They also own Marshalls and HomeGoods which are also good stores to check out. I've noticed that each store is somewhat similar to the others..offering the same/similar products at the same/similar prices but each store has a slightly different "thing" that they're pushing... i.e. HomeGoods pushes furniture/decor/glassware, TJ Maxx pushes their clothing, and Marshalls seems to be a combination of the two.

Before we could even look for the air conditioner we had to find the restroom. We walked the entire store, I could see that the aisles are wide and the store looked really clean and stocked. I didn't even know that Target had groceries..they also have a Pizza Hut and Starbucks inside selling their goodies. When we reached the front of the store again I asked an employee where the restrooms were located. Just to let EVERYONE KNOW they are right by the entrance when we first came in. I felt so stupid for not asking sooner. The restrooms were nice and clean. Not only did they have the men's and women's but they also had a family restroom. Now, we were ready to look for the portable air conditioner. I stopped another employee and asked her. She immediately got on her walkie talkie and asked someone else making sure they knew it was a portable one we were looking for. All they had was window units so we left. But sometime I would like to come back and look around more.

I had not noticed this before. So yes, they do announce it. However, I visited again on a Monday, which is Senior Day. Customers aged 55+ get a 25% discount off their entire order (I am 55+). They also have a "frequent shopper" discount card good for 15% off. The cashier (who, by the way he interacted with the staff, appeared to be a manager) said I could use just one. I said no prob, use the one that will give me the best deal. Again, when I got home, I checked my receipt. He had given me the 15% discount instead of the 25% discount. I was disappointed. I was overcharged --less than $10, but still. I never reported it because there are signs that say, "All sales are final; no refunds." Besides, am I going to be the Karen who complains about being overcharged at a THRIFT STORE?!! Haha. On the other hand, their selection is pretty good, esp in the women's section. I've found new and nearly-new items my size, some with the tags still on. And I've found cute gently-used clothing for my grandkids. So yes, I will continue to shop here, especially on discount days.

I went to their small display in a market in Moore and now they've opened their very own store in Norman. Two Hip Chicks also display some of their cute items at Victoria's Pasta in Norman. The two ladies that own the store I met last year at the OKC fairgrounds at a craft show. I've special ordered items as well as bought items that are already made. I live in Northern CA so I haven't had a chance to actually go in their new store so I must plan a trip to Norman to visit the store. I wasn't greeted when entering the store. Not one smile from anyone who worked there. Not one person (there were three working and only one had a customer as there were only two customers in the entire store and I was one of them) offered to help me or ask if I needed anything. One of the women actually was standing around in my way when I tried to look at a pair of shoes and finally moved out of the way and proceeded to start coughing violently near me. Really grossed me out. She actually then left the storefront to the back of the store to finish hacking away. The woman at the counter rang me up and never once asked if I found everything I needed, was a member, wanted to sign up for a store card...NOTHING. Hands down the most unpleasant experience I've ever had shopping in Oklahoma. I'm ashamed to have even spent a dime in this store due to their lack of professionalism and courtesy. All of these people need to be replaced for better sales staff. I think the woman who was dealing with the one other customer in the store was the manager. She was much older and clearly in her own world while the other two proceeded to make a less than desirable experience for someone like myself. Thankfully I found what I needed but I'm afraid the heels I purchased may have been a tad larger than needed and now I'm dreading going back to this location so I will probably make a point to return them elsewhere. When I went to the register they tried to charge me $2 each .When I tried to explain to the clerk about it, he just shrugged his shoulders up and down a few times like it didn't matter to him. He had the manager come over because I told him that I did not want to pay that if your sign says $1.25, why are you charging me $2? When the manager came she said that they don't charge that price ($1.25) for them and it was a mistake that someone had put them over there, even though there were nothing but drinks on that same shelf and aisle priced at $1.25. She never went to look at them to check the price. As I waited to have the clerk remove the drinks before paying, the register decided to freeze up. The manager ended up opening up another lane and checked out everybody else in line. So it took about 15 minutes of waiting for the clerks register to come back on and finally I got checked out. I took a picture of the drinks and price to show the manager and she still just said I'm sorry but that's not the price of those. So it wasn't the best experience at this particular store. I actually came into this store just to buy 2 items for someone else and ended up getting more things. I think that it's bad management and poor taste and customer service when not honoring their mistake. I tried calling regional offices and also sent an email about the matter but no response whatsoever. It's been about a month now.
