The store was a bit of a mess. Not all Ross stores are the same, so I can definitely say this store was a mess. The Ross on Temecula parkway is a lot cleaner and organized. I don't think I saw any Ross employees on the floor putting merchandise away and cleaning up the aisles. Avoid using their self-checkout. This system is so inefficient. After using self-checkout, I had to take my bagged items to a table, where an employee took out EVERYTHING I bought, and counted for each item. I only used this self-checkout line because no employees were at the registers. The whole process was ridiculous! I can only imagine how it is on busy days, where people who have used self-checkout have to then line up in a second line, and have only one employee removed all their bagged items and count them. I understand stealing is an issue, but maybe instead of having this inefficient checkout process at self-checkout, hire more cashiers. read more

On the hunt for some clothes and socks. Noticed right away the sparse selection compared to other Ross stores. Did find silverware but given the long checkout line decided to set it aside. Glanced at prices and yes, always a value at Ross. Dressing room attendant acknowledged me promptly and was friendly. Was ready to spend some $ but sadly it didn't work out. Had more luck at TJMaxx and Target in the same shopping center. read more

While this remains our favorite location, they really need a better system for doing price checks. There has been a few instances I have inadvertently checked out with an item that didn't have their store price sticker. You have to wait forever for them to find another one with a price, which sometimes they can't find because it's legit the only one on the shelf. We decided go forego a toy because it was taking an obscene amount of time. Also we did a self checkout and the employee who was with us the entire time forgot to take off the security tag for a hoodie. We beeped on the way out and then immediately turned around and within 2 seconds we had to show our receipt to get the tag removed with the same employee. Ross Menifee does turn up, maybe not the best store, but they were dong just alright, as I come in, I realized they didn't have a lot of jewelry, one glass tower for watches, sunglasses and one for everything else, they had stuffs but not necessarily the ones you were looking for, they don't have enough men shoes varieties, but the most amount Small size men shirts for all the department, took the entire isle for it, also they made up for the lacking with a lot of home goods, kitchen stuffs, bed and bath stuffs as well. This location always feels like it's lacking in stock. There are always empty shelves and I frequent 1-2 times a week. It doesn't seem like new items get added often, so I barely find things to bring home. The clothes selection is better than the home/kitchen selection. read more

I stopped at this location to shop with my sister because I was coming down to Riverside where I Live after I grab some clothes I went to dressing room I have 6 pants to try out but any way the Hispanic Woman that worked on Sunday 8/14/21 between 12p to 4pm was the most rude and lazy person that I encountered on Ross. I had been shopping at Ross for long time. She argue with me because I did not left the shopping cart on the place she wants. I did not even know where she wanted it because I never shopped at this store. First she said put your hanger in a place to hang and immediately she said move your shopping cart from that place, she did not give a time I could not two things at the same time then I told her give a minute. Then she got super mad. She said doesn't the place to left the cart I said ok where do you want me to left it. Then I told her. You are a rude person. And I walk inside to try out my clothes. When I came out she continued harassing me. Then she said put your hanger here I put two item that they don't fit me. I was very disappointed in this store. It was just a mess on a Monday afternoon. I had never shopped in here and live close by. The racks are disorganized and the toy section was a disaster with many toys on the floor. It appears as though it is a thrift store. The clothing racks were not in good shape either. I like this Ross. The lines haven't been awful .Can you imagine that when it gets busy they actually add more checkers? Yes, I have seen it happen! Other stores will just have you wait and wait. My guess is they want to give customers more time to think about lost loves, or their first pets. They also keep it pretty neat which anyone who has had to sift through clothing on a floor to even escape a section can appreciate. I wouldn't come to Ross or really any discount store looking for anything super specific like a brand. I have made that mistake and It just leads to sadness and anger towards Ross who if you remember, never promised you anything specific just that it would have low prices. Ross won't defend itself from our expectations no matter how lofty they are. No, Ross stands stoic and knowing. Ross....It's like shopping at a thrift store where everything is new. The prices are decent and you can find some really good items here. You can also find some garbage. Check your items. This is a really busy location so be prepared to stand in line to check out. For the most part it is what you would expect for a discount store. My rating though, is for 2 things; their customer service stinks and they roll the clothes into balls when bagging them. I usually fold everything before they ring it or pull it back out the bag and fold before I leave the counter. read more

Department store...ehh I don't know if you can call it that. Not many departments. Thrift store.....ehh not really used or donated items but some of the junk in there does seem like that. If you are looking for some clothes to just wear and not care to impress, this is the place to go. You can find smokin deals on that stuff here but really the selection is hit or miss. The good items you can find are those you don't necessarily have to show off. Good deals on wallets and accessories. Found some household items for cheap and my wife finds little knick knacks to spice up the home at peanut prices. If it looks good, then cool by me. They have a horrible system though for paying at the register, if you can call it a system. Maybe I'm just unlucky but every time I've gone here the lines are usually long. Plus, when someone opens up another register they sit there and not call the next person waiting. Instead some idiot, who doesn't see the line, cuts in front of us all and everyone gets irritated even more. Dude, even the grocery stores do a better job with this than the people here! Anyway, I'm just saying you better find a good ass deal to waste half your day waiting. More often than not, I don't find anything of interest and I feel I wasted my time even trying. read more

Left very pissed off! The manager Brenda wasn't helpful at all. She told me that I needed to call corporate, cause she couldn't help me!!! Had 3 shirts all with tags still on and receipt which states that you have 30 days to return. Bought them on 7/20/16 and tried to return them today 8/20/16 and was told I couldn't get my money back. Only a store credit. Because July has 31 days in it, I was a day late. The manager told if I would have came in the morning I would have got my money back, but because I went around 6:00pm I only get store credit. She could have cared less how bothered I was. She was too busy to even really help me. I work in customer service, she really shouldn't!!! I would be written up if I treated people like that. Trust me, I will be calling first thing Monday morning!!!! read more

It reeks of armpits and sweat all year long, and is just a horrible mess of a post-tornado wreckage. But this Ross, this Ross was neat, organized, and clean. At least when we went this past long weekend as my mom perused the aisles for some workout clothes. I've actually never seen a Ross so organized. Literally, everything in its place. It was such a breeze to walk through and to shop through. Efficiently going aisle by aisle and just picking things up. I think I only put back one item from my cart - everything else we got. Found a few pieces to wear in Vegas, at least for the pool, so thank you Ross Universe for at least having one clean, friendly, efficient store. read more

Basically a hot mess. Junk everywhere. Aisles blocked with merchandise that fell off the shelves. Crushed out cigarette butts on the entryway floor mat. Overall filth, the floor looked as though it hadn't been swept in weeks. Loss prevention employees everywhere following people around like all the shoppers were going to steal something. Came in today with my 97 year old grandmother to help her find some clothes for the summer. This past year she has lost a big amount of weight after some health complications and from being in and out of the hospital. Our shopping trip was going well until it came time to try on her clothes. The manager was called in regards to her using the shopping cart as a walker to help keep her balanced while walking around. She is very unstable while walking so hanging on to the shopping cart helps her be steady. The manager told her she was not allowed to use the cart to go into the fitting room area. He did not offer a solution to help us either as I held on to her clothes and my 1 year old baby at the same time. He had a "too bad i could careless" kind of attitude. He shouted that the fire department would fine him $10k. I told him it would be less than the lawsuit he would receive if my grandmother fell and broke her hip in his store due to him not allowing her to use anything to hang on to. He proceed to laugh and say "that wouldn't be a lawsuit." Other women standing in line to try their clothes on were appalled just as much as I was. One lady even told true manager that it wasn't right. His response was "well that's to bad i can't do anything about it" and then walked away. Upon entering the fitting room area with my grandma, my baby and her clothes in hands there was only one handicap fitting room that of course was occupied. We attempted to fit in one of the smaller rooms that of course had no safety bars for her to hang on to. This is something that should be addressed especially since this Ross is so close (5 miles) to a senior citizen populated city. We were very disappointed in the service that we were given. read more

You live and learn. We bought a piece of luggage at Ross. It seemed great, but once we filled it, it wouldn't roll except veering far away from me. We ended up taking it on our trip, because what else were we to do? When we got home just 2 weeks later we tried to explain the problem. No way were they going to give us our money back, but we would have been totally happy with an exchange. We just need a piece of luggage that works. Nope, nada, no way. My mom and I were hanging out when we decided we wanted to spend some money. I think the proper term is shopaholics for people like us. Our mistake was choosing this Ross location, even if they have awesome late night hours. Apparently customer service is not even a thing. I understand I walked in wearing a big coat, but it was 40 degrees outside!! They literally attached to us like flies on sh*t thinking we were going to steal for an hour and a half! So ROSS what was it about my appearance that made your security and store employees literally follow/watch us like we were criminals? Was it because of my big coat... the fact my hair was up, face no make up... chunky with tattoos? I don't care if I looked like a hot mess at 10pm, I'm not trying to impress anyone... apparently my natural look set off red flags- I am beyond offended. Just because I didn't take the time on my appearance... you physically let me know that I appeared to be beneath other customers and must be too poor to pay for my items! Here's my experience, after checking out and not being happy with workout selection... I went to check out the purses. One caught my eye, was really beautiful so I looked at it wondering if I would actually use it. Deciding that the plastic material would not last and was on the small side... I kept looking. Next thing I know... security goes to the same area and starts checking all the purses... literally checking inside like I did something to them. Then I notice a young female store employee acting like she was fixing the shoes... conveniently in my area. It was like she was just picking them up and putting them down... appearing as if she was doing some "organizing". Seriously chick? I even asked her a stupid question about a product in another area...just to see if she continued to pop up in other places after our interaction. No lie... I had that same experience three more times while I was there... not with that same employee, but new ones. Obviously word got out that we looked shady and poor.If you guys are going to act like you are doing something just to watch customers... be smart and take a scanner at least. Be believable!! I went to dressing room and dealt with same girl from shoe section... she had snob attitude at first, but quickly changed it. I later realized what was with her attitude... my mom gave the girl 5 clothing items...she counted it and then handed her a knob hanger with the number 6 on it. My mom (who already mentioned to me how they were making her uncomfortable) told the girl... I need you to recount this, because it's not 6. I guess my mom made a comment about how funny that 'mistake' was and how that could have easily turned into a bad situation if she came out with one less item. Could have easily been a mistake... I won't claim it was on purpose, but what a convenient mistake that was for our current situation. The only great employee there was Roe(I hope I'm spelling that correctly)... he treated us like people. Totally different experience compared to the flies and the chatting employees in the front. So Roe, thank you for how nice you were to us tonight! So helpful and very attentive! Ross Managers, How did it get this bad? To have employees following people... checking areas customers recently left or staying really close by to keep an eye on them. Walking around without name tags to appear as if you guys are customers. Employees staring at us as if they were letting us know 'we are watching you'. That was truly an overkill and HORRIBLE training on your part. Teaching employees to watch and stay close by instead of actually doing something productive. FUNNIEST PART? NOT ONE OF THOSE EMPLOYEES ASKED UF WE NEEDED HELP WITH ANYTHING! You guys were way over staffed for how slow it was... so want to look like you are saving the company money? It's not by downgrading your customer service skills and trying to catch someone stealing... it's by not having a handful of employees on theft duty when it is super slow. Send them home! You might even get a raise for thinking outside the box. I obviously didn't care to impress anyone by dressing up at 10pm in 40 degree weather. So judging on appearance is not only wrong... it's ignorant. I don't care how much people steal from you guys... this 'solution' is not the way. If I could give zero stars I would . I'm the last person to ever right a damn Yelp review but Growing up I've always attended this Ross and never had issues until today . I recently purchased things for my new home and they forgot to take a security tag off of the throw pillows I purchased. I went there today to ask if they could take them off for me and that I had proof or purchase. Everything was going fine until the manager James decided to attack and belittle me as if I was gonna steal a 17$ pack of throw pillows , so pathetic . I simply asked are you really going to give me a hard time over a mistake your store made ? He yelled and said " OHHH SO YOU THINK YELLING IS GONNA MAKE ME HELP YOU" in a petty attempt to embarrass me .someone needs to put that man in his place because this is not the first time I've heard complaints about him I even know employees who quit because of him. Went shopping the other night and my cart was full, I mean FULL. Asked to look at jewelry and was rudely met by a black worker who had poor customer service and a bad attitude. Rolled her eyes, stood there and was snarky and snappy. If you're not happy with being around people, or being in retail, then find a different job seriously. This worker acted as if I just wanted to look and not buy. Even if I just wanted to look, her attitude was nasty and unprofessional. Not even a "hi." She just stood there w a stank face. Sorry you had to do your job and unlock the jewelry so I could BUY the 3 jewelry items that you get paid for to help customers when they're shopping. As if I was interrupting an important meeting. Honey, you work at Ross and your job is to help customers. I didn't know unlocking the jewelry door was such a hassle when there wasn't even a line. I love shopping at Ross!! It's one of my favorite past time stores. This particular store I was a little disappointed instantly when walking in. They had a security officer standing in front?? This is a pretty nice area so that was a shock. Then when shopping I was happy to see everything was in ordered. All 8's, 10's and sizes were exactly in order.. So that didn't bother me after awhile. When checking out I went to walk out and my cart wouldn't go out...LOL.. You aren't able to take the cart outside of store.. It was comedy... They place huge bars on carts so you can't remove out of there store.. Don't buy a bunch of stuff in store because your forced to lug your bags to your car... LOL.. read more
