I had allready used a plunger and an auger to free it, but it appeared to be further down than just the toilet. So they took the toilet off the base and checked that out, which I also checked out, and the line was frozen. That could be very possible that had something in the line that was blocking it from going out. They said they could try to work on that but it would be very expensive, so I declined in knowing Spring would be here eventually and possible get and opportunity to free it then. Beside the fact, that since winter will be here for a while it would probably freeze up again and the cost would not be worth it in this time period. In the meantime I am using a potty seat for the disabled and have a portable septic tank to empty the pail into which is working out fine now in the meantime until spring comes. But my kitchen and bath water are going down freely, so of no major concern right now.

It was a one man job than only took about 30 minutes. I'd give them 5 stars except for the price, which was not unreasonable for the time spent. I have been a customer of Bradway Plumbing for 5 years. They installed a hot water heater for us,…read moreand have completed multiple plumbing jobs such as toilet installations, sink faucets, UV light systems, and more. This morning I called requesting help with our aging mini-split a/c system and was told they would no longer provide service to us as a result of an incident that occurred last Fall when driving past the owner's house. The workers they hired were installing electrical conduit and a box truck in front of us stopped before starting again. My wife and I, with our two dogs in the car, began to proceed. I assumed it was safe to proceed. The truck suddenly stopped and the reverse lights came on, so I blew my horn, knowing they could not see us behind them. Suddenly, the two workers startied screaming at me, cursing and calling me names and verbally abusing me for proceeding. My wife and I were very shaken up by this and called the local police to report this violent behavior. I am extremely upset as well as disappointed that this company would turn their back on me as a customer. The only reason I am giving them two stars is that we have always been satisfied with their work. Knowing that this is how they operate, I would never even want to use them again. They actually should get 0 stars for treating a customer in such a way. EDIT: to be clear, I never said the workers who verbally abused us were employees of Bradway Plumbing. But it is Bradway Plumbing who we just discovered will no longer do work for us. There is no misplaced blame, other than Robert now trying to blame me. I guess he thinks we should just accept being verbally assaulted and cursed at by the people he hired to work on his house? Maybe he should have spoken to the people he hired about the incident. Anyway, I am now fully aware of the type of business owner Robert Bradway is and will happily move on.

Their response was almost immediate with technicians to address both a plumbing and heating emergency; a furnace failure which had resulted in a frozen pipe to burst causing catastrophic damage to our entire home. Thank you all on the Robert Bradway team for your excellent service!

The customer called for a leak in a steam condensate return line. This company showed up and hit them for $1800! (With a $200 courtesy discount!) the repair applied was not only wrong, WAY over expensed, and it leaked a short time later. The customer was then told the additional repair would be an additional $1000! The invoice for the steam boiler repair quotes line items for a circulation hot water boiler NOT a steam system. The work quoted was totally inappropriate for the system. The quote also stated 23' of copper piping would be installed, instead it was 15' of PEX and some galvanized compression couplings. (They did use about 2 feet of copper to make the transition to PEX easier). They also totally missed the plugged steam control pigtail, and gauge class port clogged. The main boiler drain (they left it completely open) was so plugged full of sludge it wouldn't drain. They charged this elderly couple $1800 for 3 hours labor and $100 worth of parts. I just redid the line in mailable iron (proper for steam systems) for 1/3 rd the cost. I will definitely be assisting this customer with a complaint through the NYS attorney General as this is clearly an attack on the elderly. Please find a reputable company and pass up on calling this one!

My wife called the first person she found and they said they would be out the next day. My wife took time off work to get home for the appointment and they never bothered to call and say they were not coming. The next morning when she called to complain, they promised they would be at the house at noon, so she again left work early. This time they were four hours late, but they did show up. After two hours of trying to clear the line they told my wife they would have to dig up the concrete floor in the basement. They said the work would cost $3,400 plus tax, and come to about $4,000. They demanded a $2,000 deposit and said they would be over on Saturday to fix it. As busy as these guys claimed to be they managed to cash my check within 15 minutes of leaving my home. This really set off my spider sense to think something was not right. My wife did not want to wait three more days, but she did need this to be fixed so she paid the deposit. She told me something did not feel right about these guys. I contacted a friend who is a licensed master plumber and asked him to take a look to make certain we were not being scammed. When he inspected he showed me how this job could be completed with minimal effort and no digging up of my concrete floor. In his expert opinion we were being taken advantage of and he said we could have this done for a fraction of the cost. The next morning I called and emailed International Plumbing and told them we were cancelling the work and would like the deposit back. I offered to pay them for the two hours they worked but would need to know the price. I asked them to then send the remainder. They claimed that my wife signed a contract which stated the deposit was non-refundable and that all of the materials purchased for our job could not be returned. I asked for a copy of the signed contact and they added the verbiage to the invoice they already sent, complete with a fraudulent signature for my wife! It has been three weeks and they have still refused to return my deposit. I am forced to seek remedy through the courts. It was also suggested that I follow up with the sheriff's office to address the fraudulent signature, which could be considered identity theft. That is also in the works. Save yourself some time, seek other plumbers. These people are just plain crooks.

He showed, did about a half hour of "work" then said he was running out for supplies. Four and a half hours later he came back to move our pipes and gas line. We now are a week in with no working kitchen sink or gas line for our range. He is clearly incompetent as a plumber but excellent as a thief and swindler.

Be careful on what you tell them you need done, because they will definitely try to force you to get something done that does not need to be done. I had A leak around the base of my toilet, and I called them to ask and if they could come and fix it. I told them it was most likely the flange or the wax seal or both. And the woman very rudely asked me when was my last pump. Meaning when was the septic pumped last. I let her know the house was built in 1997 and as far as I knew it was never pumped. But we haven't had an issue so far thank God. And she's like well you need to have it pumped. I'm like well OK as soon as we get the money will have it pumped but right now we need the toilet done. And she's like well you need to have it pumped. I'm like well OK as soon as we get the money will have it pumped but right now we need the toilet done. She said that homes that have three or four adults living in it should really be drained every 3 to 4 years. And I said OK well right now all I need is my toilet fixed just to make sure that there's no rotten wood around the base because it was leaking for a while. And she said well I'm pretty sure that it's not the flange and it's not the wax seal it's the septic. I said well we're not having any issues with back up or anything like that it's literally just leaking around the base of the toilet. And she said well it's not the wax seal or the flange it's definitely the septic you need the septic done. And all of this was done within five phone calls. And she said that if we wanna waste our money having to pay double the charge because they have to come out twice well then that's our problem that's on us. I ended up making the appointment but I talked to my husband afterwards, and I'm like you know she was really very rude and I did not like her tone I did not like how she basically forced us to have to have the septic pumped or drained or whatever, and me being sick, we have a lot of bills and we just didn't have the money to put towards draining the septic at the moment. And even though we told her that you know will definitely have them come back around October to drain it she wasn't satisfied with that answer. So I ended up calling back the receptionist to answer it that every time we had exchanges, it was very kind. She was very very sweet. But I told her we're not gonna keep our appointment. She asked why I said well is there a manager or supervisor that I could speak to.? Because the lady that helped make the appointment was so very rude and just didn't seem like she wanted to do her job. And the receptionist said she's the owner. I was like well, she honestly seemed like she doesn't like her job. And if this is how she treats all her customers then she should not be in the customer service business industry. Because she really sucks at customer service. We ended up going with another plumber, and what do you think was wrong with my toilet??? Wait for it... Wait for it...WAIT FOR IT...... The wax ring was the only issue. The flange was in good condition the floorboards were in good condition and they said that yes they do recommend that we get the septic drained or pumped or whatever but as long as we're not having back up in our toilets or in our outback on the ground or whatever and we should be OK. They weren't trying to sell us anything that we didn't need. We did end up getting A new toilet only because we really needed one because the one that was leaking even though it was just the wax seal, it was also cracked a little bit on the bottom, so I really didn't wanna take a chance plus when he went to remove the toilet he couldn't get it off because of the way the screws were and it was so rusty and pick, that he ended up having to break the toilet to get it off lol. But not before he ate let us know that we most likely are going to need a new toilet and I said absolutely go get one.So they will be getting our business from here on out and definitely never will we ever go with rotor rooter again unless it's absolutely 1000% necessary. There are other plumbers that will do septic and the they will be who we will go through. So any customers in the Tri-County area Saratoga County Warren County Washington County New York, if you want to go through Roto rooter, just know that the owner is the woman that you will be talking to about making the appointment on what you need done and stuff, is an extremely rude lady. And she will try and get you to have a service done that you don't need done right at the moment.

As they were getting close to our house, on that call the first thing they asked was: Can you pay me? My husband told him to get here, do the job and then think about payment. That should have been a red flag. He looked through the septic and told us the pipe from the house to the septic was broken. He cleaned out the pipe so that the water would run and he was done! Said he didn't repair pipes (which is part of the septic repair) and would give us the name of someone when he returned to his office. He wanted $400 because he used a camera in the pipes. He never called us back with a referral and there was no answer when my husband called him numerous times. STAY AWAY!
