A solid location. Dressing rooms are clean. Aisles are free of clutter. Items are well stocked and organized. I usually find most of what is on my list, not to mention a couple items that are not. Prices on some items are better than others. Employees around the the store are fairly friendly. I once had one notice that I was looking at a particular item. We had a limited amount of time and wanted to see if we could find a few things for my youngest in the form of more winter clothes. Not only did we leave with a ton of things, we spent under $60, and although the line was really long we were in and out of the line in under five minutes. Service was awesome. I have never left a review before. I just got so annoyed because it seems like this every single time I come here. Such horrible service. They are literally so rude here. The workers never smile and seem so miserable. I was looking at the baby clothes and I had a worker right in front of me ask another worker what time is it? This was at 9.55. So rude. Also, they announce they close every 5 seconds and say if you are not in the service line by 10 that they will not assist you. Also rude as heck. I've gone to other Ross stores and the workers are never this rude. The store is always messy and there are screaming children running around like it's a playground. You will not have a good shopping experience here. I also had a previous experience with my husband with the loss prevention girl that literally does nothing. She came at my husband 15 minutes before they close and told him he needs to go stand in line to pay because they're closing. My husband asked her what time they close and she said now. It was a lie. So my toddler took his shoe off and we were putting it on and she was standing there walking us the whole time. We asked her we understand and we're going. She just stood there watching us. Prepare yourself for a rollercoaster of an experience when shopping at this Ross. First the good; this ross has an exceptional inventory of affordable items ranging from jewelry, clothes, electronics and kitchenware children toys and select furniture. Also, everything is extremely affordable so you will not be breaking the bank shopping at this location. The bad; you will experience the longest line of your life and I am not exaggerating. I was able to write this review and also do my taxes while waiting in this line to purchase a belt for work. They have 4 cashiers working with nearly 60 people waiting in line reach to the back of the store. It was actually pretty infuriating. There are more people waiting in line than people shopping. Usually when I want to dress for less I come to this location. They are the closes to me. The location is decently organised, the staff are friendly and helpful. They sell everything here, from shoes, clothes, jackets, socks, underwear and random junk as well like picture frames and pot and pans. Sometimes if you are lucky you might find some treasures. Overall a good Ross location, most of the time the lines are long and dragging. It's good to come early in the day. read more

Standard location with all the usual fare. This one is cleaner and more organized than some of the other locations I've been to in various cities. These stores are really hit or miss for me. I either find ten things I want to take home, or nothing I want. This go-around I didn't find anything to take home, but I'm sure if I visit again in the near future it will be another story. I did like their new Valentine's Day items, and they are usually good about seasonal items as a whole if you are looking to decorate your office or home with some cute things. I was shopping last night in the mens dept -- "heather" snapped at me when I attempted to help her by picking up clothing that was left on the floor. She advised me how She doesn't "go telling me shit on how to do my job" and seemed upset I was shopping in her department. I went and advised a cashier and management and they confirmed she was a " problem child" . They did give me 10% discount on my total bill but informed them I was not looking for a discount but rather an enjoyable experience when spending my money in their store. I don't know if anything was done with the "problem child" but I woke up this morning still upset about the situation and hope no one else has to encounter such an event. read more

Horror customer service. Can't even take a cart to your car with after buying two cart loads of items. If you are spending large amount of money, you would think they could at least act like a person with not just steal a cart when trying to get those items to the car. No they rather customers leave the items they paid for on the side walk and pull into the marked fire zone to load up their bagged item. When I asked for paper to wrap my ceramic vase in...rather than just randomly placing it into the plastic Ross bag, she made a "disgusted" face at me, like I was asking her for one of her kidneys or something. -The security guard dude with the amish goatee beard was on a total power trip - he was scolding people for forming one line (like at most other Ross Stores)...he kept REPEATING (like everyone was hearing impaired) to just get BEHIND anyone in any register line...(maybe he used to work for the TSA???) -The shelves were 1/2 empty...like it needed to be restocked. -Maybe the ONLY thing that was good (two-stars) was that there were four cashiers....but, it was soooo busy, they could had easily used more cashiers. I've visited this ross often. It is often messy and things are all over. But I've noticed that it started to get a bit more organized. Sadly, it seems like the cashier's dread their jobs. You can sometimes tell when someone calls their name on the intercom to come up. It is sometimes sad when you have to ask them to use paper to wrap valuable glass items. When people are waiting in line they are speaking Spanish to the other cashiers. Sometimes the bathrooms are distinguishing, floors are sticky and some of the clothes have stains on them. read more

The Hispanic girls at the customer/return counter are lazy & find every little excuse to return to the original Ross where you bought it. Terrible customer service at this Ross on Northern Ave, Glendale & those 2 specific ladies should learn how to treat a paying customer & help more to accept a return instead of finding excuses not to do your job! You made my family, 10 month old & 6 year old, my woman & I drive all the way to Goodyear Ross to return our stuff when you could of made it easier & done it at your store!. Thought this was a new location because it was the cleanest Ross I have been in and was well stocked. When I asked the cashier how long this location has been open she said about 10 years. I like finding household items and shoes at Ross. The clothing is usually not very good in my opinion though this time I did find a cute tank top and some pajama pants. Ross is Ross. LOL. It has household items, clothes, shoes, small decor items, and small electronic accessories (which I happened to have needed this particular experience). I checked the price that they had in the store against what I could get it on Amazon for and they were priced right. I got what I needed and was out. The store isn't typically super clean, but it's got everything in it's place for the most part and if you go on a weekend be prepared to wait in a line to get checked out. This location, though kind of far from my home, is a good one. Each time I've come here, the store has been clean (anyone who's been inside of a Ross store knows how bad it can get). Items seem to be organized and the floors are spotless. Now, there was still some disorganized items in the Home & Children's Departments, but that's to be expected. Their dressing rooms were clean as well.. I've been in some that were scary and I was scared to take off my shoes even just for a second to get my jeans off (see 75th Ave. location). Anyways, I've come away spending anywhere from $10 - 50 here. Its well worth it and I'd stop in again when I'm in the area. read more

Ordinarily I like Ross. Cute clothes at reasonable prices, good sales and I especially like the home décor and coffee. I've been shopping there since my children were little and over the years have spent thousands on my family, myself and Christmas/birthday gifts. That said, I will NEVER shop there again. Just last week I bought a cute top. I wore it the next day to a party and received many compliments, so I tossed the bag out with the receipt and tags in it. Two days ago I washed the top (the tag read the standard machine washable and dry lightly). It came out looking horrid, very short on one side and long on the other. I put it in the dryer, hoping it would come out all right, but it just looked worse. I called the store, explained the situation and asked if I could bring it back and the girl on the phone was extremely rude, first telling me "certainly not without the receipt and tags" and then saying "you WASHED it?" I asked to speak to a manager and was on hold for 5 minutes and when the manager came to the phone she was just as horrible, and seemed astonished that I washed it! What the heck? Clothing should last through MANY washings and they both seemed shocked that I wanted to return it after it was ruined in ONE WASH. Has Ross never heard of customer service? This location certainly doesn't care about their customers' satisfaction. read more

You might as well get used to the fact that Ross stores are the lower-end equivalent of TJ Maxx. Disorganized, and if you see something you really like you might as well buy it because there's a good chance it won't be there next time. Wide variety of stuff that for whatever reason didn't sell at their department stores. So, buyer beware. I've had good and bad luck with things here. Toys, great so long as you buy well-known brands. I can often find Melissa and Doug toys or much less than the typical retail price. If a toy looks like cheap plastic garbage, it probably is. Bedding, pretty good. Cheaper than Kohls if you can find something you like. Housewares- hit or miss. We've bought a few things cheaper than at other stores (French coffee press, spatulas, etc) but durability can be an issue, as can finding what you actually want. Undergarments- surprisingly good. Inexpensive and some sizes that are harder to find at mainstream retail stores. Other clothes, hit or miss. Their shirts tend to wear out really fast and fall apart too soon. Shoes don't seem to be that much cheaper than anything else. Purses are decent but they fall apart faster than they should. We've never had any real problems with this particular store, although there is ALWAYS a long line to check out, regardless of the day or time. read more

For some reason, I thought there was a T.J. Maxx in this same strip center. I was sure I'd find something at both, then compare, and then buy from one, the other, or both stores. So I combed the racks at Ross, and while I thought it was expensive for little kid clothes (shouldn't they be cheaper than adult clothes?), I found a nice pile of stuff and brought it up front to go on hold while I went to T.J. Maxx. The cashier ladies were very nice, but informed me they can only hold things for half an hour. I've never heard of that. I dislike pressure to buy, so I told them I might be back, and went looking for T.J. Maxx. As you already know, I was doomed to disappointment on that front. I saw a Carter's Babies & Kids store right down the row, though. I was so happy with what I found at Carter's, I didn't go back to Ross. Moral of the story: if you are shopping for babies and kids, go to Carter's first. You might hit a sale like I did, and they will be happy to sign you up for coupons and deals either way. read more
