Big fan of Big Blue. Classic college town place with classic college town ambiance. Auburn fandom all over the walls and exactly the type of bagel place you should find in any college town. Really impressed with The Cajun breakfast sandwich which would definitely cost you a lot more elsewhere. Reasonable price for the perfect breakfast sandwich. Could have had a bit more kick for my tastes but if you don't like things spicy, it's perfect. Service was straightforward and friendly. Will definitely be back! read more

Really a 2.5 but I think better than a 2 so went with 3. But that's being very generous. Was craving a bagel and surprisingly not a lot of options here so I gave this place a try. I just got a sesame bagel with cream cheese. The bagel was soft and warm which I liked but it was on the smaller size at least compared to what I'm used to getting. The bagel itself was ok just a tad above a the sleeve of them you buy in a store. Underwhelming for sure. Since not many options I guess this is the place. A little disappointing for sure. read more

A MUST any time I'm in Auburn! It's a hole in the wall, in the BEST way!! I have the Nova every time and it's amazing! Lots of salmon, balances w the perfect amt of cream cheese and capers!! Love this bagel spot, and it hits the spot for breakfast!! This spot is a local favorite for University of Auburn students, and the service is phenomenal and reminds me of Southern hospitality! The bagel chips are cut thinly and are so delish, and they pair well with cream cheese!! The graffiti on the seats make it the place feel homey. People are nice enough but the bagels are nothing better than what you can get at any grocery store. Not worth the money.

Overall, this place is pretty good. I have the pumpernickel bagel with the cheddar cheese, eggs, and tomato. There wasn't much taste to the bagel, but it was soft and fresh. Chair covers torn Big blue plate with cinnamon sugar . I don't like having to do with fasting forks. But that probably cost keeps the price down. I would like to see Recycle if you are eating with plastic. I had to send back the bacon because it came called had to return it to heat it up I didn't want it microwaved I specified Although the eggs and grits were warm. With the exception of having to get someone to return my bacon ticket Chris and warmer, this is basically a self serve restaurant. You go up and make your order and they bring your food. read more

I got the big blue bagel with maple turkey. Cream cheese is not included with the bagel so you do have to order it separately for an extra price, which is what I did. The bagels are good. I ordered the garlic parmesan bagel and it wasn't dry at all. The service wasn't the best. We walked into the restaurant around 1:45 and they closed at 2:30 that day. It was our first time there so we weren't sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. After no one came to us or motioned us to the table in the back, we went over and asked if they were closing up, to which they said no. We then ordered our food. The seating area looked like your typical college restaurant with name writing on tables, walls, and booths. I would eat here again, but I would get it to go. Service is the main reason why I gave it 3 stars instead of 4. My husband would have given it 4 stars because he really enjoyed his BLT, and I can vouch that the bacon was amazing! read more

This is clearly a local favorite because the people kept rolling in. My date and I ordered the Cajun bagel sandwich. Even though the line was long we didn't have to wait too long. I love that they give you real egg and a good amount of it too! We both thought the sandwich would have been better with a more flavorful meat than turkey. I bet if it had sausage on it, it would have been 5 stars! I wouldn't mind giving them another try next time I'm in town. They don't have outdoor seating, so we took ours to-go and ate across the street on campus. Good food, beautiful view, can't beat it. read more

I dropped by Big Blue Bagel for a fun morning breakfast it is a large restaurant with lots of seating. Fun Auburn theming on the walls. I ordered the everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. The bagel was great, good crunch on the outside and pillowy inside. The topping was good, it had more poppy seeds than I prefer and not enough salt. The cream cheese had chucks of peppers and red onion. It was a great complement to the bagel and gave it a good crunch. The bagel was light on cream cheese, I would have used double the amount at home. I saw they were also making bagel chips, which are my favorite! I got a large bag for my lunch next week. I was surprised at the variety of bagels they are made out of. They are crispy and toasted but not burnt. A fun and quick local breakfast. read more

Very good local place here in Auburn! Park wherever you want to around the Toomers square and walk. There's a line! There always is! There's a reason! The line moves quickly and the food is great! The atmosphere here is very much a college town, meaning it's fun and local. Whatever you order you won't be disappointed. The fruit is fresh and the hot food is made to order and hot to your table. A pretty cool spot for when you don't have an Einsteins close by. This place has delicious babe sandwiches. You pick the bagel you want and the type of bagel-which you want. When they run out of bagels they wipe it off the board. I got the BLT on a Garlic Parmesan bagel with a side of bagel chips. That's a first for me having bagel chips. They make them in house and it's not just from their plain bagels. It's from plain, everything, wheat, cranberry (or maybe that was raisin). The bagel was lightly toasted and topped with mayo, bacon lettuce and tomato and cut in half. The garlic Parmesan bagel gave it all a better flavor vs if getting an everything bagel. Place your order at the front, get your number and wait until they bring you the goods. The interior is dark and you'd think it was a dive bar. Exposed brick and lots of wood in here. Booths and tables. So maybe before it used to be a bar. (And yes Yelpers, I am back to eating meat....but it won't last for long). read more

This place was popping on Sunday at noon, so expect to wait 30+ minutes if you want to come in during brunch. We were not given any notice that the wait was going to be long, so a heads up would have been nice. Having worked in a restaurant with a similar menu, I would have expected faster service even at such a busy hour, hence the 4 stars. The Havarti Melt was DELICIOUS, everything from the veggies to meat to cheese was in perfect proportions IMO. Overall a great place for a casual get together and cafe/deli lunch type setting. Luckily there was a lot of seating, so we were able to find a table in the corner. Can't wait to come back and try the infamous bagel chips! read more
