I attended a wedding here and it was a peaceful and serene experience. There is a boardwalk and pavilions for events. The restrooms were also nice and clean. Actually better than some restaurants.

I really love this park!…read more I saw the signs for it & just decided to check it out as I love to visit the Nature parks. This park is exceptionally beautiful. It has an old vintage Florida feel with gorgeous old moss covered trees, kids play areas, an old vintage railroad, tons of biking & walking/hiking trails & a giant Lilly covered pond/lake. I had such a great time the first time I went. There was wildlife everywhere & I got to video some very friendly birds. I went back again & it was even more beautiful the second time, than the first time as it had just rained & all the flowers were blooming. They have a little garden there. It's just so precious. This place is so very beautiful. I keep finding all these different trails, they are obviously working on it & making it bigger with more trails. It's a very peaceful place, Like a forgotten tropical wilderness stuck in time. I have not seen more than 5 people here at once. I love all the Nature Parks for hiking but I have to admit. This one is very special & very unique. I can't wait to return. Highly recommended.

Perfect for catching those sunset views. Cookout Ready: Grab a picnic shelter and fire up the grill! They're right next to the children's playground, so you can eat while the kids burn off energy. Dog Heaven: They have two fenced-in areas so big and small dogs can run wild safely. Nature Walk: Take the boardwalk through the woods--it's super peaceful and leads you right to a small beach area to dip your toes in. The Basics: Don't worry, they have clean restrooms and plenty of parking. Whether you're here to fish, hike, or just soak up the Gulf breeze, this park is a total win.

This was my least favorite park in the area…read more It was very small, didn't have a lot of shade, the restrooms were open air & there is a very creepy industrial plant in the background so the views are not very good either. Didn't see any wild flamingos there. As a matter of fact didn't see any wildlife there at all. As it's really just a dog park with some trails to walk your dogs. Not a great place to take photos. The dog park area is new & very nice thou if you have dogs. There is three different runs sectioned off, one for small dogs, one for large dogs & one for the med sized dogs.

This was a mother's day visit- parking was going fast, and the beach was packed. My mom and daughter and I just wanted to walk the island, get some toes wet and in the sand. We enjoyed the water immensely. So much wildlife to see throughout the park. My daughter's first birthday was held in one of the pavilions. Easter picnics with ham-kabobs. Taking the little kids out kayaking the inlet- endless possibilities to explore. Enjoy the park adventure!

This is where you can take those pics. They also have picnic tables. As for swimming, I would say no. So much seaweed and not enough water. I believe it's a combination of the tide and the lack of rain too. The parking here is $6 and you can pay through park mobile. They say no dogs and there are tons of signs. My pup and I stayed in our car while my husband went to check the water. It was a good reminder why we don't go to this beach. Unfortunately, this was the day of the craziness in Clearwater with the teen takeover with all the chaos.
