I originally requested a quote with Dillard Movers a few weeks ago and they provided the below…read moreestimates: 2 Movers + Truck - $125/hr + trip fee 3 Movers + Truck - $175/hr ...Followed by a Yelp estimate for $150/hour for 2 hours with option to schedule... I say "I want 3 movers" - to anyone reading this, they would think 3 movers is faster and you avoid a trip fee. Especially someone like me who has a small move. First, I was really excited to have them move me originally (they are minority-owned, women-owned, LGBT-friendly, etc.), BUT trying to get a response back is like watching paint dry - it takes forever!! This is reflected in other feedback you see as well. I was waiting for them to send me an updated quote, which they said they would provide (or respond) within 1 day. 3 days later I get a response... So, I decide to call their line, which they only sometimes answer. Second, so I am now onto my scheduled week of moving and now the owner and the customer service representative (word for word, as if this is a standard talking point) say "we've never had a customer assume the trip fee is waived."... then went on to talk about competitive rates, etc... To anyone reading this, does this not sound like they are making ME seem stupid for even thinking that the trip fee was waived because THEY did not include the trip fee in the 3-mover quote? I think so. Would NOT recommend based solely on the poor customer service, confusing fees (which I told them upfront I wanted to avoid), and lack of truly caring about its potential customers - perhaps that's why you have to have such "competitive prices".

Then Crickets I sent a reply saying I needed it sooner then later NOTHING a few days later sent another reply saying I was disapointed they didnt get back to me. NOTHING BACK Obviously something has changed the great customer service went to crap and because I work in the CS Industry I cant with a good heart recommend them anymore. Lesson learned, a 5 second e mail could of avoid a loss of a customer and the clients I was sending when asked if I knew of any movers. So much for having a good clients back when needed more so since they were the 1st ones I reached out too.

Anyway, these guys were absolutely awesome. Super friendly and great to work with, took good care of my things, and were very open to whatever feedback or requests I had for how to arrange things. Also, I got quotes from a few places, and this was by far the most affordable. Another company quoted me over twice what I ended up paying with these guys. They got a big job done quickly, moving me out of a third-floor walk-up apartment with a tricky staircase that has four turns - I was amazed at how fast it went. And they were able to get my couch down no problem, despite the fact that the company I'd hired when moving in said it was impossible to get up and made me disassemble it on the street. Would absolutely recommend these guys. I'd love to never move again, but such is life, so when I do, they are my first call.

Our large upholstered items were carefully wrapped and professionally removed and dropped off at our new location with no issues. They worked efficiently and had a great attitude as they moved about 45 boxes in the rain. Our quote was for 2.25 hours & they finished in about 3. There were a few extra items that we added after quote. Price was between $600-800. We have never used a moving company before so we are extremely appreciative of the great service we had!

I significantly underestimated the amount of time our move would take. The move took over 10 hours and filled 3 trucks! The team of 4 guys who came out were on time, very polite and worked their butts off the whole day. I only saw them take one break the whole day! One of the guys told me he thought a mirror may have cracked, despite being wrapped carefully. He was very apologetic. I told him stuff happens. I saw them being very careful with all of our items. The mirror was a bummer, but could have happened to anyone. The owner had indicated he would give me a discount when we had first talked. However, there was not a discount at the end. I emailed the owner the next day and asked about the discount. He got back to me right away and said he would look into it. Frankly, that very minor issue does not change my review or opinion about this moving company. If we had to move again tomorrow (God forbid!) I would call these guys again. Based on the amazing reviews, I was looking forward to hiring a small local business to move us…read more Unfortunately I was less than satisfied. We hired two movers with a truck for an 11 am arrival. We did not hear any confirmation until I reached out at 10 am. They said they wouldn't make it until noon. No biggy. Three men arrived in a U-Haul truck shortly after 12pm, with one making a comment about how he just woke up. I was surprised they sent out three, but know their contract states that they can if they feel its necessary. I was expecting professional, on time, careful, efficient movers based on reviews but received the bare minimum. They dropped several boxes and a small weight set, luckily nothing was broken. They also scratched our new stairway with our crib. Our home was 1 master bedroom with a decent sized nursery and a small office. We had everything boxed and ready to go for them, but they only arrived with one dolly, making the time it took to move things extremely prolonged. We expected the job to take roughly 5 hours, but when the movers arrived, one stated that the load up shouldn't take more than 3 hours! We were ecstatic. Unfortunately that was not the case, as it took them 6 hours, even adding another mover towards the end. I wish I could be empathetic, however the time they spent on their phones was problematic. We sent them home before they finished due to the time lingering on, and after complaining about their service, they asked us to cease communication and have threatened legal action, which we plan to take. They offered a small discount after arguing with my significant other, but told us it expires in four days. I wanted badly for my first experience hiring movers to be great, and I thought that the decent price and reviews were enough to earn my trust. I wish I hadn't. I'm sure many people have had great experiences, but the hostility towards us and the poor service we received makes me second guess the legitimacy of some of the reviews, especially after 10 years of business.

What a great crew!…read more Easy to work with. Prompt, courteous service over the phone. We used them during non-peak times on a Wednesday (Dec 9th). They showed up on time and ready to work. The team was very quick, easy to talk to, and very concerned with the details of our move. It made our last move one of the easiest things we've done in our search for a new home. They double-checked with me or my wife about all things that needed to be moved. They come in under budget/time and if I were to move again, I'd definitely check with them first.
