In town for graduation & chose Ross House after another place was way too busy. So cute here!! But after 15 minutes of ordering & only my sis/BIL oatmeal bowls came out, another 10+ minutes for their coffees to come out & my hubby's sausage biscuit & lemonade, I still had to wait nearly 10 more minutes for my latte & cinnamon roll. My sis/BIL loved their oatmeal bowls. My hubby's sausage biscuit was ok but the sausage had def been juiced so it was hard & my cinnamon roll was a little dry. College coffee house serving Auburn with an owner that roasts a very nice light roast columbian drip. I bought some of her whole bean last night and it works great in my Aeropress. Good floral flavors. I personally like lighter roasted coffees which this works well for my taste. College coffee houses maintain great long hours which works well for me when traveling. I ordered 3 drinks and it took 45 minutes to get them, and 2 of the three drinks were just straight up black coffee. The service was terrible. I noticed several other people get their drinks and return to the counter because it was not what they had ordered. By the time I finally got my order I was ready to get out of there so I didn't get a sip of my drink until I was already in my car leaving, but that was a mistake. I am typically a fan of RossHouse Coffee, but after this experience I am sad. I ordered an Iced chai latte at 8AM (only 2 other people in the restaurant), and it took over 30 minutes to receive my order. When I asked about an update, the workers were rude & said our order was next. It obviously was not when she asked what my order was about 5 minutes later. The environment is good for studying, but don't expect a good and timely manner on your coffee. read more

I'm a plain Jane coffee gal. Hot, medium to strong blend, drip (what I ordered) and was a really good cup of coffee. Service was good. Having been trained on ordering coffee from Dunkin, (light sugar, medium (blonde) cream) the barista made me the perfect cup of coffee. Though I got my coffee to go, it's a really quaint and typical Southern home of yesteryear, converted into a coffeehouse/ (minimal food offering) restaurant. Lots of rooms all left divided from the original home configuration makes it easy to sequester yourself from others or have a private group gathering. read more

We were driving through Auburn and wanted some coffee and happened to see this cute coffee shop. It is located at the bottom of an apartment complex. Auburn is a very college town and so it's run by the college kids. They do an excellent job!! First there is a private parking lot but you may need a sticker to park there so I'm not sure about parking. We ended up parking there for about 10 minutes and nothing happened. you walk in, it's very vibrant and very colorful seating. It's not packed and it's nicely spaced out. No one is wearing a mask however just FYI. I think it's a great place to study, meet up with a friend or even meet a first date. They have a great coffee selection and they have seasonal flavors as well. They also have their special coffee but it takes a while to brew if you want it you may need some time. everyone is super nice, the service is great. The place is clean like I mentioned and the coffee was amazing. I got a latte with the specialty flavor which was delicious and not too sweet. This is the cutest little coffee shop! Sitting outside on the porch when there's a nice breeze can't be beat. First off, I can't really speak for the coffee, because today I only ordered decaf. It's not fair to judge a place based on decaf drip coffee. I'll definitely come back to drink something real very soon. I did eat though, boy did I eat. Their cinnamon rolls are outstanding. The inside is cinnamon and glaze goo that spills out to coat the rest of the roll. I was also pleasantly surprised to see a breakfast scramble on the menu and it was delightful. Eggs, peppers, cheese, sausage.. you can't go wrong. Why not 5 stars? The avocado toast seemed like it was a prepackaged spread. Definitely always spring for fresh, ripe avocado. Also, those little cheddar biscuits were hard as rocks. I don't really know why, but they did serve as a good teether for my 7 month old. Lastly, the service was 50/50. One of the girls was very nice and accommodating, but the one working the counter seemed forgetful or distracted. It was a Monday morning, I get we all have those days. Overall, my visit was great! I have been to Ross House several times, and I have yet to honestly be disappointed by their coffee and food. They are both always good every time I go. Unfortunately though, it seems like all of the recent times I have been the service is slow. In past times the food and coffee didn't take long to come out but today when I went the food and coffee took about 40 minutes from the time we ordered. You can already tell this place is going to be the new hot spot for coffee here in Auburn. It's day 2 after opening at 4:15pm and there are only a few seats left in here. Which by no means is saying that there is not enough seating. They have plenty. With little rooms in every corner of the house that have tables, chairs, and sofas. The reason I had to come here so quickly after they opened is I noticed they have a frozen hot chocolate and I hadddd to come try theirs. My coffee shop in my hometown used to do one and I miss it so much. This one is really nice too. Chocolatey but not overwhelmingly so. I will be back to try other things like their lunch items and with the hours this place has I know it will be a favorite study spot for the students here. read more

Apparently Rosshouse likes to welcome people to Auburn by calling the cops on them. We moved here two weeks ago, and because this Google page says that this coffee house is open until 11, my husband assumed that they were open when he went there at 9:30 last night and he found them closed with summer hours. Sitting in his car thinking about what he wanted to do, the employees called the police on him. I usually have the best experience when I go to Ross House! It has a really cute and comfortable setting for everyone to enjoy whether they are studying or meeting up with friends. The coffee and food is great! However, the service when the owner is not around is not so great. The people at the front counter don't really smile and act like they don't want to be there. One time when my sandwich order got messed up instead of insisting that they make another one the girl said "so what do you like want another one?" She had no smile, she didn't insist on fixing it, or offer to give a discounted beverage or pastry. read more
