I am a regular customer of Ross and shop there more frequently now that I am back into interior decorating. However, I will not be shopping at the Stafford location again. I went to return some pictures that I had just purchased the day prior, and they had minor marks on them. Because I did not ask for a discount at time purchase for the minor marks that were on the picture, the store manager would not return them. I told him I purchased it like that, but it did not work in customer space. I had my receipt and picture packaging was never opened. He told me to take it back to the store where I purchased it. So, I had to take time to call to the headquarters in order to return the pictures. I guess he was some sort of power trip. Nonetheless, I will not be shopping at the Stafford location. Never had such a horrible experience with a return at Ross. read more

Tbh, I stopped visiting this location because it became overwhelming but as years passed, I see that they have remodeled/restaged the store to their benefit. Employees greeted me as I walked in (a little dry, but it's the thought that counts). Store could be cleaned up a little more but I like the new setup. A lot of people sleep on Ross, but they have a lot of hidden gems in here! Furniture and shoes are their strong suit for the hidden gems & you're welcome in advance. read more

Worst Ross I've ever been in. Been here twice...the first time, I used the restroom and discovered there was NO toilet paper, paper towels, or ANY paper in the bathroom. When I told the dressing room attendant (afterward), she said "I know!". Well, WTF, why don't you help a sister out and tell me that BEFORE I go in??? So rude. Also, both times, this store was a total mess--so much so that I literally couldn't believe it. Crap all over the place, clothes on the floor, still-packed and unpacked boxes....just gross. They are clearly short-staffed or just don't care. Bad management at its finest. I love Ross and love a deal but save your time on this one. It's a shitshow. read more

The Stafford location is 2x better than the Massaponax location. The Massaponax location is a 1.5 rating. That location is a safety Hazzard and accident waiting to happen. The furniture is stacked in a pile and someone will get hurt rummaging through the items. It's only a matter of time. read more

The store is less messy than other locations I've been to, but their customer service is whack. The lady at the dressing room was incredibly rude. I had a few items in my cart that I really wanted but I was so turned off that I just put everything up and left. Will not be back. read more

I love (hate?!) stores like this...we went in just to look and waked out having spent $100. I only briefly looked at some clothes because the racks didn't seem to be organized very well and I wasn't in a mood to search. The cashier was very friendly and efficient. So, three stars for a perfectly good experience. Nothing excellent, nothing awful. If I come back again (Stafford is outside my normal sphere for shopping as I live north) I'll rerate. read more

Every time I walk into this store, it's an automatic headache! They don't really have the nicest staff and the store is always so dirty :( I get the concept of the store, but I think they can do a better job with keep their aisles clean and maybe organizing a better? I mean, come on, TJ Maxx is similar to this place and it's nice to walk into. I would say that this Ross is definitely the Walmart to Target. Ross being the Walmart and TJ MAXX being the Target. I don't know what happened to this store but it reeks of cigarettes. I think they turned the back into cigarette lounge or something because the smell is intense. I went to shop for a pillow and found one I liked. Even though I was wearing my mask, I could smell the smoke through it. It was strong enough to cause me to have a headache and I was only in there for about 15 minutes. I got the pillow I liked, bought it and brought it home. Well that was a mistake! When I got it home, I realized the pillow smelled like an ashtray and was so bad that it caused my entire room and the pillows surrounding it to stink horribly! I then went to return it and the store still stinks! The cashier was informed of the reason for the return and she said nothing in response. No I'm sorry or what does it smell like?! I told two employees while I was there and no one offered any apology or explanation as to why it stinks so bad in there. I will not be back as I do not want anything I purchase to have to be thoroughly cleaned or aired out before use. Not just that it's not even enjoyable to shop there because as soon as you walk in the smell makes you want to turn right back around and out the door for fresh air. read more

I actually won't be back in this store and it's sad the reasoning because they have descent clothing. The reason behind me never returning is actually their temperature control. There is no working A/c in this store. I told a few employees and they stated that the temperature was controlled by corporate. I guess corporate doesn't know it's 85 degrees in the summer? Not sure. But I wasn't going to say anything because I'm also 8 months pregnant and I thought it was just me. Excel when I went into the dressing the room and heard this poor old lady fall over. Her family was with her do they were able to get her up and out of there. But before falling she kept saying how hot she was in Spanish. Yeah at that point I knew I wasn't losing it and won't be returning. Sorry Ross but if your customers aren't comfortable, they don't stay in there and spend money. read more

Love this Ross store. Good selection and great prices, especially when you have a large family on a tight budget. However the bathrooms are always filthy and the staff not so great. I had to change my daughter and went out to the car instead because the bathroom was disgusting! And If any employees are walking by, I have to be the one moving out of their way without them even saying "excuse me".. Completely rude on their behalf. read more

I've always been a big fan of ROSS stores. Recently I moved from Longview, Wa. to here in Stafford, Va. I am always going to be a ROSS shopper, but it would be nice to see less empty shelves here in Stafford. Every time I've visited I've seen very little items on your shelves. Please consider stalking them so we are able to find the merchandise we cannot say no to. For the first time since I started shopping at Ross I actually have walked out empty handed. For me that is mind boggling. I'm so disappointed. I will be back, but I really do not like leaving empty handed. Please try and boost your sales. The only way that can happen is make some serious changes. read more

The Ross at SMP..... The staff has always been very nice, but the store itself is dirty and the clientele is general riff raff. Kids running around( or screaming), people pushing in line and not a pleasant experience. Always good prices, though you should check the merchandise for holes ect. I have shopped at Ross in Massaponnax and it is nicer, so it can be done, people! read more
