But, when it came to renting the piece of equipment I needed, the guy behind the counter was very rude and unfriendly. Both when renting the equipment out and when i brought it back. I assume he's one of the owners or owners sons. Middle aged guy, maybe in his late 30's early 40's. Attitude was like he could care less about anything you had to say. When asked any questions he gave very short and sassy responses. Almost like you were putting him out. It doesn't take that much effort in smiling and being nice to your customers guy. I've worked in customer service for many years and a smile and greeting alone is Customer Service 101. This guy is in the wrong line of work. I'll never rent from here again. They're not the only rental store in town.

Our company rented a Bobcat E60 Excavator first for one day on 7/30/26 and then for a week rental on 7/31/26 through 8/7-26, with the caveat that the equipment could be returned with a full refund if we reported a problem, because the equipment on the prior rental before us was used to demo three homes!! The equipment was not running or working correctly and Uptown knew it. We believed it had been serviced prior, at least to a point that we could troubleshoot a quick fix. We really needed the machine. The overall rental cost us 2,257.27! It never worked properly. It wasn't used! We emailed to an email that the invoice came from: the email didn't clearly state no reply on invoice. My husband then reported it to a representative upon returning it we expected a full refund as negotiate. We received no call or any other communication from Uptown Equipment Rental, but our money was never refunded! Not until I started calling did I get the excuses from the owner. He wanted to work something out but not refund our money. He then blamed us for it being a day late because they were already closed! We drove from up in the mountains to get there but because of slow traffic we were 10 minutes late! His next excuse for keeping the entire 2.257!! What??!! Now he wants to speak with my husband and won't speak with me. Why??! We simply want our money refunded! I'm starting here. Next, I go to Google and the Better Business Bureau!
