Surprisingly good experience at this Ross. I was there to look at housewares and actually saw A LOT of pieces that I'd have loved to have bought if I had the room and $$$ for them, lol. And I did end up purchasing a very pretty platter there for $4. Checkout was nice and my friend and I had a cute interaction with two clerks behind the counter. This Ross has plenty of parking. There is a security guard right by the entrance like most Ross stores I have been to. They have a decent amount of women and junior clothing, as well as active wear. Towards the back they have clothing on clearance. They have a small aisle for pets. The bathrooms are in the back, but they are locked so you need to ask an employee to unlock it. If you're a mom or care about kids DO NOT go here. The woman refused to give me the code to the bathroom and told me she wouldn't open the door because she didn't like how I asked for it. (I was trying to get in before my 2 year old had an accident). I told her my daughter needed to go urgently. She refused and my daughter had to pee herself. Then the b*+ch opened the door! I haven't been around this way in a good while. This Ross is pretty nice in size, but sparse in items, but nonetheless they are good items. I will say that I am not sure that I would buy clothing from the store as it is quite malodorous, it reminded me of the smell of mold. I left with the beginnings of a headache. I'd be concern that my clothes will smell of that and that is not thee business. The staff that I came in contact were nice, greeted me upon entry and were kind during checkout, which went at a decent amount of time. I'm a fan of Ross but it's definitely a place you need to pack some patience. Was at this location for the first time last weekend. It was a Saturday so it was busy. Lines were long and moving slow. I had plenty of time to kill and didn't mind. If you're in a hurry, you may want to rethink coming here. This store isn't very organized or clean (items on the floor), but you can find deals if you got time to do so. I walked out with some decent items. Got four outfits and a pair of shoes - about $80. Usually a fan of Ross, but a sales associate in Catonsville, MD named Brandon is one of the rudest we have ever had to deal with. He called us to the counter and we informed him that we had some items to return and some items to buy. When he saw the items we were returning and that it wasn't just in one receipt, he started rolling his eyes and asked us rudely " Did you sort these items out to match the receipts? " I told him, No cause we have never been asked to. He then continued muttering loudly" Oh my God, I can't believe this." then proceeded to bang the scanner against the counter. He was so upset that he had to scan multiple items and sort things out. He started scanning and processing our returns. We had 7 items to return so at the end, I just asked him to check if he, indeed processed 7 cause it appeared to be just 6, he then says " Look Miss, I don't know your receipts.." then he called the next customer when we still had items in our cart that we wanted to buy. I,then, had to get a manager involved who was nice and helpful. People like Brandon should never be in any customer service position because he obviously hates working where he has to be nice. read more

Extremely rude staff! I asked an associate for help to carry a coffee table to the front to purchase. She calls out to another store associate to help me and then I hear someone say no we cannot help. As again I politely ask for help as the table was heavy and having back issues I was not able to carry it from the back of the store to the front. The lady said she was the store manager and I had to help myself. They dont help customers that's not their job!!! That totally threw me off. Not sure why is she even working at a retail store if she can't help customers!!! She def needs to be reevaluated and removed from her position! read more

I've been visiting this ross for a while and will say it has changed in the last few years. This is a clean store and while it gets cleaned out of product quickly you can really find some good deals here. I like the housewares, and clothes. I browse a lot and usually leave with a few things all under $20! The staff is nice and the return policy has never been a problem. read more

I am usually a fan of ROSS, but today 8/30/2020 Sunday after 4:00 pm at ROSS Catonsville, MD had a horrible nightmarish experience when trying to return clothing. Did not realize the first time when buying the T-shirt the clothing did not carry the ROSS tag, there was clearly the smudge of the same color writing on the T-shirt when bought. So while returning, the employee claimed to be the manager immediately dismissed that the T-shirt was worn and washed!!!!!!!!!!! Highly embarrassing and disappointing of wrongly accusing customers. To the upper management of ROSS, my request is re-educate/train employees and managers not to be judgmental and dismiss customers wrongly. To ROSS customers please double check if the stuff you purchase has tag on it, and if clothing has no smudges or smears on it. Buying discounted clothing with saying " Ross Dress for Less" does not automatically mean some already worn looking clothing can be sold to us!!!!!!! and refusing returns. read more

How is this store still open? It looks like a store that's about to close out. Imagine a big open space with racks of crap everywhere! I feel like I'm shopping in a dirty back alley. The couple of times I went to this store, I was sure it was going out of business. That's how empty it was. It really is the saddest discount store I have been in, in a long time. Last night, I decided to make a purchase and stood in a line, where there were only two or three people in front of me, with two cashiers. I guess they were alternating purchases and returns, but it was hard to tell. They had this odd system where they would take the next person with out completely finishing with the person they were helping. They even had two associates (looked like one of them was training another) come to the next person in line, take their items and bring them to a cashier when they weren't done. This made things odd for both me and the other patron, since they are trying to complete a transaction without my nosy self in their business, while I was standing there all awkward, trying not to be nosy. Don't know if they thought this was an efficient way to get the line moving, but I stood in line for a ridiculous amount to time to only get about 15% interaction with the employee. It'd been smarter to lose the person who takes you to the cashier, open another cash register, and have us wait our turn. The only reason they got three stars was because I found what I was looking for, dirt cheap! That always counts for something in my book. read more

This place used to be a disaster with very little quality merchandise. Recently, I have noticed that they have cleaned up a bit and have some really nice home/decor products. It still has a weird smell, though. Like a mix of rubber and cheap plastic. They might want to consider investing in some type of spray or air fresheners. read more

ross is always a go to place for the latest fashions, and for low prices, but one experience has me upset, we were ready to pay & literally the cashier was slow, on a scaled of one to ten, ten being the slowest, i'll give her slowness & good 6.5, then this young lady came & she was a new cashier and my cashier started training her making the process of paying for my items even worse & slower! now we're at a 8 on the scale maybe even a 8.5, eventually we paid and left. sometimes the fitting room lady has a bad attitude i mean if you're having a bad day, there's literally no need for putting your negativity onto another! it can be kinda messy and shelf's barely have anything on them but the racks are filled with lovely clothing items. read more
