She went over anything you may have thought you had a question about, without issue, and was incredibly patient with other adoptees that had shown up tardy. The facility was clean and organized as, she also has other operations that she manages as well. She has dedicated her life the Standard Poodle Breeding industry, AKC and also Poodle Rescue Operation. My puppy is a fine animal, and absolutely dedicated to me instantly, he seems to take his role in my life pretty seriously, although, I have never seen such a rounded personality like this in a dog before. He is healthy, very happy fella, and full of love and pawsitive energy. I would be honored to return to this breeder in the future someday to adopt another poodle from her. We contacted them and they quickly…read morecontacted us to schedule a home visit for one of their volunteers to meet us and make sure we were capable and prepared to properly handle a new addition. We were interviewed and asked a series of questions about our history, experience, and familiarity with dogs. We introduced the volunteer to our well trained 2 year old brittany mix, and that helped expedite the interview process. At that point we were told we were approved to adopt a boxer, and asked if we had looked at the dogs they currently had - we hadn't picked one out at that point. My S.O. had her heart set on a female brindle, and they said they didn't currently have any but would let us know if one came up. We were looking at several different boxer rescues all over Texas, and were preparing to go see one in Austin. The night before we were going to make the trip, we got a call from LSRB that a 1 yr old female brindle was being returned by a foster, and was located about 20 minutes away. We contacted the foster, hopped in the car, and a little over an hour later we were home with our newest furry family member. That was 10 years ago - Pepper has been the perfect fit for us, and we're SO grateful to LSRB and for all the work they do for this wonderful breed. If you're considering a boxer, this is a terrific group to work with to make that happen!

I can't remember how long the cremation took, but they were thoughtful in our back-and-forth communication. Piles of food, leashes, beds and other supplies were stacked high; and the crew of volunteers were able to get donation in AND out - fast. I knew of many families up north who lost everything to Harvey, and needed any sort of assistance to feed their pets. I called up Houston Pet Set and they said "come and pick up food!" Ten bags later, the fur babies in the Conroe area finally received a good meal. The dogs actually came running out when they heard the bags of food being unloaded. Unforgettable.

Coming in, they took my cat for 5 minutes and said they couldn't express anything. They proceed to say that the vet needed to talk to me, and I didn't understand why since I had come in just for the anal gland expression. The vet just pet him and asked me a couple questions about why I asked for an anal gland expression, to which I explain, and she just finished up the 5 minute conversation by sayin maybe my cat would benefit from deworming. My cat is 1 year old, indoors, no contact with other pets and had a physical exam done less than 3 months prior. A 15 min vet visit that should have been just an anal gland expression turned out to be a physical exam I had not approved with a $175 bill? They justified by saying EVERY procedure must be done with a physical exam, which is a lie because in the morning I took my other cat to exchange a bandage from his surgery and I was charged $40 for the bandage but no physical exam.

They squeezed me in since there was no one there, which I appreciated up until they tried to scam me for a check up! They took my 4 month old cat away into a secluded room without me for 2 minutes to "draw blood" and they immediately returned saying they need to sedate him in order to do so, a $200 procedure that only occurs Mondays and Tuesdays. I work so not only would I have to ask for a day off, but worry for my cat just because they were not adequate to draw blood on a kitten who was scared and isolated in a room I, the owner, was not allowed in. Of course he would be scared! I talked to my friends who own cats and they all found it suspicious that they took my cat away and didn't let me see how he truly acted. While he is active, he is not aggressive. He was scared, just like any animal would be. Save your money and don't pay $50 for a check up and then juiced out another $200!
