Owner said he would provide a crane to remove a container from a transport vehicle. The crane never…read moreshowed up and instead he brought a tow truck to pull a 53-foot container off the trailer, which ended up damaging the truck driver's trailer. He then promised a crane for a specific time and date to remove another 53-foot container. The crane did not show up at the agreed time, and after multiple conversations the owner stopped answering his phone. The crane finally showed up the next morning. Because of his breach of contract, we had to pay $400 in damages for the first truck driver and $2,300 to the second truck driver for 20 hours of wasted time. The owner of TL George then showed up at our place of business demanding $3,100 and told us that damaging the first driver's trailer and costing us $2,700 wasn't his problem. He made it clear that either we pay him or he would see us in court. He even showed up with documents that instead of our signature on them just said "Phone" but no part of that contract was actually expressed over the phone. Moral of the story: rent from anyone else, even if it means going out of town, because this guy will take advantage of you and doesn't care.
