Not sure why people are giving this low reviews. Yes it's just for Roswell. If that's an issue people should talk to their representatives to get a location In Alpharetta. It's not the locations fault, it plainly says it's for Roswell only. My boyfriend brings boxes here all the time and it's fast and efficient. read more

Love the recycle center and transport dump down the street. We use them both all the time and the people are nice and helpful. They dont play about being a Roswell resident so be prepared to show a Roswell ID or keep it moving. So many perks living in Roswell that I cant even imagine moving outside this city. Our tax dollars at work finally helping the residents. read more

Live in Roswell before anyone makes comments about not being a resident. The reason we have to go here is because the regular Roswell trash people refused to pick up any items that do not fit into the trash can. Same with the recycling if the recycle guy has to get out of the truck he will not pick up your boxes or other items so they make you go to the transfer station. At the transfer station the people are delusional, splitting hairs about what goes where and offering no help to the residents except to argue with them. One of the clowns the other day who worked there tried to tell me he would banned me from coming because I told him that he does a poor job and I do not like him, he then threatened to call the police all over a barbecue grill that I wanted to throw into the dump and he forced me to take it to the recycling station which they surprisingly took the item. Again these people are obsessed with turning away "nonresidents" and also obsessed with harassing residents. read more

If you're a Alpharetta/Johns Creek resident upset that the ROSWELL operation won't take your fancy glittertrash, either move to Roswell -- le horreur!! -- or get Alpharetta/Johns Creek to open a town recycling center for your Avalon shopping bags, unwanted servants, and empty pinot grigio bottles. Oh hell, put it in Cumming. Those crackers won't mind. read more

I will admit that I am an Alpharetta resident. I agree with most that they have turned into being pretty rude and almost in your face when they ask about seeing your ID. They did once accept everyone's recycling. They have indicated on different sites that it is due to staffing, but when I arrived I counted three people who were sitting or standing around doing nothing so it makes you wonder. I am rating it higher based on past experience only. read more

I've lived in Roswell for how many years and I didn't know about this??? I'm an amazon freak. And being such, I have boxes, upon boxes, upon boxes that collect quickly. In the garage. In my way. I'm not a pack rat, but I always think, maybe I'll use that box? And so the pile gets larger, and larger. So finally I decided to break them all down and take them over to the recycling center. While I was at it, I had an old TV, old stereo, igloo cooler, and excessive and copious abouts of bubble wrap (I mean we are talking months and months of popping). To my surprise, when you get there everything is labeled very thoroughly, from the electronics, mattresses, boxes, plastics, etc, and holey moley, they even have people to take the stuff out of your truck and categorize it for you?! It's like the trash valet service. If you are a Roswell citizen, the service is 100% free! (Yah!) If you are not, there are a few fees for certain tiems like the matresses, electronics, etc - I believe I remember seeing 10$ (not bad eh?) I'll be back.... just got a few more amazon shipments en-route.... read more

They are located on the most northern part of Roswell, close to Alpharetta but will not accept recycling from any person not living in...wait for it...ROSWELL. Don't take your trash here make Alpharetta get it together!! SANDY SPRINGS IS TOO FAR! read more

I love this place. Friendly and helpful service most of the time. They will help you unload your car. I also love that they have a goodwill drop off here right when you pull in. I wish that all recycling centers were this efficient. If you don't recycle go here and see how they are saving from the landfills. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. read more

I would say when I am able to use the Roswell Recycling Center as a Alpharetta/Milton resident it has been great since 2004. I have been using and paying to use this Service Center for the last , almost 14 years. Now I need this service more than ever, since I moved to Atlanta in 1998, 22 years now. However, somehow it was decided that only Roswell residents can use and no one else? It is June 17th and I have no place to send my recycling? That is over 3 months! Pretty neat facility...I've seen it bustling most of the times that I've driven past, although it wasn't busy the couple of times that we've been. We dropped off some exterior doors and I wasn't sure exactly where to put them. Finally a guy tooling around on a forklift pointed towards a large steel bin, so I threw the doors in there and took off. The center is a great option for a burst of virtuous satisfaction. I like feeling that at least some of the refuse of daily life is being repurposed, although it's likely not a large impact on the overall volume of trash. Stop by and drop off what you can, toss the rest in your trash can and let the professionals take it away. read more

Since my complex doesn't have recycling pick up, and I used to work across the street from here, it's my favorite place to drop off all my recycling. They take practically everything (except 5 and 6 plastics... which no one around here seems to take, so while put it on the container anyway...). They even have a Goodwill truck, so you can drop off your donation items at the same time. The volunteers will often come out to your car to help you sort and carry, particularly when you've got a trunk full of magazines. I was quite excited when one of them even sorted through my junk mail/magazines/paper box so that I didn't have to walk it to three separate bins. I know this makes me lazy, but it's nice when you're in a hurry. Save the planet by saving your stuff and drop it off here, particularly since they take things that you can't put in your bins, even if you have them. read more

For so many years I have been going to Roswell Recycling Center and always was happy to bring our large boxes and felt I was doing something great to help the environment. Today, I packed up the car and brought a collection of boxes from a new furniture delivery and they asked to see my license since I live in Alpharetta they would not take them. I am so disappointed! They were not even nice about it! The guy was rude and could have just said next time we can not do this. I live less then 2 minutes from this location, closer then people who live in Roswell. read more

I used to bring my glass for recycling here all the time. I am a Johns Creek resident. As of today, May 2020, they are checking ID's and only Roswell residents are allowed to drop off recyclables. I drove away with a car load of card board. Very disappointing. read more

Roswell has a great recycling center. It's open and clean . The employees are very helpful. Every time we go there with cardboard boxes the workers rush out to the car to grap the boxes for us . Goodwill always has a truck or two on site for donations. read more

It's a pretty nice recycling center I guess. After a move, we had a bunch of cardboard boxes left, as one as bound to have after a move. Our garbage/recycling service and only take so many a week, so what is one to do. Starting a bonfire with them would be cool, but the neighbors might object. So off to Roswell Recycling I go. The drop off is pretty self explanatory, with different sections to drop cardboard, glass, plastic, etc. The staff was friendly and helped with the unloading process. read more

This facility is ok, but could be much better. The goal of recycling should be to keep junk out of the landfill, help the environment etc. To that end there are a lot of rules that you won't find out until you get there. For example they say online they take fluorescent bulbs. But then when you go they inform you that only 5 bulbs per day. So now you can plan to make two trips, waste time, gas, and pollute the environment some more. Most fixtures hold 4 bulbs and a normal basement may have 3-6 fixtures. I probably have a total of 9 or 10 in my house, so 40 bulbs. Same problem with paint. I called to ask if there is a limit. Very squishy respone and online doesn't specify. The answer was - "What will fit in the trunk of your car". That is a strange limit! A Smart car, old Buick, how about give me a number so I can just plan? Also to recycle fluorescent bulbs you have to give them your license, they go off somewhere and record info from it. I just hope I didn't lose some Identity information. Some of the folks who work there are doing community service to satisfy the courts. read more
