If you are looking to cater any event, look no further than Rothchild. I planned my wedding from Texas but was able to come up a year earlier exactly to the day to try some food options. My husband and I loved our food then and chose Rothchild for our wedding in Pigeon Forge. I have never had such good food at any event in my life. I still have people texting us, sharing how amazing the food was. Additionally, the staff were so polite and kind. We had chicken and sliced sirloin with garlic potatoes and seasoned vegetables. We also had caesar salad and charcuterie cups. I had my own plate of fish and it too was delicious. I wanted to take the time to send you a "Thank You" for your Team's professionalism and caring demeanor during my Father's Celebration of Life event on Friday, March 29th, 2024 at the Twin Creeks Pavilion in Gatlinburg. Your Team arrived on time and quickly and quietly set up our buffet. Everything smelled and looked amazing! After the ceremony, I was given the "green light" to send our guests to eat and everyone RAVED about the food selections! When I got my own plate and sat down, I felt such a relief that everything was "perfect". As a former Chef and a current Restaurant Manager, I know the catering business and appreciate the attention to details. Your two Staff (I believe their names were Amber and Rodrigio?) went above and beyond during our event, clearing empty dishes and silverware; picking up empty cups and discarding them. They even provided a few ToGo boxes for us to take some of the food home. After they broke down the buffet and cleared out, it was as if they were never there! Spotless! Efficient! And most of all, very KIND! Please give my regards to these two amazing employees. I truly appreciate them executing this event so well that I could focus on being with my family and friends while we celebrated my Father's amazing life. We were beyond happy that we chose Rothchild Catering for our Wedding in the Smoky Mountains. The communication from the start was great, and they made picking a Gluten Free Menu a breeze. Rothchild catered the food and cheesecake for our wedding in Townsend, TN. We planned from afar and did not taste test any of their food in advance, but we were very pleased with them as our caterer. Their menu included all we needed, and the communication was prompt and frequent. We had a little hiccup with the cheesecake bar coordination, but it ended up being delicious. At the event, we, as the bride and groom, didn't notice them at all as they served and bused tables. We ordered the bruschetta appetizer and prime time meal for our guests, which was delicious. The brussel sprouts weren't as good as we hoped, but everything else was on point, even as left overs. The staff did an exceptional job cleaning up the area at the end of the night. Where to even begin. This caterer went above and beyond every step of the way. They made the process so easy with living in a different state ! I worked mostly with Demi, who was attentive, always responsive and so professional! They made changes, suggestions and everything tasted exactly as it did at the tasting. All our guests were impressed with the food amount, quality and taste! Any guest issues they fixed on the fly and made everything seamless. One of the staff during cocktail hour brought appetizers to myself and my bridal party multiple times so we could eat some! They even offered pup cups for our dogs!! Great catering! They catered for the awards ceremony at the University of Tennessee. I went for the vegetable lasagna and greens. I tried their potatoes and I was surprised how good it was. I have been avoiding potatoes ever since I came back from Poland but these potatoes were very tempting. I limited myself to only 3 pieces so I had enough space for the the deceiving lasagna. Why was it deceiving? Judging from the looks, you would think it's lame but after taking a bite, I couldn't stop! It's packed with veggies and cheese and not dry or overwhelming at all! Their dessert selection sucks though but their real food was spot on! I highly recommend trying out their catering servers for your next event. read more

If I could give Rothchild 10+ stars I would. I was having trouble finding a caterer I felt 100% comfortable with - until I spoke with Angela! She wasn't pushy and "get to the point" like many others I spoke with. She listened to what I wanted and offered her recommendations based on that. When we came in for our tasting, I knew I had made the right choice! My now-husband and I felt like we were at lunch with a long time friend. It was easygoing and a super fun experience. Most importantly - the FOOD! We were raving about the food for weeks after our tasting. We couldn't choose between appetizers because they were all so good. Angela was always quick to respond to anything & everything I needed. She was also so flexible, I never felt backed into a corner as far as my decision making. Our wedding was last Friday and so many of our guests are still commenting on how great the food was! They say brides don't eat on their wedding day, but when you have Rothchild catering...you definitely take the time to stuff your face. read more

i was attempting to go through this busienss to have them host my mother's surprise birthday party. right off the bat, after my stating my ideas, the sales associate tried to critique my idea and suggest that i implement hers as she claims she is the "professional" which rubbed me the wrong way -- "professional" or not, it is i who is paying for this event and i did not recall asking for the unsolicited advise. after i let the sales associate know that that was insulting to me to indicate her way was the best way because she deemed herself a "professional", i feel like the sales associate had a more of a snarky attitude thereafter. we went back and forth addressing my concerns. i do not like that this business has a list of demands, but as soon as you, the client/customer/person that is paying has a demand, they no longer want to deal with you. because most of my guests are elderly and children, i told the sales associate since they'd be serving food (my food that i was paying for), that i requested that the servers wear masks, hairnets, disposable gloves and clean aprons. the sales associate at rothchilds refused to have their staff wear masks and for me to basically take my business elsewhere!!! ridiculous!!!!! it is funny that they have a problem making sure that their customers are safe and feel safe while they are in contact with my guests!!! if i am going to be paying over 2 grand for a party for 40 people, i should have the right to ask them to wear a mask around my family and i and that shoud not be a cause for them to want to cease working with. me!!! they have rules and regulations, you would think that the paying customer should be able to have them too, especially if it is to protect them and their guests!!! i look at this business in a whole new light and i think that this should make people wonder why it is a problem when a client wants their health to be protected but rothchilds refuses to oblige!!!! think about this before consider booking there!!!!!! read more

Arrived at 8:30 pm after their delivery window from 2 - 5 pm. There was NO communication or notification from Rothchilds AND we had NO 'after hours' contact information, leaving us helpless, stressed and trapped. The bride/groom-to-be, family and friends MISSED their rehearsal dinner! We were ALL scrambling until 10:30 pm setting up the venue. Rothchilds offered us $49 in "compensation", blaming the botched delivery on COVID. After reminding them the event was booked several months ago, during COVID, they offered us a pathetic $70. read more

I recently attended a wedding at Zoo Knoxville and Rothchild's was the caterer for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception. They did a fantastic job for both meals and a cocktail hour before the reception. The service staff was very experienced. The foods were tasty and well presented. Buffet items were refilled promptly. Plates were cleared quickly and professionally. The catering director was on-site for all three events and was on top of his game. Small inconveniences were quickly overcome for a seamless, wonderful experience for all attendees. The chef was a delight with a great personality as he cooked-to-order one event and sliced the beef the next night. He is a credit to his field. All in all, I cannot say enough great things about the food and the service provided by Rothchild's. I would definitely recommend them. read more
