I didn't come here with high expectations but I did find a few things to buy. I tried on a few tops, one was big, one was small, but one was just perfect. I couldn't pass it up because it was only twelve dollars. At that price point I don't expect it to last forever but I am happy with it. I love checking out the home decor/kitchen departments in these stores. Today I found a Farberware can opener (manual) for about five dollars, maybe six. It was one of my favorite colors too, purple. Sometimes it's the little things that make me happy. The girl manning the dressing rooms was very nice to me. I do want to mention the dressing rooms are dated and need to be cleaned, deep cleaned. Thank goodness I always have hand sanitizer on me. Finding the cashier was a little irritating. To get in line you walk around an isle & a few displays, it was weird. It reminded me of waiting on line at Disney. Very maze-like & I was getting dizzy. The cashier was an absolute joy. She was sweet & even let me keep the hanger for my new top. So, customer service wise, I was pleasantly surprised. The store needs a good cleaning and the racks of clothes weren't organized well. With that being said, I will still come back to this store because the two associates I spoke with were friendly, kind and helpful. Located on the SW corner of Glades and Lyons. read more

Ross is not what it used to be. I am truly disappointed with the level of customer service during my recent visits to the Tamarac and Margate locations. The service has been consistently poor, and the focus seems to be more on searching for potential criminal activity than assisting customers. It is unfortunate, especially for longtime shoppers who remember the quality service Ross once offered. This review is totally towards Margate and Tamarac locations. read more

Used to love Ross but lately it's gotten a bit "junky". The one in Boca is prob one of the better locations but last time I visited it was such a mess. Merchandise was thrown all over the place and there really wasn't a great selection. Used to be able to find some good name brand items but quality had really gone down. read more

I wanted to check out and buy a bag from the locked rack and needed an associate to unlock it for me. I spotted an employee walking towards the front of the store and asked her to come over and assist me. She said she was on her break. Than I waved to the security guard and asked him to get someone to help me. He was very nice and indicated someone was coming. To my surprise, that same person who I initially asked for help and said she was on a break, came to unlock the bag for me. That person, Sylvania (not sure of the correct spelling) was dishonest and lied to a customer out of pure laziness. read more

I often think furniture pieces are overpriced for their quality nonetheless many times cute and unique. The shoes were rather unorganized. While perusing size 8, I found plethora of sizes that weren't 8. Could use some organization, but other than that, I always love a good Ross! read more

I will say I've been here many times and found some great deals including a gold and pink floral dressy shirt that I always get complimented on. There is so much here and it is a great place to find beautiful clothes for affordable prices. However my last visit did not go well which is why I only gave them a 3. While I was trying things on, I heard a man's voice in the dressing rooms. Turns out he was fixing something. But I have to say it would have been nice if someone working there had thought to inform us ladies what was going on. Did eventually speak to a manager who was apologetic but I also noticed a basic lack of courtesy in some of the staff members. This was at least a year ago though so maybe it has improved since then. When I'm in Florida I always make a stop to Ross. It doesn't matter the location. The Stores are always full of neat clothes. And the clothes are super cheap. Your not going to find crazy designer brands but for seven bucks for running pants , who cares. I always find great deals there. The only reason for the deduction of a star is that the lines are always awful there. It's worth waiting in line since the prices are so low and the staff is friendly. If your looking for great bargains this is a must stop for sure. read more

I can't really tell the difference between Ross and Marshall's...they are one step up from thrift stores, one step down from TJ Maxx ... the home decor aisles have mostly broken or toss aside items from 1980. I think this store is not really a place to go if you don't need deep discounts on unnecessary clothing. read more

This Ross wasn't too bad. Compared to some other Ross's where all the small clothes are gone and the small people like me don't have anything to wear, I was more impressed that they had clothes that actually fit me! And all the bras are not all like 36C's or 38D's or something. Small peole like me can actually find a decent set of clothes here. This Ross was also more well kept than others that looked like people didn't care and poeple were yelling and messy. read more

I just had the worst experience in my life while shopping. My 63 years old mother has a descount on tuesdays, so I accompanied her - because she doesnt speak english well. The MANAGER was working at the register, and I told him we would pay at the end - he wanted me to insert the chip card before ringing in all the itens. He got mad and did NOT apply my mother's discount, telling us at the end: "now you can return everything and get your discount". Outrageous!!! However, a young man at the return section was really amazing and helped us to get our discount. That was the only nice thing. I work in the hospitality business for many years, and I have never seen someone as rude and disrespectful as this manager. read more

This place is always such a mess. No matter what time of the day, clothes are on the floor, sizes mixed up, bras are never in the correct size section. I have spoken to the store managers, gone back the next day and nothing changed. The section where the books snd journals are located is always topsy turvey with books on the floor. I asked the sales clerk about it and was told that "people come in at night to straighten it up ." Huh ? Your regional managers need to be doing spot visits and some teaching regarding store upkeep. So surprised! This is the most organized Ross store I have ever walked in to! They have a ton of Home items! Comforters furniture kitchen supplies . This is usually what I shop for . Their children/infant Section has a great variety of clothes toys shoes and books for a crazy low price! I never pay full price for Carter's when they are always at Ross for 75% less the staff was very friendly (rare for Ross stores) overall good trip found some awesome deals!! read more

Um, one word to describe this place: gross. From the employees to the service to the clothes, it's all disgusting. Without a doubt, this "store" has some of the worst customer service ever. An employee named Candace in particular is the worst. She has the most nasty attitude I've ever encountered. She is so bitter and trashy. Just horrible. I'm traveling here from CA and decided to stop by to purchase tennis shoes. On average, I shop Ross Dress for Less about 6 times out of the month. This location was a huge disappointed. The disappointment didn't lie in the product, but the service. Never have I ever been rushed to checkout because an employee was times on the register, but this was especially disturbing because the elderly woman rushed me while she was servicing another paying customer and announced her annoyance with me. The customer in front of me clearly hadbt settled her money back in her purse and frankly I'm uncomfortable approaching any check-out counter if the tender isn't completed. I stated I would wait until the current customer had settled herself, but the level of unprofessionalism and lack of regard and boundaries for Ross paying customers left a bad taste in my mouth. Considering theft is pretty high at Ross, it ought not be much to ask that a little compassion and courtesy be given to each paying customer encountered. Please staff by integrity as well. The desperation to hire anyone that doesn't understand basic human decency must cease. I won't be returning to this location. read more

Service is terrible. My little sister loves surfing, she wants to be a surfer when she grows up. There was a paddle board standing there next to the carts and my sister was pointing at it for our mom to see, then a mad lady came by us screaming for us to leave the store because we were apparently "touching the paddle board". I went to this store yesterday and was very disappointed because I thought this store was organized. I notice this store had a lot of problems especially the empty pop can by store merchandises, and the bags of foods that are open between products. And some areas had very few merchandise to put in display. This was my worst Ross store experience. read more

This location has a great selection, however I witnessed a manager treating an employee with such disrespect today... she was clearly very upset by her actions, and I felt bad for her. I have worked in management for many years... you are always supposed to praise in public, and correct in private - never in front of customers.
