My experience with 2 different of Rothman's office was awful. Save yourself unnecessary stress and go anywhere else! Gorgeous offices and mostly polite people that wasted my time and charged my $5 to get a copy of the xray they took. I paid them in cash for that copy & they have been sending me a bill for the $5 because the person I paid probably pocketed the money. They did nothing for me except refer me to someone else in their practice. The doctor they referred me to doesn't work in the office they sent me too or do the procedure I needed done. A total waste of time & no other practice I have been too has ever charged me for a copy of my film. read more

I called the Montvale office over two weeks ago to make an appointment and I asked for a Monday appointment and for it to be early, as its my only day off. I was advised either 9am or 930am and I chose 9:00am. I went on Monday before 9am and I entered all my information that they needed and once I was done someone will call me. Soon after an associate came to tell me my appointment was for 2pm that day. No one from the office confirmed my appointment by phone or email. They couldn't accommodate me at the time even though it was clearly there mistake. This office is unprofessional and not organized at all. read more

1/14/2021 I have to say that - The office in Montvale is the most organized Medical office I have ever been in. My appointment was at 10 am and I was being X-rayed by 10:04. I was being seen by Dr Sodha ( hand surgeon) , a few minutes later.  Dr Sodha was congenial, caring , helpful and had a great bedside manner. He explained my options and made me feel great about my office visit. I will schedule surgery in the future with him. The Rothman Orthopaedic group is highly impressive as medical offices go and group practices go. read more

When a company thinks its appropriate to bill a customer almost two years after they receive service, you have to question the level of professionalism. First, let me begin by saying that I have an FSA account that would have covered it 100%........... however, when a provider doesn't send a bill for almost 2 years it is impossible to submit a claim and the money will now have to come out of my pocket. This should not be my problem. I politely contacted their offices and explained the scenario and although they were polite online, they continued to send a bill by mail. I recently received an extremely rude letter from their compliance director stating the bill is my responsibility. They take no responsibility for not billing for two years. To me, this is unprofessional. An office with any professional ethics or morals would say "We screwed this up" and it's not right to make the client pay for something he would have been reimbursed for. I will be filing a complaint with NJ Board of Medical Examiners and New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance. It's not about the money. it's about doing the right thing and Rothman needs to own their mistakes. read more

Dr Nathanson is a great doctor. He does not make you feel rushed and takes the time to explain everything to you.

I went to a doctor there for like a month. Then they closed the facility and fired all the staff, including the doctors. They sent incorrect insurance billing and it took two whole days ont he phone until someone in billing actually answered. The good news is that the doctor that I did see there no longer works for them. What a scam! read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST customer service and practice I have ever been too. Steer clear on so many levels. Takes 14 days to release medical records when we had a doctor on the other side waiting, doctors are like a factory there....the list goes on. Found another another practice that is run so much better. read more

Just a heads up - this conglomerate markets itself as a "one stop shop" but told me that I'd have to have different visits for each body part, as there was not enough time in the day to look at a knee and a hip in the same session. Also, there are many specialists so I'd have to go to one location for one body part and then travel 40 mins to see a doctor for a different body part. Booking an appointment took me 10 mins online then 20 mins by phone. Very much backwards. read more

BEWARE! Doctor and office manager Nicole both lied to me about being a participating provider with my insurance. Then performed an EXPERIMENTAL surgery on my knee. When asked for an explanation the customer service rep hung up on me. There are better, more honest choices elsewhere. read more

Overall ** Never actually got a chance to see a doctor but did deal with their call center when trying to make an appointment. The call center employee was so unfriendly she was borderline rude. Then she tells me they don't schedule appointments before 9:00am or after 3:30pm which is very inconvenient for someone who works in NYC. I gave up and will look elsewhere. read more

I saw Dr. Beharrie and he recommended an MRI to rule out a rotator cuff tear. It ended up that I had a full tear in my left shoulder. He recommended surgery. I trust his opinion, so I had the surgery a couple of months later. I am two months post surgery now and my therapist said I am nearly 100%. He is amazed at my progress. I fully believe that had I chose a different doctor, I most certainly would have had a different outcome. Dr. Beharrie and all the staff at Rothman Orthopedics were wonderful to me and my wife through this whole process. Thank You for giving me my life back!! read more

Dr. Sodha was great! He made me feel at ease from the moment he entered the room. I had to have a minor surgery on my hand at a surgical center and again he and the surgical team were great. Dr Sodha spoke to me during the procedure making sure I was comfortable and not feeling anything. Post op same thing he was great! I highly recommend Rothman Orthopedics read more

We were referred to Dr. Rocco Bassora when my mom was told she had a "shattered" shoulder by another popular/prominent Ortho group in Bergen county. Dr. Bassora is new to Bergen county and I have to say, we are very lucky to have him. He has a calm, comforting demeanor and really took his time explaining all the options to myself and my mother. He didn't feel she would be a good candidate for surgery and explained that her outcome would be the same whether he operates or not. "Why go through surgery if I can't offer you a better outcome" was what he advised. He will follow her closely to make sure her shoulder heals in proper alignment and introduce PT slowly. My mom and I both liked his advice and while it was basically he same as what the first group told us, dr. Bassora did not see the need for weekly Xrays which in the end would cost a lot of money and would expose my mom to unnecessary radiation. I would highly recommend Dr. Bassora to anyone with a shoulder injury. His office staff was friendly and accommodating. You won't be disappointed. read more

My 14 year old son was seen by Dr. Samir Sodha for a broken pinky finger. The break damaged the nail bed and separated the bone from his growth plate. Dr. Sodha was extremely accessible, both related to office visits and by phone, has excellent bedside manner, and did a perfect job. My son's finger is straight again and the nail is growing back properly. He was so kind and educational in his interactions with my son that he now thinks that he may want to become an Orthopaedic Surgeon as well. Can't ask for a better recommendation than that!!! read more

My MD recommended Rothman to me. Two weeks ago today, I signed up on their Patient Portal, which took forever, and requested an appointment. I never heard back. Since then, I've tried to call them three times, always during posted business hours. I sat there on hold for half an hour each time and no one ever picked up. I realize COVID-19 has caused some challenges for medical facilities, so I decided to try one more time. This time I went to the website and tried to sign up for a "telemedicine" appointment. The portal will not let you complete the form unless you enter a preferred time-of-day, and then it will NOT LET YOU ENTER THE TIME OF DAY. These people are useless and I would recommend that you do not even consider their services. read more

Had an after lunch 1230 appt. Checked in online as there was no one at desk. Fast forward 15 minutes and the staff strolls in. No greeting, no I'll be with you momentarily. I gave it another few minutes and only after she checked in another patient and I spoke up did she bother to say "I was going to call you next". Happily takes my money tho. The front office is terrible. My 80 year old mother-in-law has been going to Rutherford and Montvale to see Dr. Koerner. She was referred to another physician for further treatment. She was also prescribed PT and medication. They said they would forward all records to the next Dr. My wife called to make the appointment with the other Dr and was told to bring a copy of the report and the MRI for my mother in law that they had nothing as of yet. We called Rothman and spoke to records dept who said the other Dr's office needed to call for the records that should of been forwarded by them in the first place. We also noticed that the rehab center for her PT never called to schedule an appointment. So a few days later I called back and asked to speak with the front desk. I was questioned to why I was calling, I explained and again asked for the front desk. I was told I needed to speak to records. I told that was done once already and I wanted to speak to the front desk. I was put on hold and sent to...records. I explained the issue one more time including that the other Dr's office wanted us to bring the report in, that we would pick it up. I was told that they had to call and everything would be sent to them even though it hadn't been sent like it should of been the first time. I said ok, and then asked if the prescription for the PT had been sent in and if they could please check to make sure. They said it was sent. I hung up with them, called the rehab center and guess what... nothing was ever sent. The rehab called and got it straightened out but the offices of Rothman Orthopaedics are terrible, if they didn't have good Drs they would all be out of work. read more
