By now most Americans are familiar with Ross Dress for Less. I was stoked to find this one in Carlsbad, NM since my young daughters finally both enjoy picking out their own clothes. It's an affordable fashion & home decor store that carries big name brands with a no frills approach to their layout and displays. Ample free parking in a shared plaza lot. Nice Spanish-only speaking lady working the back dressing rooms. The sensors on the purses at the front of the store were going off the entire almost hour we were there. No restroom for customers. All in all, it's a decent Ross. read more

The workers are very rude here. I've been shoved/had crap ran into me every single time I come here. I usually have to bring my boyfriend so I feel comfortable in the store. There is only one cashier most of the time. Aside from the workers, I'm giving the store at least a star because it's okay. read more

horrible service didn't let me use fitting rooms line was all the way wrapped around corners literally they only had 2 employees on register they even had one working alone by herself for a moment and the line was literally like a 1 hour wait horrible customer service and it's messy. read more

Service in this store is poor. On many occasions the staff have been rude to me while I was shopping. They act as though it is an inconvenience that the shoppers are in the store. Today I was met with rude staff once again. The job of stocking the store seemed to be more important than the people shopping. There are so few places in town to shop, if service was better this would be a good place to find needed items. read more

This Ross is one of the best stores I have ever been to! Although the store is a little messy from time to time I know that the workers and managers are doing their complete best to keep the store in its greatest shape. This store also has so much stuff to find and is the only clothing store in Carlsbad NM that has so many options and at a great price. I have been to other Ross stores and they are really empty. The employees treat every customer with complete respect and are very kind. I would shop here everyday if I had the chance. read more

This is the ugliest, messiest, trashed Ross I have ever been in. When I mentioned this to the store manager he said they are understaffed. No one wants to work in Carlsbad. The shelves are always a terrible mess, total disarray trash all over the place, packages torn open, shoe shelves with every size in every category. Every time I come into the store, I actually straighten the shelves I am looking at so I can see what is there ! I was in the store looking for some towels, a few days ago. The towels were in such a mess you couldn't see anything. So I folded some and put them on the shelves, in order to be able to see anything. The sheets are just tossed on the shelves, not neatly positioned so you can see what is there. Its disgraceful. The employees blame it on the customers just tossing things where ever. And I can see this is probably true to a certain point. But this whole store, is just unacceptable and down right shameful and disgraceful. Just not a fun place to shop. Actually its quite stressful because all I see is the mess. There are some good things to buy here, like a really big planter pot, but it was so big I could not move it by myself and no one would help me. And, forgive me but this is the USA. No one speaks English or claimed not to speak English so they would not help me. I guess I have to go back to Nordstrom and pay the big bucks to get someone to speak to me in English and help me move a pot that is too heavy to lift. Sigh... read more

This place is a disaster. Most of the merchandise is on the floor. If you are in a wheel chair good luck getting around the piles of stuff everywhere. Long checkout lines. read more

By far THE WORST Ross I have ever been in. It's almost like they don't want you to stay. The biggest problem is that the aisles are tiny--barely enough room for one small sized person. I can't imagine a person in a wheelchair could get through there at all--this is a very thoughtless, careless set up. I've always enjoyed shopping at Ross stores and am wondering what the deal with this one is. Not that management cares how customers feel these days (or even reads these).........this customer won't be returning to that mess. read more

I have been in this store several times and never have more than one cashier and the line is always so long. They have a decent selection of items and the prices are great but usually I end up putting everything back and walking out because the wait is not worth it read more

This store started out good but as the holiday season started I believe the store went through a change of store managers and ever since then it has been downhill. The store was awful and dirty. The shelves are always empty too. The new store manager must not care either because they are never there working. I will definitely not be shopping at this Ross store again. read more
