggles which they stated was free but then tried to charge me $15 , then $10 and then finally $ 5.00. Needless to say I walked out . So I lost my glasses a few weeks ago and I was in desperate need of a new pair because i work in an office environment where I'm constantly on the computer as you can imagine my eyes were killing me by the end of the day, anyway my co-worker recommended to go to Roslyn eye centre so passed by after work and I met Gary the owner which greeted me with a friendly smile I told him my situation and he took care of me as if I was one of his own family members. Took my son here for his first pair of glasses. They were so nice and helpful. He got a pair of glasses that suit him perfectly, and he gets tons of compliments on them. In short, they made a first pair of glasses for a child a great experience. I do think that their children's selection is better than their adult selection for frames, but I will definitely consider using them for myself when I need glasses again. read more

Coming to this place was like a NYC 5th ave experience, so classy and beautiful the staff was very nice and helpful. My family and i came for eye exams and glasses and we were warmly greeted by Gary the store owner. He then introduced us to Dr. Battaglia-caponga the onsite optometrist, she was sweet, informative, knowledgeable, and so professional. after we all got our exams done Marta the store manager who was so welcoming helped my wife and i pick out our fabulous frames. Roslyn Eye Centre has a great variety of name brands which we loved because we were very indecisive on what would look best but their beautiful styles made it easy to pick something just right.
