I am not sure where the disconnect is but 1- they do not communicate well if you are a former customers. 2- they charge you for service upfront and you pay out of pocket for the service before they file with the insurance. That is my issue that state they have sent it over. I have checked my insruance account and the info is not there. I emailed last week asking for my documents electronically by the end of day and got nothing. I then called and left a message the following day. Asking they send it over. They haven't. I spent 4500 on 1 tooth to be repaired. Now I am in lost between the paper trail of where I get my reimbursement. I have tried not to place blame on them but this is ridiculous. I will not recommend their service as a former patient. Current patient teated extremely well, as a former who wanted to use them again. I will not and I will not recommend them. If you are looking for a bio-dental be prepared to pay up front and possible have insurance issues if you deal with them and be out of money. This has been on going since 28 Aug and it's now Dec 7.

So once again, thank you for a stress- and pain-free dental experience! ___________ Two days ago I had an appointment at a different office in the Mid-Peninsula Medical Center, and I noticed a sign for this new dental office, showing they were now open. I wandered into the cheerily lit waiting room and made an appointment for two days later. It was my lucky day. Dr. William Broas (pronounced "brahss") recently opened the practice and is seeking new patients. He is a quite friendly and brisk, has been around the DDS community for many a year. Jennifer, the dental hygienist, was quick and knowledgable in her skill and trade, and made me feel at ease during the whole cleaning process. This is very important to me as I have TMJ, and the cleaning can be painful--but it wasn't at all! Caitlyn, the receptionist, was also delightful and efficient. When I set up my follow up appointment for my fillings and fitting for a mouth guard, she had all of the costs printed out, waiting for me so that I'd know what to expect. I had no dental work done in the past several years and, in general, have had very little dental work done in my life. No red flag was shown at the previous X-ray or cleaning. I decided to get a second opinion from another dentist in the area who told me no fillings were needed and I had no cavities at all. This is very disconcerting and disappointing to me.

I have been to three dental offices in the Hampton Roads area and although Dr. Chung's office was more accommodating, as well as convenient for me, it is going to cost me dearly in the long run. He is not a jack of all trades and should not be performing all of the services that he performs. He should be getting a second opinion from other oral specialists. The problem I have with Dr. Chung is that I have been disappointed with the results of dental work such as fillings and crowns, especially the shades of crowns that are available. As a result of the offices antiquated equipment and/or Dr. Chung's incompetence, I now have to spend a lot of time and thousands of dollars with another dentist's office to correct what either the equipment failed to capture or the dentist failed to properly advise me on the seriousness of my condition. On a positive note, the hygienist, Kathy, is excellent and appointments are usually available, which is why I stayed with this office but it came at a steep cost.

When he was drilling it was hurting and I told him it was not numb and it hurt, he said, "oh, I did not do that". I was floored and he was acting annoyed. He was rushing rushing around going back and forth from one person to the other in different chairs. he had 3 people lined up and he kept stopping what he was doing with me, and going to other people during the process of a filling on me. Time he worked on me took longer than ever,1hr. I have never had it take so long! today when I tried to get an appointment...I have not been there in over a year. I moved to a different job, but still kept the same insurance, I was told that I cannot get an appointment until September. it is February right now. that is a heck of a long gap of waiting. receptionist told me they are only working with one dental hygienist right now. She didn't say.. "we can contact you if we have an opening or somebody cancels or if things change". So I just politely told her well I will call back and check to see if things change in about a month or so. Somehow I get the feeling they're going out of business real soon. the positive flip side... older Perez's son is nice he pulled one of my teeth and he did a great job. And the wife, who works as a receptionist, is always been overly nice and accommodating.
