I got my glasses at See World Optics and Drew found me the perfect frame that I loved so much. In a mosh pit at a concert, my glasses fell out of my pocket, and the frame got bent all out of shape. I was so disappointed but I went back to See World, excepting maybe a new frame similar but not quite the exact same. Lo and behold, Drew was able to fix my original frame, reinstall the popped out lenses, and make it look good as new. See World is where you should go to find new glasses, because it comes with the security that even if a frame looks broken beyond repair, Drew might be able to resurrect it. I first came to Drew seeking help repairing a pair of glasses that snapped in half. These are very unique glasses that I love too much to just hand them off to anybody to attempt a repair. But from the first couple of minutes I spent in his shop, I could tell he was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about optometry, a lot more than anybody I went to in the past. He knew exactly how the glasses broke even when I didn't, and gave me advice on how to prevent that from happening in the future. I was so amazed by his knowledge that when I ended up needing help with another pair of glasses, I also left another frame with him to put my prescription in. He did an AMAZING job, these were the clearest I've ever seen from my glasses. And did it a lot faster than any other place I went to in the past Drew is definitely one of those people that when you meet him, you will only want to return to him. I had a pleasant experience at See World Optics. The store manager and associate were very polite. I called ahead to make an appointment to get the DMV vision test. I scheduled an appointment over the phone in 1-2-3 and visited the following week for my appointment. Upon entering I was greeted and taken care of right away. The store has a nice set up, as a landmark it is in the same set of stores as Subway. There is parking in the rear. If you're shopping for glasses I am sure you will find a frame perfect for you. My titanium rimless glasses snapped right in front of the hinge but I was able to get it repaired professionally by Drew! He recognized that both arms were already damaged and helped me replace them with a similar titanium frame for a great price. The store even has a convenient parking lot in the back. I had the pleasure of meeting Drew, the owner of See World Optics shortly before closing time on a Saturday. I brought to him my eyeglasses with two replacement tension side arms that I had been unsuccessful to attaching even one after 3 hours of trying. In spite of having several orders to get out, he put them aside to help me. He went to work on them, telling me that I didn't possess the proper fine tools for doing the job on my own, while also noting that I had bent the pin of the replacement side arm that I had spent so much time in frustration trying to attach. Nevertheless, he attached both frames in about 15 minutes. Drew came from his work area and handed me my eyeglasses with the two new attached replacement arms and the left side pin straightened out. I was going to place them back into my case, but Drew said try them out, if they needed any adjustments. I did and they fit perfectly. I was so happy. Drew, noting that the eyeglasses were well worn suggested that I use these as a spare and start with a new pair. He then said that if I wanted the same type of eyeglasses, he was able to read the lens prescription off of my repaired glasses and then to my amazement, - just like that he produced a duplicate eyeglass frame to mine from his counter that he could make the lenses for, when I was ready. Drew was experienced, skilled, courteous and I was able to have a very enjoyable conversation with him while he was attending to my eyeglasses P.S. Read the real positive reviews like mine, and not the planted 1 star ones that I suspect were from his competitors. I detected as such and bypassed those in my own search for a quality shop. I have been a customer of Drew's for at least 20 years. I have been wearing glasses since age 5. I spent years wearing glasses that were thick (binocular width), heavy and improper for my prescription and face. Then I was referred to Drew. He has continually crafted glasses for me that have been comfortable, attractive and precisely vision corrective. The proprietor is a jerk, on top of doing bad work. I dropped off my glasses to get new prescription lenses put in, the lenses themselves (that he made) were really screwed up, not even usable, and after calling to politely ask about it, he immediately started yelling over the phone. Was further irritated when I went back to ask him to correct his job. In the end I just threw out the lenses. Needs a major lesson in customer service. Won't be going here again as there are tons of optometrists on LI that do good work and have good customer service. read more

I called ahead for an appt yesterday, Drew the proprietor was very helpful and accommodating to my schedule for this afternoon. He explained the fees for the exam as well as a a bit about his experience in the business. Drew explained he crafts the lenses himself on site, which is unusual these days. Met Drew and was introduced to Dr. Sigman, he runs his practice separate from the store. He was quite detailed in making sure he asked all the questions to know about my vision and changes since my last check up. Shared with him about the issues I'm having. Ran all the usual tests. Told me which solutions to use with the new contacts I'm getting, never knew some are compatible while others are not. After I completed my exam, Drew and I chatted for a few. I was searching for an eye glass store or an eye doctor that accepts Davis Vision and I came across this place because it was walking distance from my place. This place has been around for 30 years and when I called, Drew, the owner was pleasant and very knowledgeable. Dr. Sigman is only in this location on Wednesdays so Drew scheduled me to come in on a Wednesday. When I arrived I brought my four pairs of glasses, had an eye exam and had contact lenses examination and fitting. Both Drew and Dr. Sigman worked with me in getting the best deal possible with my insurance. My glasses were a mess, so I got anti-glare lenses replaced on one pair. I had to come back the following week to pick my contact lenses and glasses. When I picked them up, my glasses were cleaned and it felt new. As a result, I dropped off my second of pair of glasses with transitional lenses to get cleaned. My husband came in and Drew saw that he had a missing nose piece so at no cost he repaired it. Plus, Drew will call to inform the customer that their glasses/lenses are ready for pick up. The arm of my daughter's glasses came off because of a broken hinge. When Drew first took a look at the problem, he said no problem to fix it. But on closer inspection when he sat down to fix it, he discovered it would be a more involved process. Drew has done my glasses since the late 80s. I always follow his suggestions for frames, as well as for type of lenses and 'extras' such as scratch coating, and color for sunglasses. I have always been happy! I hadn't been to the store for a few years, as my prescription hadn't changed at all.....but I returned today. I needed new regular glasses, sunglasses, and also needed the lenses changed in my old glasses for a 'backup' pair'. Firstly, it was great to see him. Drew has done it again. I now live in Portland Oregon. After groggily leaving home in the wee-hours of morning, I headed up to Bremerton, Washington (a 3.5 hr drive) for the sake of a Roller Derby tournament. It was with utter horror that I realized upon arriving at my first game of the day that I'd left my contact lenses at home. I knew I wouldn't be able to make it through the day wearing my stylish chunky plastic glasses (from See World naturally) and that I'd be a danger to all on the track if I skated blind. I don't really write many reviews, but I feel like I would be doing everyone a great disservice if I didn't write one for Drew and Seeworld. I had the good fortune of finding Seeworld by accident through an online search, and I am SO glad I did. I was tired of going to the big stores like Pearle Vision and getting ripped off and treated like cattle. There aren't enough good things I can say about Drew and his business. Drew isn't looking to make a quick buck off of every person that comes in. He is the type of professional that focuses more on making a customer for life, treating us more like family and friends rather than customers. When I lost my glasses recently, I went to Seeworld (called Drew and he told me to come right in!) and he made sure that I purchased quality glasses at a very good price. No upselling, nothing. He was more concerned with making sure I was happy with the fit and look of my glasses, and jumped through hoops to make sure I got them as fast as possible......he made me one backup pair on the spot so that I would at least have something and not drive around like Mr. Magoo, and my main pair was ready in less than 24 hours! He is friendly, patient, professional, and VERY honest, which is a rarity nowadays.
