They are the only chocolate make in the greater Detroit area, most others are chocolatiers who fashion their good from premade chocolates that are laden with sugar. Tons of dried beans are imported to Michigan, which is then roasted, shells removed, grind, mixed and tempered to shape as a bar, bonbon and other holiday shapes. Each bar individual bar is priced a bit higher than the commercial chocolate late because DWAAR chocolate has a higher percentage of cocoa and much darker in color. The chocolate maker / owner of DWAAR chocolate is very passionate about her product. Be assured the she creates the highest quality of dark chocolate you can find only Michigan. The owner received an award and was featured in magazines, online and tv. I wish in the near future she will be able to mass produce and supply chocolate discs that can be melted and used as coating in fruits, chips, apples and pretzels. Must try the so-called sipping chocolate which is 100% dark.

We tried interacting with them, asked how their day was, nothing, they interacted with my friend shortly to tell us about the cannoli bars but that was about all we got. They stared at me the entire time watched every single movement i made while we were in there like I was a ghost or like i was doing something wrong, mind you this was my first time ever coming in, I get I look a little different than the average person (piercings, colored hair, etc) but that doesnt mean i dont deserve to be treated the same as every other person that walks in that door. We looked around for a little bit, it looked like they had some cool treats but I now will most likely never try them because I was so discomforted by the treatment from the people working there. These kids need retrained on proper customer service, never in my life of working customer service/retail even when i was 14 years old would I have ever thought it okay to act like that with a new customer or any customer.
