He listened, he made suggestions, and he and his team members were all so kind when we would call back with questions or needing clarification or further assistance. The death of a loved one is difficult and Matt and his team helped us from that first point of contact, right through to the day of the service, and even beyond when they provided follow up information and suggested resources. What a fabulous team…read more Imagine the stress of planning a wedding... in 3 days... well this is the level of planning needed for a funeral - and all on 1/8 of one's brain power! - trying to make decisions in the grieving stage is like trying to plan it on a rollercoaster, there's just only so much processing power, and SO much going on. Jill is extremely professional and compassionate. They are happy to handle as much or as little as you want. Whether it be facility, flowers, food, brochures, order of service bulletin, at a church, at their hall, at some of each, at none. Like a genie your wish is their command. Small or extravagant they are happy to do both or either - with the same level of professionalism. Lots of options for every price range. They also did the go-between communication for the cemetery, and have contacts for all the churches in town, and know all the right people to connect with, including the newspaper. They are just as happy if you want church to provided sandwiches or you to provide your own flowers, but if you'd rather not, they can do that too. Skwarchuck was wonderful with my family, and so accommodating and gracious with our extended family and friends at my mom's and sister's funerals. Never missed a beat, never dropped a ball, anticipated all and every need (such as does the deceased wear glasses? and added them such that the visual experience is how we know to see the person). They provide a handbook for after the funeral such as who to call to change information (Banks, insurance, gov't... and other places like elections Canada!) Pre-Planning - I would HIGHLY recommend... we thought all along my father in law wanted to be cremated and here when we asked him, he wants to be buried! They were excellent at pre-planning for my own father, they make it very neutral so no one feels bad, actually it's a huge relief, now that family doesn't have to bear the burden, and can just focus on the moment itself and not the 1000 details of a funeral, never-mind contacting all the family & friends. 1000 thank you's Skwarchuck Bradford location for taking such good care of my family. xoxo

After looking for reviews on Yelp regarding cremation and Funeral services I have come to realize…read morethat there are none, so let me be one of the first to tell everyone what a great service Quinte Cremation Services provides. Let me be brief here. My father passed away under unfortunate circumstances this past November, and before his death, my sister and I began a frantic search for an affordable burial. I myself called every home in Belleville, and explained our dire situation, and did not feel reassured on some of the (what I felt) outrageous expenses. Being young (under 24) and still being a student, you can imagine the balance in my bank account, zip. When we finally got in touch with Mr.Bailey, the funerary director of the Quinte Cremation Services, he treated us with nothing but care and respect. The day after my father passed away, I travelled all the way from Ottawa to Belleville, only to be greeted by Mr.Bailey himself, holding the door open while I came in. Not only was he frank about everything, he walked me through every step I needed to overcome to settle my fathers affairs. This death, being a first for me, was particularily hard, as I undertook most of this process alone. Mr. Bailey's assurance was extremely comforting to me, making what seemed to be a difficult process, so much easier with his assistance. He even called me a few days prior to picking up my fathers remains to give me an ETA and to ask how I was doing. I can highly reccomend the Quinte Cremation Services, and will never forget the kind and wonderful help from Mr. Bailey. I hate how the site (at five stars) rates it, "As good as it gets" because it doesn't really fit what I want to say. Death is not altogether a happy or pleasant experience, but the quality of service I have recieved from this establishment will always be a positive memory to me. I thank you, from the very bottom of my heart.
