As someone who enjoys walking outdoors near bodies of water, I truly enjoyed this walk. There was a good amount of seating throughout the park. There were various other recreational courts that you can use alongside, public restrooms, outdoor grills, large fields to gather in for picnics, workouts, etc. There is also a good amount of public parking. Secret Lake Park is lovely, and it is also peaceful. You can fish or just enjoy overlooking the lakes in a moment of solitude. Speaking of lakes, Secret Lake Park is made up of a series of lakes at varying sizes that you can walk near/around. They also have some historical boards in the park that you can read about the history of the lakes.

Our friends have their Rock Super Bowl at this park each year, they have been holding this event…read moreannually so it's their Rock Super Bowl IX. We had a blast! Basically, a battle of the local rock and roll bands - a variety of different members from different bands come together on two teams for one day with a purpose to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Tickets are only $5, bring a foldup chair, 10x10 tent, a cooler and it's a great time watching all of our friends compete with one another on the field. Torcaso Cove Park is a great place to hold this event. There is a spacious field with plenty of space on the sidelines for fans. There are several parking areas available making parking easy for large events. There was plenty of space for a half-time show with live music right by the field. There were also a BBQ vendor and several other vendors on site selling food, jewelry, and other items. The park has a public restroom, a playground, splash park, sand pits, plenty of paved walking areas, a picnic area with tables, large pavilion, a beautiful bridge that crosses the heart shaped cove, the park has a bunch of Muscovy ducks waddling around and is dog friendly, what else can you ask for. Nancy and I really enjoyed our time at the park, we will definitely be back to bring our dog and take a nice walk. I just have to mention that it was a bit muddy on the field, even on a hot sunny day. So be sure to wear something you don't care about getting dirty.

Full of ducks and turtles, and I always make sure to bring oatmeal and frozen peas so I can spend a little time with them. You can feed them from the bridge, or the beach. They will surround you LOL. There are 3 play areas: 2 for the big kids, and a pirate themed area for the little kids. There is also a splash pad, and I will openly admit to running through recently, as I chose to go on my run when it was over 95 degrees. The park is very clean, and well cared for, and it's right next to the Winter Springs Police Department, and on this day they had an event bringing awareness to autism; I was offered a popsicle and gladly grabbed it. I sat on a bench to watch a soccer match, while I finished my cold treat, stretched a bit, put on my weighted vest, waved to the ducks, and took off. Perfect park on a perfect day :)

A friend and I decided to try a new park for a walking adventure…read more Unfortunately, it looks like the walking paths that she remembered were under construction as it was nothing more than a muddy pathway and unwalkable. Otherwise, it seems like a nice park with plenty of parking, some covered pavilions, tennis course and fields for sports. It also does have a little bit of a nice lake view so that could be awesome for relaxing and/or bird watching. I have not had the opportunity to interact with any staff or make any reservations, if needed, so I can't speak to that.

The pool has a zero drop entry with some splash features for kids. The other end of the pool is for lap swimming. There are some tables and chairs with umbrellas but they fill up fast. There are life guards that help keep everyone safe and following the rules. There is a cost to enter the pool but it is very reasonably priced. They even have seasonal and annual passes and they take credit cards. We will be back to enjoy these amenities again!

Overlook Park is located on Lake Jessup near the southern end of the beltway bridge. Lake Jessup is…read morenotable for being the home of over 13,000 alligators giving it the highest concentration of alligators in Florida. The park is surrounded by two sulfur springs of historical significance, one to the east and one to the west that give you the feeling as if you are on a small island. The three acre park has a pavilion with several picnic tables and a grill. Throughout the park are large oak trees covered in moss that provides a shaded canopy from the sun. Around the water's edge are Cyprus trees with their interconnecting roots, also known as Cyprus knees, that stick up out of the ground. As you look out towards the water, you can see a newly reconstructed boardwalk popular with local fisherman. I especially enjoyed the wildlife at the park which is home to osprey, various Florida wading birds, and the alligators of Lake Jessup. This is an especially picturesque and peaceful park with a rich depth of area history.

Wide, paved paths wind through lush gardens filled with native plants. The park also has a water play area, amphitheater, playground, boat dock, board walk along Lake Concord, and a fountain. The City of Casselberry has a strong commitment to the environment with its stormwater management initiatives in this park. Lake Concord Park is also a hub of art and culture. The park contains a sculpture walk with over 40 public sculptures, and three free art galleries: The Art House, The Sculpture House, and Art Center. I enjoyed exploring all of the interesting public art pieces in the garden along the sculpture walk. I also checked out the temporary exhibits in the galleries which are further detailed in separate reviews. Many city events are held in the park during the year. These include Earth Fest, Spring Jazz and Art Festival, Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, Casselberry Food and Wine Festival, concerts, car shows, and food trucks. Lake Concord Park does a great job of drawing the community together with support for the arts, well thought out recreational amenities, and engaging events.

When we first moved here, this park had almost nothing to it. I think one pavilion, some swings, a small pond where you can watch the fish and turtles. However, today this park is absolutely beautiful and filled with so many amenities. The park as you will see from my pictures is loaded with beautiful, mature shade trees. A sizable splash pad for the little ones, restrooms and much more. Huge pavilions for large groups to hold family reunions, birthday celebrations, etc. If you have children, this is a wonderful park to have a family gathering, or a nice picnic lunch with a friend.
