I used to love coming to this Hobby Lobby location and decorating my home with items from here, but…read morerecently my experiences have been completely ruined by the attitude of some of the employees. Over the last 2 months, one Hispanic young employee with red hair has made every visit extremely unpleasant with rude behavior and a terrible attitude. Today, she was also constantly staring at us in a very judgmental way and making us feel extremely uncomfortable the entire time we were shopping. No customer should feel watched or judged just for being in the store. The older cashier with glasses at the register was also openly looking us up and down and came across as very judgmental and unwelcoming. Customers should not feel uncomfortable or judged while simply trying to shop. It's disappointing because this used to be one of my favorite stores, but the customer service lately has been awful. I really wish management would hire kinder, more professional employees instead of people with constant attitudes toward customers.

More workers started showing up once the line got super long, they had everyone "man," the registers. Again, I've been told that business' in this area isn't always the best due to the area being impoverished. I guess, that could be the case and I find that a little infuriating because I feel that it's very stereotypical. The lines are long and the service isn't always the greatest but it's retail and for me, that's expected (a wait, sometimes bad service). I have experienced better but maybe I was here on a bad day. The cashiers were nice and the people working the aisles were helpful.

The staff at the loading dock for very professional and nice as they helped me load everything. There's also a sign clearly posted outside the door, explaining what they do and don't accept (unlike the GW in my previous location). Inside, the store is way cleaner than I expected. Every single person me, my children, and other customers, and one man happily pointed out new children's books for a mom with her young children. I found a hard wood bookcase for just $20. That's a steal, and not one I would have found in the Phoenix metro. It's in excellent condition, and I was able to quickly buy it, run home, and quickly come back to load it into my car. My personal take is to give this place a chance. It's small, but if you know what you're looking for, you can find great deals. I absolutely plan to come back.
