Ross bills itself as a fun shopping "treasure hunt" I guess in their minds, the folks that run the Orem Ross think they're steering into this and giving you the option to play on "expert level". Maybe I'm just boring but what crackhead thinks that trying to shop and find things in your size with zero organization is fun?!! I gave up after 15 minutes and walked out. I generally like Ross but the shopping experience there has suffered significantly since the deadly combination of the pandemic and Bidenomics. That combination killed far more businesses than the pandemic killed actual people. This has led to less variety and product availability. Treasure hunts are only fun if you find some treasure and I find significantly less treasure now than I did 5 years ago and any point prior to that. I have three daughters and live in Las Vegas. There's a major East/West road that cuts across the entire valley and has about a dozen Ross locations on, or within a mile of it. My kids used to love it when I took them "Ross Crawling" on a Saturday but the joy of that has dried up pretty significantly due to less product and variety. It would be awfully hard to #RossCrawl if there was no organization of clothing items by size since you're rolling through at high speed looking for specific items, which usually includes clothes/shoes. Thankfully, the only location that consistently seems incapable of grouping similar sizes of clothing and shoes in their corresponding sections is the Orem location. Seriously, I'm not talking about a couple of items that have somehow been moved to the wrong section, it's the whole store. I've stopped at this location nearly every time I've visited UT the past 15 years and I'm done. It was so bad on my last visit that I gave up forever. I realize that many stores move their stuff around regularly so you have to hunt for stuff, which causes you to maybe find things you weren't shopping for that you might choose to purchase. I don't know about you but when I am in line ready to pay I don't want to be yelled "Next", From the cashier, When I approached to pay I smiled and say: "Hi" , I did not get a response, instead she said: "cash or card?" When I said "Thank you" : I did not get a response I told the security guard to tell the manager about this. I'be never been in a store when they said next NEXT, NEXT,NEXT UNLESS is government agency I work in management and I treat people really good in fact they always like it. I'm gonna teach your how is done: You say: " May I help the next customer please", also when somebody said hi, you respond: "Hi,how are you ? also When a customer says thank you: " You're supposed to say, you're welcome, thank you for shopping at Ross" After all we the customers pay your salary by shopping there,right? be nice! We are spending our money there. I don't know who trained you or I don't know who in the world is supervising you, look at all the bad reviews If you need help please contact me and I'll help you will get a lot more customers,you'll make more sales and better reviews and maybe you could even open the second store in the area read more

Ross Dress for Less is hit or miss. The orem location definitely is a lot more dirty, unorganized and picked through. From now on,I will always travel to the American Fork location when I need to go to Ross. I went there today and the floors were actually "clean" compared to what I'm used to there. You'll see in the photos trash on the floor and items scattered. Please keep in mind, I was prompted to take the photos because the place was cleaner than normal. They most always have a line. If even just 4 people in line, plan on waiting quite a bit. They are so slow to check you out and not friendly at all. Great discount prices though. Do yourself a favor, shop at a different location. read more

Ross assumes their patrons are shoplifting just for entering their establishment.... SO--- Avoid the place!! Went @6pm on 6/19/2019. Had the very worst experience EVER there. Will never return and recommend you avoid this place like the plague. The fitting room Natzi called security on me because she didn't want to do her job. She made a huge scene in front of the entire store. I was prepared to pay and would never shoplift. If there was a negative stars I could add I definitely would. Side note: the Ross in St George, UT has never treated us poorly. I'm inclined to believe it is management and personnel mismanagement issue but that doesn't reflect well on the ROss brand. read more

Everyone I know hates on Ross. They say it's too messy, not enough stuff, never find anything in their size. Like... Okay. I get it. Yeah, it sucks looking through their clothes racks, or scouring through the shoes for a pair of size 10 shoes that aren't ugly (some people got big feet ok? And we don't want to wear Tivas or Skechers... sorry.) BUT there is no better place to go for home goods stuff at a super reasonable price. I'm moving in a few months and I know for a fact I will be buying almost all my kitchen wares and bathroom towels/rugs at Ross. What they may lack in clothes or shoes, they make up for in home items. I love these aisles. I like Ross better than TJ Maxx because the prices are better. I recently just bought a 3 piece frying pan set for 20 bucks. TWENTY DOLLARS?! Then I go the register and find out it's actually only 15! Lawd... give me a glass of water cause this place is too much. Occasionally, I'll find a cute top or a jacket that I LOVE and is in my size, but I never put my bets on it. But this store is WONDERFUL for makeup brushes, electronics like portable chargers or bluetooth portable speakers, luggage, FRYING PANS!!!, cups, fancy wine glasses, tupperware, candles, bathroom rugs.... Came here on a Saturday after 3pm and it was busy. We checked out the ladies', juniors', and girls' sections. The prices are awesome, but there's a lot of variety. After a while I felt I was seeing the same style t-shirts and blouses in 5 different color ways. If TJMaxx : Target, Ross : Walmart. However, I will say the cashier I got was awesome. There was an endlessly long line, but he was still happy and friendly when I got to him. read more

This store is always dirty and disorganized. There is an obvious security presence along with some sort of detectors to walk between when leaving; it's like they assume everyone who enters will try to steal something. When I brought three items to the dressing room, the clerk had me hang them up spaced out on a rack so she could inspect them, pat them down and make sure I hadn't hidden anything extra inside them (!). The dressing rooms are dirty, littered, and full of signs reminding customers not to shoplift. As I left, I noticed a very long line -- probably a 15-20 minute wait to check out. I don't know why anyone would shop here, and I definitely won't be back -- not when Old Navy is right next door! read more

This ross, is like Provo's farmer's market on a saturday. On steroids. TONS OF PEOPLE!!! We went there to buy some fun stuff for a birthday party, and maybe a cool house warming present, and I ended up buying a Michael Kors watch that originally costs 300 for 100 bucks. I felt blessed by the powers of the Ross gods. I think this store is great to buy: -everyday shoes -fun outfits for something specific -some ties are pretty awesome -house stuff like comforters, pillows, trays. -purses for girls. lotsa lotsa lota dem. read more

I came to this ross because im visiting my sister in utah i live in California and let me tell you this is by far the worse customer service i have ever experienced. And not just in person over the telephone the lady who answered was completely rude raising her voice in a very rude manner over a simple question...i asked what time do you guys close. Honeslty i get the struggle of working at a discount store but you are not working for free! What makes a great customer service experience is how you react to situations postive or negative. Management should really make sure people who apply there really want to work there. Its not customers fault you radiate anger and hate in a job site. THE WORST ROSS IVE EVER BEEN TO!!! Horrible horrible HORRIBLE customer service. There was a huge line because 4 workers just sat behind the counter just watching. One worker checking people out with such a BAD attitude. When someone didn't get there quickly she YELLED at them to proceed to the checkout for a return. Once I got to the checkout, instead of putting my items in a bag she asked in such a snooty way "Do you want me to bag these?" When I answered "yes please" she threw the bags open and aggressively placed my items in 4 different bags and once again very snooty told me I could grab my own receipt. Even after being nice saying thank you before I left she threw the last bag in my hand and began yelling at the next customer to proceed to the checked out. The products and their prices are good. We especially like the variety of kids' clothes here. But the customer service could have been much better at its Orem store. My family visited here on a Thursday afternoon, and it was not that busy at all. After trying a few pants in the fitting room, I was asked by the young woman at the fitting room entrance to put the clothes that I didn't want back onto the hangers and hand them to her. I was not sure if this was some kind of protocol during the pandemic. When I put the pants and shirts one by one onto the hangers, all she did was standing there and chatting with clearly a friend or colleague. She was rude and simply watched me doing HER JOB! The store manager should really check into that. This is ruining your customers' experience. In contrast, the young man at the cashier was very nice and kind. That young woman should thank her colleague at the cashier, because it was him making me feel better again when I left the store. read more

They pretty much get other stores sloppy seconds! The have name brands and it can be hit and miss for what your looking for. I've shopped here for years and have found some tremendous deals. Its my go to store when I'm purchasing clothes. I've also bought kitchen supplies and other household item here as well. read more

I am not going back. The customer service is horrible. I am a pretty easy going person when it comes to people in general, but the way they treated my children, my wife and I with a total lack of respect. The first thing that struck me as a little off was that the security guard started following me and my family from the moment we walked into the store. I didn't think anything of it. Hey, he is just doing his job and I guess we might look suspicious or what not. He could have done it with a little more finesse, but whatever. As I continued throughout the store I noticed that they had a poor selection of products and inadequate cleaning in general. I can get over that, been to worse places. It was when they started treating my family and I as if we were out to destroy the store! I had planed to buy some toys for them while we were there, and ended up leaving. The security guard, didn't yell per say, but did raise his voice to one of my children telling him not to open a box. He was not even trying to open it! He was looking at the back where are the cool picture were... Then a lady did scold my daughter, my sweet five year old daughter (this is a girl is the calmest, gentlest little person I know!) All my daughter did was press a button on a toy. Normally before you buy a toy you want to see if you like it right? The toy made a sound and the lady told you to leave that toy back where it belonged and not to touch anything. This while I had a security guard STILL following me. I don't like playing the race card... but it almost seemed like racial profiling... That is beside the point. The point is that these people treated us like their job was to make sure that we did not steal/break anything and that is why my family and I are never going back there. I still feel flustered at the treatment we were shown. It may not seem like much to some people but the vibe they gave off as they were talking to us was unpleasant to say the least.
