The two women working were beyond lovely and helpful. I had my two-year-old daughter with me and she was being a typical crazy toddler. I don't get out often to shop so I was just praying she'd behave herself in the nice boutique. The women were so, so lovely to my daughter and made our experience so enjoyable. I haven't written a review in quite a while but felt compelled to hop on and write one about Lulu's because not only was the boutique so incredible cute and well stocked with my favorite brands, but I was also truly touched by how welcoming they were to me and my daughter.

My wife found a skirt and a bra she liked, and we spent over $150 on our purchase. We paid, received our items, and left the store thinking nothing of it. Moments later, we were stopped outside by Bend Police because someone from the store apparently believed we were shoplifting. Let that sink in. A family that had just spent over $150 was publicly treated like criminals.. a simple receipt check inside the store would've sufficed .. I would've even shown them everything we were holding if they had simply asked ... but no .. they called Bend Police The worst part wasn't the inconvenience--it was the humiliation. Having my wife and child standing there while police questioned us over something that was completely false was embarrassing, degrading, and entirely avoidable. No parent should have to explain to their child why the police are stopping them after doing absolutely nothing wrong. My son loves the police and for him to think his parents are criminals is ridiculous. What concerns me most is the complete lack of judgment that led to this. Calling or involving police should be reserved for situations where there is actual evidence of theft, not assumptions, guesses, or poor communication between employees. Businesses make mistakes, but when your mistake results in innocent customers being publicly embarrassed and treated like criminals in front of their family, that's not a small oversight. That's a serious failure in customer service and basic professionalism. We came to enjoy a day with our family and support a local businesses Instead, we left feeling embarrassed, angry, and disrespected. I came to Bend to escape this Bs that happens in Los Angelses and I've lived long enough to know that our community deserves better than this. There are plenty of businesses that know how to treat paying customers with dignity and respect. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. I won't be returning, and I would strongly encourage management to take a hard look at their policies before another innocent customer has to go through what my family experienced today. I gladly paid for your overpriced Dtla run of mill bs bc it made my wife happy ... but truly ruined my day.
