I love Anthropologie clothes! Most of my friends think they are pricey, I respond quality over quantity. I have dresses I purchased from Anthro years ago. Still stylish and cute. Clothes are well made. You can find classic and trendy. The home goods, candles are favorites to give as gifts. I've given many Anthro candles as housewarming gifts. This location is a favorite. Easy mall parking. Customer service is friendly and helpful. 5 stars in my mind. read more

So today my experience wasn't that bad. I had an associate by the name of Allie that started my dressing room. I really appreciated her willingness to help. The only thing I did not love was that when I thanked her for taking my stuff to the dressing room she replied with " YUP". Listen that is a big pet peeve of mine! Please say You're Welcome.... Rather than this mishaps I had an ok time here. The associate in the fitting room was also really nice. PSA: Please BE NICE here. This stuff is EXPENSIVE and I spent over $200 here. You should be walking me to the car carrying my bags! I am joking but you get the picture. read more

The customer service is horrible. To have no customers inside the store and still not greet the 1 customer that you do have is ridiculous. 2 sales associates walked by, 1 just observed and said nothing. Admittedly, I do not shop at this store very often, so they would have no reason to want to keep me as a customer... here's the story: I bought a jacket in late January and only pulled it to wear in late April after I moved across the country. The jacket is now full of "pills" - you know, those unsightly fabric balls that make clothes look worn and old. I should mention again I've never worn the jacket, it was packed in a clothes box. I bought it on sale for $100 (originally $168) but after the move I have no idea where the receipt might be. Tags are still attached. After looking at their return policy online I went to this store to return the item. I was informed the item is now worth $15 and I would only get store credit, which had to be used on the day of the return only. Interesting that they value their own item at $15. If an item drops 85% of it's worth in less than 3 months, I guess I've overpaid for everything I've ever bought there! I didn't realize their clothes are worth so little. In this day and age, there are plenty of retailers where I can spend my money and be able to return a defective item that has never been worn. I should say, however, that the lovely young woman who helped me at the store was very nice and friendly. She apologized for being the bearer of bad news but said she had to follow store policy. This policy she quoted me was different from what I saw online but I appreciated that she was not rude. From now in I'll just stick with Nordstrom. read more

The times I've been here, it's been a pretty good Anthropologie location! Mostly before the pandemic, but it is always fun to go back and check out the new displays. Their houseware section was pretty good, and the staff was able to help me find what I was looking for from the website. I think the clothing styles and sales are a little more variable, but that's not specific to this location. read more

Nice store. Love all their products! I realize it's covid, however customer service shouldn't be altered. Three clerks all stood behind counter the entire time. We can still greet customers and provide friendly atmosphere while maintaining social distancing. read more

I swear I go to this store at least once every 2 weeks so it's abooout time I wrote a review. This Anthro is pretty spacious - always nicely-decorated, organized, and clean. It's very open, with high ceilings and clothing/other items organized either by type - i.e. bedding, kitchen/cookware, or by color (think whites/light colors v. blues/dark colors v. multi-colored clothing pieces)! Everything is always so nicely displayed and folded neatly, which makes browsing fun and easy. There is a sale section near the back of the store, which can get a little more cluttered but is never a problem. I feel like I always end up purchasing some cute knick knack in the sale section every time I go....even if I wasn't planning on buying anything, AND usually it's something I don't really need! Oh well, retail therapy gets to the best of us. Plus the service here is always delightful! I've come here numerous times looking for a particular piece, and the associates are always happy to help if I can't find it on my own. Rest assured that someone will greet you when you walk through the door, which brightens up my day...it goes a long way in terms of customer service! The associates will also happily assist with any returns/price adjustments you may have, whether in-store or online. There's always someone ready to help you in the fitting room as well, and I love the personalized attention you can get - the associates are attentive and will make sure to ask if you're doing okay, if you need another size, etc etc. I'm obsessed with Anthro's pieces, and this Columbia location, with its wonderful customer service and selection, has me coming back week after week! :) read more

SUMMARY: The usual Anthropologie with a way friendlier staff (at least the day I went)! FULL STORY: I had driven to Columbia in search of this amazing black Byron Lars dress for an event. The store was pretty and eclectic... the usual Anthropologie look... Call it cheesy, but I loveee looking at all the festive seasonal displays. The difference at this location was how cool and helpful the staff were. They only had 1 dress left and it took some searching to find it in the store... (based on my less-than-perfect description)... but they were really nice and helped me get sorted out, even though it was getting near closing time. I think that anymore, it is so easy to just shop online or even find good housewares and clothes at inexpensive places... but the experience of shopping and how thoughtful and kind staff is can really make or breaks the whole process. I'll definitely do some shopping here next time I'm in the area! Note: Check out the sale room for some amazing candle scents to brighten things up! read more

Anthropologie has adorable room and décor, but I recently had a really bad experience at the store at the Columbia mall. My little sister was looking at the candles and picked up one that had been sitting in the sun. The wax had melted on top and sprayed out all over her shirt when she opened it. We went over to a really nice employee who had greeted us when we came in, and she was super apologetic and went to talk to her manager about it to see if they could give us some kind of discount or pay for her shirt to be cleaned. She came back up and said that the manager said sorry but there is nothing they could do about it. We went to check out and the manager, Veronica, was the cashier for us. We showed her the shirt and explained again what had happened - how there was no way my sister could have known the candle would explode all over her shirt (mind you - we are not confrontational people and were very calm during the interaction. We barely even wanted to say anything but felt like this was worth mentioning!) The manager's behavior was some of the rudest and least genuine I have ever experienced from a store employee! She again just said "sorry, but it should come off when the wax dries if you just scratch it off." I followed up and asked if there's anything they could do or any kind of discount they could give my sister. She gave only 10% off and was really begrudging. Her apology did not seem genuine in the least. We were pretty upset leaving - mostly because of how she handled it and the way she didn't care or take responsibility for the situation. At the end of the day the shirt was ruined - the candle wax was very oily and left a huge mark on the shirt. It stinks that the shirt is ruined, but overall the most upsetting part of the situation was how the manager handled it. :( read more
