Came in this morning to look around and buy shampoo. I'm still new to the area, and it's somehow bizarre when people say good morning and actually mean it (Arizona is filled with angry people in oven style heat). Not a big alcohol selection (something else that seems to be a common theme in this town) but the store is very clean, open, and well stocked. I went to their website and searched for gravy boats. There was three available and so I called this store in Harker Heights and asked if they can hold two of them for me. $6 per gravy boat was no joke. I was hosting a Thanksgiving dinner at my mom's house so we needed them for two long tables. It was also made of porcelain and the size was large enough. Bought it two weeks before Thanksgiving day and it was worth it. The worker who I spoke on the phone was very courteous and went out of his way to really reserve it for me at guest services. Easy as that. I wish I took his name. I was happy with my purchases. read more

I visit this Target location whenever I'm in the area. On my most recent visit to this location (during May), they had a live Hawaiian dance performance close to the check-out. At first, I thought it was a bit strange that they were performing inside of a Target, but I'm sure they worked it out with the managers. Plus, May is AAPI heritage month, so it was also nice to see them celebrate. Unlike some of the usual Target locations I go to in California, this Target appeared to be well-stocked with a variety of items. If I could leave zero stars I would. My mom bought us food gift cards for Christmas and I was planning on using one of them tonight. When I went to check the balance it said it wasn't activated. So, my mom and I went to this target store to see if there's anything that they can do and the girl and her supervisor both told us NO. I used to work at a grocery store and when we scanned the gift card it was activated but if there was something wrong we would replace the card, apparently the card in question was a defective card that was scanned, never was activated and Target didn't do squat about it. They could at least give us new cards but Nope. So now they lost customers I or my mom will never shop at Target ever again. read more

I don't recommend this Target location if you are black. The store used to have the Future Collective featured monthly in front of the store and I went in today to review the monthly creator and was told they no longer have it. During my visit I went on my phone online to review Tabitha Browns new line of products and was able to find her hair care line "Donna" and her food seasoning. The store does not stock her popcorn or line of sausages. I was disappointed the cultural connection is being limited or not offered in this store location being a huge diverse community as it is of Ft Cavazos aka Ft Hood...no reason was given as to why the Collective has been removed and Tabitha Browns products are limited to only hair and seasoning. I spent some time in the rear of the store in the food section looking for Tabitha's products when I noticed what appeared I was being observed by a store representative. When I looked up at her she looked annoyed but moved along. I later returned to the store this same evening with my husband to make another purchase of the Casaluna waffle bath towels. My husband and I spent 15-20 minutes in the isle looking at colors and discussing color schemes for our bathroom look in g at sizes of towels, bath mats etc. As we were looking out of the blue a representative appeared and went to the very towels we had just looked at and refolded. It was as if we had been watched prior as she went directly to the towels we were looking at. I then asked her are we on candid camera and she said no this is just my section. She didn't adjust anything else in that isle only what we had just looked at. It was obvious we were being watched. It left me feeling targeted and with a vibe blacks were being watched while in the store. I don't know what has happened or what's going on with the store but black dollars are very strong in Harker Heights and Killeen. There are other stores to open soon in the community and if Target has this happening it doesn't take much to spread the word of my experience and observations to boycott Target. read more

My son and I went in today to use some gift cards he had received for his birthday. We went to the service desk to verify the balances on the cards. Each card showed a $15 dollar balance. When we went to checkout one of the cards only showed $4 dollars. The cashier suggested we take the cards and items to the service desk because they were better equipped to deal with the gift card issues. Alexis who was at the service desk immediately went into some spiel because so many gift cards were stolen she wouldn't do anything to help us and kept going on about stolen gift cards and began implying my son and I had stolen them and somehow activated them. When I asked to speak to whoever her boss was she refused to allow me to speak to anyone. I called the store and spoke to Hannia who was very apathetic and more interested in getting me off the phone than dealing with this issue. She said their employees were trained to accuse the customer of theft when it came to gift cards. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

This was the worst Target experience I have ever had. The gentleman that was scanning my items, was distracted. He would scan an item and then fold it over the scanner and it would rescan. Then he kept talking on the microphone to other workers and he would stop and loose track of what he was doing. I had to tell him several times he rescanned or that he already scanned an item. After the third or fourth rescan, I asked him to stay focused and concentrate because he keeps rescanning. He then decided to go very very slow, and he just started at me with an awkward stare and said is this better? And I said, please stop smiling and staring at me, you're making me uncomfortable and being awkward. Then he went and told all the customers and other staff, that I called him ugly. Which I did not. He said, I brush my teeth and take showers, I'm sorry I'm ugly but I was born this way. I repeated that he was being awkward and that I never called him ugly. It was horrible customer service. Not only was he super slow, and kept rescanning items that I had to tell him about, but he smiled and stared and made me very uncomfortable. A nice lady, came to relieve him and gave him go to another register. But it took 15 minutes to scan 26 items. I would have been quicker doing it myself, but the self checkout was closed. This gentleman needs to not be with customer service. He doesn't know how to properly treat them. As soon as I voiced my frustration with his double scanning. He mocked me and went super slow and smiled awkwardly. I'm not sure I will be back, and if I ever see this guy again I will not go through his lane. And if he's the only one open, I'll find a manager to help me checkout. read more

This location is in need of repairs and upgrades in order to keep up with other locations. The family restroom doesn't have a proper lock on it , it can easily be forced open. Any time I have done curbside it's usually a better experience than going in store , the curbside staff is always friendly. I will say that they don't really do replacements for items unfortunately. And lastly, They are supposed to have the Baby registry gift bags but have been out of stock for months at this point. read more

Keeping the five for now. Have been here a number of times. It is always clean inside and out, always has plenty of carts, the add cashiers quickly if needed, items are stocked. I still can't think of things to complain about. I had a damaged package (beat up car seat box) and guest service helped quickly and easily to resolve the issue. I don't expect EVERYTHING to always be perfect but for service to happily and effectively help. This target has done that for me. read more

I visited Target in Harker Heights for the first time today since we moved to Texas 2-1/2 years ago. I was picking up an order that I placed made online. Then (of COURSE!!) I decided shop around a little. Much to my chagrin, there were no lanes open when I went to check out - - only the self-checkout registers were open. I had to go over to the customer service lane to be checked out. I think it's wrong that they don't have at least one cashier available, because I am not going to use the self-checkout when someone else is being paid to check me out. Other than that, the people were very nice, friendly, and über-helpful, and the store was clean, well-stocked, and organized. read more

Today I was in target in Harker Heights Texas, while in the store my sister was also currently shopping ( my sister is the mother of three, six year old TWINS and a 13 year old she is a retired combat vet) she did not have a shopping cart so I told her to toss her items in my cart. We were purchasing five "baby yoda" dolls. When we got to the register I noticed the head cashier was looking in our shopping cart. She didn't say anything to us she walked up front to a gentleman standing by the front door. They both walk towards us and tell us that we cannot purchase the five yoda dolls because they are "essential items" she proceeds to reach into my cart and pull out three of the dolls!!! I asked why these are considered essential? She said they are in high demand and that it states at the entrance they cannot be purchased!! I went to the front door and read all postings nowhere does it state that these items couldn't be purchased!! I asked to see the manager again and he sent someone else to speak with us!! The manager that came up stated that the store has the right to say how many of an item can be purchased!! I asked what about a doll is essential? No one could answer that question. While in the store I went on to the target app because I am a target red card holder and purchased TWO of the dolls!! The limit online is in fact TWO per transaction! Now mind you they removed three from my cart!!! We went back to the toy aisle where there were four more of the item. Ten minutes later I get an email stating that the item is OUT OF STOCK?!?!? Now how is that possible? I'm looking at the items and they just took three out of my cart!!! My question is why won't they allow ME to make the purchase? Why are customers treating this way? I have spent over $2000 in the last month in that store!!! I DO NOT SHOP at Walmart, EVER!!! However today I went right across the street to Walmart and purchased three with NO PROBLEM AT ALL!!! I would recommend it with a little of work. Im here in target as a male. We have no help in the man section. I tried on a few hats only to find there it is only one mirror in the whole section for men. Meanwhile, I overhear two employees dawg talking men by the dressing room. I like this store and the customer service is usually great. I'm bummed that they sold the pharmacy to CVS because now I can't use it. The prices can be a bit high, but it's definitely a place I like to go on Black Friday. Associates will try to help you find items no matter how busy it is. Only thing I would like to see is more registers open when its busy. Standing in line is painful for me, so it's an important factor in any shopping I do. read more

Just home from Target to purchase a card and a tape measure. Went to check out and there are literally 10 people in line for the self check out and 4 people in line for the ONE register that is open. As I was standing there, a manager came up and told me I could go in the Starbuck's to pay if I wanted. I did this and then she had to go get a bag for what I bought since they do not keep Target bags in there. Hire some people to run all those registers that are closed!! It should not take a 15 minute wait to pay for $12.00 of merchandise on a Thursday morning. read more

I absolutely adore Target. I'm from California and just recently moved to Fort Hood. I was homesick after 3 weeks. Until I walked into this Target which is modeled EXACTLY like the one back home. YES, most targets look exactly the same. However there are some older targets still around. This layout is exactly the same as one back home so I knew my way around and felt like I was down the street from my old house again. clean, organized, helpful staff. This store is busy and fully staffed BUT it seems their management is NOT very knowledgeable! My wife and I wasted 3+ hours shopping and in line just to find out they can't cash a Corperate Check due to a "Third Party" agency the checks must go threw. We ask about this twice over the phone AND when we arrived BEFORE we even began shopping. A member of their management team verified a Corperate check would be accepted with no issues. Then once they were done ringing up the items (4 shopping carts full) BOOM!!! Check declined! EMBARRASSING!!! Then another team member from management came up and said she saw us shopping after one cart full was taken up to the register but failed to inform us of this issue with a "Third Party".... Then told us of the issue but never even attempted to help the situation but told my wife to call the "Third Party" agency to attempt to resolve it KNOWING they wouldn't do anything. Why can't I review Target's Pharmacy separately? **Anyway** Five stars for Target Pharmacy ~~~ This is now the second month I've used the Target Pharmacy. Before this summer, I didn't even know there was a pharmacy in there. Attention!!! It's cheaper! (I was surprised, too! But the numbers don't lie!) It's not even close to as busy as our other local pharmacies!! They're friendly, prompt, helpful, knowledgeable and well-managed! Did I mention that it's cheaper?? If you're having to pay full price (no insurance), Target is your best bet. So many area residents are going to the WM, HEB and Walgreens pharmacies and it doesn't have to be such a miserable experience... TRY OUT TARGET PHARMACY!! A nice clean Target. Plenty of parking and doesn't seem overly crowded even though its the only one in the area. I made plenty of visits here when I first arrived in town. They have groceries too! No produce though. There's a Starbucks inside that actually seems decent. Most Starbucks in Targets are kind of last resort for me but this one seems fine. read more

I usually have nothing bad to say about Target but the last couple of visits to the store, I have had a problem with the employees not being very helpful when being asked a question. I don't expect them to know the answer to every question, but they could at least say, "I'm not sure, but let me find out for you." Today, I asked an employee a question and their reply was, "I don't know, I just came off break." I refuse to go to walmart unless I absolutely have to, so that's where target comes in. It has a starbucks and a cafe. The cafe is very affordable and has a great selection of finger foods. It's usually very organized and doesn't have nearly as many rude ppl or employees as walmart does. read more

Customer service here is great! Normally when you go to a target, the workers don't talk to you unless you approach them. At this target they are always asking (even if they are busy working on something) if they can help you find anything or if everything is okay. This target is very clean and friendly. read more

Target is where one finds all the amazing things. It's my Disney World. I've never encountered bad service or walked out empty handed at this location, but the lines can be brutal. I don't understand how they can have so few cashiers - especially during prime hours like lunch, after work + Saturday. read more

I walked through and due to the fine print being different for some of the same products it was very deceiving. The employee sent to check a tag that I was talking about agreed that it was misleading. I usually love target but this trip didn't end up the way I wanted it to.
