I used to like shopping at Ross. Recently, I shopped in this store and I had a very bad experience. As I was pushing my shopping cart out, a girl asked me to open my bag so she could examine it. I had just gone through the checkout line. She used a very firm tone of voice, and also said the cart can't leave the store. I was using the cart for support because I have a bad knee, and I wasn't planning to take it outside. That would be impossible anyway because of the pole that's installed on the cart to prevent it from being pushed out the door. read more

Nice location it's a decent sized Ross. Always a friendly welcome from security at the front door. ( must be a lot of thefts) Now the service is Hit or Miss some of the employee's aren't very friendly.( You can tell a few of them Hate their job!) Great clothes selections for the whole family. Love the girls selection they always have something cute and so affordable. Boys selection is hit or miss at times. Teen boys/young mens is alright but you do have to hunt for good finds. Mens selection is not the greatest it lacks a lot. Teen girls/ladies/ women's selections are defenitly the best and by far has the most to choose from. Household items like art decor, blankets, sheet sets, pillows, and much more all have awesome deals. Shoes are always hit or miss sometimes U find something awesome other times U cant find nothing. I had the opportunity to visit your Redlands Ca store 27651, located within Mountain Grove/Citrus Plaza shopping center. I am appalled at how unkept this store is managed. There was literally clothes, blankets, merchandise and everything you can think of piled on top of each other and all over the floors. It was such a dangerous situation and a lawsuit waiting to happen. I cannot believe that corporate has not gone out to visit this store to see how badly it is mismanaged. Please send out one of your mystery shoppers or secret shoppers or someone from corporate to visit the store without management being aware so you can see in real time how horrific this store is. I visit Ross stores all the time and this would never be allowed in any store that I've ever visited before. I don't understand how it's being allowed in this type of shopping center. Prices are low but you really have to look. The one thing I don't like about Ross is that you need a receipt when returning. There is no way to look it up like TJmax. They also drop prices every 2 weeks so if you lost your receipt, you get almost nothing back. read more

Long story short: it's a gift I had engraved for two special people, and it was a ginormous cutting board for only ~$12. I ran in and out of there within a few minutes! This Ross was a descent location and had lots of stuff but nothing to my liking. I saw they sell makeup and skin care but nothing on the high end side. Just no name brands. They sell beauty supplies and makeup bags. They sell everything from clothing to home goods. Shoes were cute but again nothing to my liking. Store was organized and clean. I'm in a wheelchair and almost every isle has something on the floor to where I can't get through. Dude, I appreciate the fact that they are actually following guidelines and making people wait outside to keep their capacity low but THE ONLY THING THAT REALLY BOTHERED ME WAS.. While waiting to enter the store, Everyone in line was wearing a mask.. HOWEVER, here comes the entitled COCK-asian Kyle refusing to wear one.. after walking in, I asked the "security" (if you can call her that) "Face masks required to enter right?" She said "yes" Here comes Kyle walking right behind me and the security asked him to put a mask and he said " I'm just gona do a return" SHE LET HIM WALK RIGHT IN. I was like lady, if u wana be a security guard or loss prevention, u have to have some huevos and stand firm on your policy.. anyway long story short, Kyle shopped around for a good 30-45mins I even asked another employee about their mask policy, and I showed her Kyle wasn't wearing a mask and she didn't do anything about it.. FOR THAT AND JUST FOR THAT IM GIVING THEM one If you have a sign stating of mask mandate, FOLLOW IT.. I called the manager and asked her about the mask policy and she said "masks are required to enter" I told her about the situation and she said "masks are required to enter but we can't make the customers wear them" That left me scratching my head . Ross is a place I do enjoy going to because of the prices. This particular Ross was upsetting because of the customer service. My cashier was by the name of Michelle. When I approached the register, she's speaking to another worker across the way at another register instead of asking how I was doing. Held a full on conversation with another employee during my whole transaction. Then I asked for bags. She said she ran out. I then asked if I can grab some on the other register. When I went to grab the bags for my purchases, she then came over and said she would help me. I wish she would of done that from the beginning. I wish she just would of went out of her way to just grab me a bag especially since I had my two boys. How do you expect me to carry all my purchases when 1. I don't have any bags. 2. We can't take the carts out and 3. I have my kids. I wish Ross would do a better job in the customer service aspect. read more

My only unsatisfactory feeling about this store is the Employees, no customer service skills, untrained in handling long lines and poor management. One Associate is dressed inappropriately showing more then she needs too. One it is not a nite club, I don't need my kids to see your goodies over flowing out of your top! Every single time I come in here there's never enough cashiers. You stand in the return/exchange line and you basically get ignored. I had the worst return/exchange situation on my birthday with a lady named Yesenia. She basically didn't make any attempt to have a manager help me with my return since she didn't have the access to do it. I waited and waited, it had to be at least 30 minutes. When the manager Diane finally helped (who was up there the whole time) I told her what happened she apologized but didn't really do much. Yesenia needs to learn communication and tell the manager what's going on instead of taking purchase after purchase and not helping me when I was there before most of the people making purchases. Worst experience. I will be contacting corporate about the customer service here. read more
