I called them out to do a repair on the master bathroom toilet. It took them two days to figure out what was wrong when they did they had to redo some plumbing to the septic system in the process of doing that they removed an 1 1/2 line to my aerator system. This is a rental property, so I didn't notice that it was removed for several months. It took me over a week and a half of constantly leaving messages for their office manager Todd to actually return my phone calls. Now they are denying removing the piping for my aerator when it was clearly there and working before they came and installed the new plumbing. Between the poor customer service and a technician that is clearly lying I will never use them again Yes you sent two employees out after. One gave me another estimate and the second one which I was there with him agreed that the new piping they installed was right where the piping for the Aerator was. I'm guessing someone came in the back yard and removed it and also unplugged the aerator that's been installed for the past 7 years. read more

They've always fixed the problem and have always done it in a professional manner. The tech never came for the first two days (no-call no-show). when he finally came he lied to me and told me I didn't have a Reheem so he could up charge me with new tank. turns out I just needed a new part. I ended up getting the part myself. Called them again for install, but once again no-call, no show. Hired Roto-Rooter to unclog our underground downspout. Charged us $650 for the first hour and $350 for the second hour. 30 minutes of that was spent filling up their water tank with our water. We were told we had a 14 day guarantee. It rained 2 days later and the downspout was still clogged. They did come right back out. It rained again 8 days later. Still clogged. We were told the 14 day guarantee was only for one additional visit and if we wanted them to come back out it would be $300 an hour. Although they normally don't do work on weekends, after they heard my story, they came the next morning, a Saturday. It was a huge task and took two men about three hours. I'm giving two stars, because until my last experience I have been very pleased with their service. A few weeks ago, my thermocouple needed to be replaced on my hot water heater. Upon arrival, the plumber almost immediately was trying to convince me I needed to replace the water heater and told me their bottom of the line units started at $2400. When I asked if he could just change out the part, he said he could for $460.00. I agreed and 1 hour later my water heater was working. After he left, I did some research and discovered this job typically costs $150.00-$200.00. I emailed the company to ask if perhaps I had been taken advantage of. We called Roto Rooter out to help fix a small leak in our kitchen faucet. They sent soemone out, and he ended up charging us about $700 for a couple of hours of work. We did get a new faucet . . . unfortunately, it was leaking again in less than a week. When we called, the same plumber informed us that this work was not guaranteed, but there would be a second charge to fix the "old plumbing". When we got a plumber from an independent company, he said that all of the fixtures had not been tightened properly and fixed everything for less than one-third of what RR charged. I can't say that I will ever use this company again. They do not guarantee their work and they obviously do not know what they are doing. read more

Came out quickly when called. Left a ridiculous mess behind, but I could have lived with that as most plumbers don't clean the mess left behind. They charged $285 to remove 2 toilets and snake out my line which I was fine with. Two days later toilets & sinks were backing up again. Came out and charged another $185 saying it was a different problem. It's not a different problem. All of my toilets and sinks are slow draining still. I called the office and was told again that the second time was a different problem. Again, no it wasn't and I'll have to pay a second plumber to come fix what Roto Rooter charged me twice to only half way fix. I'll be using a different plumber from now on. read more

This is my second time using Roto Rooter for plumbing issues. The first experience was awesome. They arrived when they said they would and fixed my problem immediately. Dylan troubleshooted another issue I was having that had to wait for a later date as he didn't have the proper tools with him, but knew what was needed. The later date was when I needed a hot water heated installed and the installation person was just as great as the first. It is August in Louisiana and the attic where the install was to take place was HOT. Amedo, did a spectacular job and worked quickly (likely because he didn't want to be up there, I honestly felt bad for him). The communication and scheduling however, was absolutely atrocious Amedo was not able to fix the pre discussed problem as he did not have the correct tools (which was a concern that I expressed to the office upon scheduling). I called on a Saturday and they assured me that they would have someone out on Monday. So I took off work and stayed home. No call. No service. So at 4:00 PM I call them to ask when I can expect someone, and they say they would call to reschedule for the next day. They call back saying it will be Wednesday "the first call between 8 and 9 am" (I would have been fine if they said Wednesday to begin with, just don't make me take off work extra). Wednesday comes, 9 am comes and I call to ask for an update. Its been pushed back to 9:30 as there was another job ahead of me, which again is okay, just please don't tell me one thing and deliver another. This scheduling made it more difficult for Amedo as well as the later in the day he was scheduled, the hotter the attic got. The install was great, but again the second issue I had has still not been resolved as the office did such a poor job of scheduling or even communicating. I will think twice before scheduling with Roto Rooter again, just because of the lack of communication and the disregard for the issues expressed upon scheduling. read more

After a week of dealing with other plumbing services (Sam Taylor Plumbing was the WORST of all) I finally found these guys on yelp and let me tell you, THEY WERE INCREDIBLE and an answer to prayer! They came out Saturday morning and were VERY reasonably priced (especially with not having a huge budget to fix my plumbing crisis and it now being the WEEKEND) they took my call early (around 8 am) -they were super friendly- got my information and said they would call back, with the week being full of people giving me the run around I expected to wait on them for an hour or more but was pleasantly surprised when I received a call not even 30 minutes later to tell me some one was IN ROUTE already!! They gave me the technicians information and a pretty clear estimate of what I should be expecting. Aside from the two people I talked to on the phone that were super friendly and very knowledgeable, the technicians were also INCREDIBLE!! The Technicians arrived before the estimated 30 minutes!! They were so friendly, also very knowledgeable and had everything done in no time!! I can't rave enough about the service provided by this company!! We have a pediatric clinic so bathrooms are a MUST. First thing Monday morning brought a serious potty problem that could not be fixed with a simple plunger. We called another very well-known agency who said they could not give us a time estimate but they would call us around 3:00pm to let us know if it was going to be the next day and that we should call other places to get on their lists as well. So Roto-Rooter was next on the list and not only did they understand our crisis (though is there ever a time that a potty problem isn't a crisis?) but the technician called us within 10 minutes that he was on his way. The pros: come on short notice; come on holidays and weekends (yes, I have called on both); always fast, friendly and efficient; will return at no cost if problem reoccurs within 30 days; and the cost is reasonable ($150.00 or less per visit). The cons: one repairmen is a talker and I had difficulty ending conversations about his life; there is a disconnect between the person who sets appts. and the technician (will call before coming, will bring camera equipment to view pipe interior, etc). Had a leaking valve on a water heater which was flooding the side yard. Received a call at 8 a.m. saying that the technician would be here at 9 a.m. When no-one arrived by 11 a.m. I called to see when they would be arriving. I explained that I had an appointment to go to and would have to reschedule if he was not coming soon. They told me he was on his way and would be here in 15 minutes. He finally showed up a little before noon. The problem was a nut needed to be tightened so he was here all of five minutes. Plumber showed up late and went inside without permission and pulled out dishwasher and carved hole in Sheetrock then put Dishwasher back in incorrectly such that water did not get to it and did not discover or fix problem - BECAUSE IT WAS OUTSIDE! Had to pay $350 to another plumber to discover and fix problem. Got bill from Roto-Rooter for over $350 for doing nothing we asked them to do! Would never use them again and suggest you don't either.
