I work in the healthcare industry, and similarly to those who are in law, time is always very limited, schedules (even large swaths of one's schedule) are very likely to change at the drop of a hat - despite how hectic my and Mr. Raie's schedules are/ever were, he has always been highly professional, effective, and knowledgeable. There were two instances where either the timing of proceedings was very limited (I was previous out of the country and when returning to the States, was informed of an upcoming court date). Even though he was not getting paid, Mr. Raie very graciously took time to speak with me personally, after hours, and helped to device a suitable course of action. Mr. Raie went so far as to reach out to several of his personal contacts in order to assure my legal needs were being met. This man is very helpful and his services were always very reasonable in price no matter what firm he was working at. There have been multiple occasions where I was leaving the hospital late (later than 10pm), and still Mr. Raie made himself available, never charged me for a freakin phone call nor text message nor email (which is basically unheard of in 2023/2024 when talking about the legal industry). Legal stuff is ALWAYS expensive, but you really get good "bang for your buck" if you will, with Mr. Raie. When I talked to the receptionist, I was informed that was for a very basic Will without any changes. That statement told me to expect "add-on fees." I could be wrong. Next, I asked about a "Living Will." Was told she would check on that. She asked "someone" behind the wall. She informed me that it would be over $300. There again, can't remember the exact amount, somewhere between 300 and 400 dollars. When I expressed my shock at such a high amount for it, she replied, "That's why I checked, everyone complains about that amount." If, as stated, he "knows the law, knows the system," why is he charging his clients such outrageous prices for modifying standard forms? Needless to say, he out-priced himself in my book.
