I decided to try Dr. Wang. She is a doctor of oriental medicine. Acupuncture is not recognized or covered by any insurance. :( Park closer to the other JS building, her office is on the right side of the second building. The first consult and appointment is $120. They do have a 6 package session for $400 and 13 package session for $800. Their last appointment is at 5pm. They do have some office hours on Saturdays, that's a plus. She doesn't promise any quick fix and mentioned it could take a few months to align the bodies' meridian. Dr. Wang answered my call after a brief hold on another call. She was really easy to talk to and explained what was going on and what results I was looking for as well. She was so easy going and was fully engaged and so informative too. I felt quite at ease after our first phone conversation. I am looking forward to my appointments to address some specific key issues on my body for blood flow relief, stress tension release and other lady stuff. Dr. Wang explained the general session and processes and recommended frequency of sessions and timeframe too. Be sure you go to the 7071 building location. There's a 7091 and the building looks exactly the same and has the same building name too. Make sure to go to the side door, not the one facing orchard lake road. Ready to get my needle session on. Hoping to feel like a million books after the appointment or soon afterwards. Front staff checked my ID. Sent me into an exam room with 3 pages of documents to fill out shortly after 5pm and returned my ID to me. There was a covid screening page. There are framed certificates and credentials in the front waiting area. Staff seems quick and efficient. I am chilling in the exam room waiting for the doctor to enter. The woman that takes you to your room, her English isn't the best, but you can generally get the gist of things. Dr. Wang was knocking at my door by 5:15pm. She seems so nice, she's super easy to talk to. I told her about some ailments to try to get help addressing. The opening and closing of doors can be distracting during your session. I had 11 needles in me to address the heart, hormones, liver, kidney and spleen. Laid with the needles for 35 minutes. Tried hard to stay still and relax. Doctor came in midway to turn needles to help stimulate. Takes body a few sessions to take effect. More frequency or twice a week boasts better and more quicker results. Helps with balance of meridians in the body. Recommends 5-10 minute meditation every day to help with stress tension. First session took about an hour and 20 minutes. I Felt really relaxed after my acupuncture session. It almost felt like I got a massage. Dr. Wang was taught acupuncture from her grand father and learned about the bodies meridians and how to create the bodies balance since she was 5 years old. What an accomplishment. Dr. Wang has been in practice professionally for about 9 years. She comes from a family of 8 generations working and practicing Acupunture. Dr. Wang protected herself well against her patients. She wore gloves, medical mask, N95 mask and a face shield too. She is quadruple protected, that's good to see and makes me feel reassured she's doing her part to protect and prevent the spread. My hands still felt cold weeks after starting the acupuncture. Dr. Wang said it could take a few months of sessions for the body to fully normalize and get all of the meridians back to good. Seems like a long time, especially in our society, where we want instant gratification. Second appointment. It was a Saturday. The room smells freshly clean. She's busy today too. She seems to be rather busy every Saturday after coming for several weeks now. I feel like a jellyfish after an acupuncture appointment to help me relax and destress here. It does the job. I feel the same as I do after an hour of deep tissue massage. Dr. Wang has great bedside manners and is so easy to talk to about anything and puts all anxieties at ease during the session. Each session takes about 30-45 minutes. I did get some good size bruising from the needles a few times, even if it didn't hurt going in at all. Have 3 more sessions left out of 25 and at this point my mind has settled that I would only be getting a relaxation session out of the remainder. My circulation is no better. My sleep is no better. My stress is no better and my hormones are no better, despite the balanced meridian in the body after 25 sessions. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. R. Wang a little over one year; and in that time, I have brought her 3 separate problems. She has been treating me for small fiber neuropathy in my feet, which has greatly improved and even helped with my balance. Prior to knee replacement surgery, she helped reduce pain in my affected knee. After my knee surgery 3 months ago, she has been treating debilitating sciatic nerve pain -- often a result of knee replacement surgery. The pain is not completely gone yet, but has been significantly reduced to the point I can do most activities I wish. Dr. Wang represents everything one could hope for in a physician: She's an excellent listener as she questions her patient about his or her problem. She asks the right questions and expresses true compassion as she makes her diagnosis. I believe her skill with acupuncture is excellent. Her competence not only includes accurate treatment, she can explain things well and answers questions thoroughly. Dr. Wang, is amazing -- I started seeing Dr. Wang at the beginning of January 2016, I was plagued with acne and I have very irregular periods which hinder our chances of getting pregnant like "normal" couples - all due to my PCOS condition. I first heard about fertility acupuncture during my first couple of meetings at Michigan Reproductive Medicine center with Dr. Mersol-Berg. My fiance' and I were prepared for a long arduous journey ahead and we were willing to look at both western and eastern medicines for advice. I found Dr. Wang here on Yelp and after much research I made an appointment -- once I met her I felt instantly comfortable - she was so professional and warm plus she was so familiar and knowledgable around PCOS as an added bonus her speciality was fertility - I was sold. The multiple baby pictures and sweet thank you notes posted in the lobby from other successful patients also added to my confidence in Dr. Wang. After, that first appointment meeting I committed to Dr. Wang's treatment program of 3x a week of acupuncture. Whatever she suggested I did with vigor (it was not a lot a few Chinese vitamins and some advice to drink warm water and avoid sugary foods). We made the financial commitment and we were hopeful that the eastern treatment along with the western fertility medicines would lead to our success. But, something else amazing happened along the way. We were preparing to start fertility meds for IVF. However, my usual stubborn period was MIA (missing in action) -- I voiced my concerns to Dr. Wang and she suggested to either take pregnancy test at home or go see the Doctor. I had to much disappointment around at home tests so I made an appointment for an ultrasound at the MRM center. Typically, I was informed that PCOS patients had this problem a lot and once they took a look and did some baseline blood test I would likely just start the meds without having my period. However, during this ultrasound the nurse looked quite surprised and said "well, I don't want you to get your hopes up ok --- but you have all signs of being pregnant." I am trained lawyer so I did not get excited -- I was actually looking for it to be a false positive. The nurse then said we are going to take some blood and if certain hormones are present we will also test your blood pregnancy. This was a 9am appointment - I left the office in a foggy cloud -- keeping the news to myself. Finally, at 2ish I got a call from MRM and they confirmed that I was pregnant. I was then in total shock -- because according to all my medical records I could only get pregnant with the help of IVF. So this new miracle was all due to Dr. Wang's acupuncture treatments - I had no other fertility meds in my body -- they are still sitting unopened in my refrigerator. So I cannot thank Dr. Wang enough for all her positivity and treatments. I humbly thank her -- I still continue to see Dr. Wang 3x times a week, as our journey is still continuing. I am so thankful to have a wonderful fiance', and a fantastic Dr. Wang as my teammates and support system. I would highly recommend Dr. Wang if you suffer from infertility, pain, or acne. I was very fortunately to be under Dr. Wang's care a couple of years ago due to my stress induced insomnia. As a senior caregiver for another bypass senior patient, the stress was overwhelming! Dr. Wang was very kind to a sobbing patient when I was so down in her office. While comforting me, she was already well needling into many of my acupuncture points, I dozed off shortly! About half hour later, during her second time needle stimulation, I woke up from snoring! After two more office visits, my insomnia was completely gone! I was blessed, thank you, Dr. Wang! Once more again, during the most recent flu season, Dr. Wang took great care of me after I was knocked off by the antibiotics. I lost my voice and, my extremely tight chest made me almost unable to breathe. It was very painful and sometimes hard to endure: for days I was so weak and unable to lie down. While I was unsure to go to ER or to see her, I called Dr. Wang murmuring over the phone with her. I think that I made a smart choice! Soon after Dr. Wang had eight needles in my front chest; the "wind tunnel" was immediately opened up like a magic, a fresh experience... I smiled with tears! It was amazing! I don't remember how many needles she used for other parts of my body, but I was able to cough up then...what a release! Thanks a million!! Dr. Wang! I went 3 times to try acupuncture for the first time off a Groupon. Dr. Wang is overall nice but, keeps the conversation very short and only treats the area you have an issue with. Office can be a little noisy though, as you can hear people walk in and out. As for acupuncture itself, I have an intense knot on my shoulder that causes me a lot of pain, after the first session it was def. loosened it, but didn't heal it fully even after all 3 sessions. read more

I have suffered from sciatica for almost a year. PT didn't really help and then I herniated a disc in my back and the pain was unbearable. Surgery was not a route I was willing to take. After researching online, I found acupuncture appeared to be a successful form of treatment for sciatica. I found Dr. Wang on Groupon and found ACMC had great reviews so I gave it a shot. Dr. Wang is very friendly and patiently listened to all my questions and concerns. After 9 treatments including acupuncture and cupping, I am pain free! She is now working on my migraines. My experience with Dr. Wang was truly wonderful! She is very professional and extremely knowledgeable. Believe me, you want acupuncture treatments by someone who knows what they are doing. Dr. Wang runs a beautiful, peaceful and well organized office. I searched her out on line because I needed help regular medicine could not provide. I had a bad case of plantar fasciitis in my left heel and the pain was so awful that walking had become difficult. I had 3 cortisone shots by my foot doctor, kept it iced and tried other remedies all to no avail. After just two treatments by Dr. Wang my pain was gone and has not returned. It was truly amazing! If you ever get this condition don't waste time on shots or frozen water bottles. See Dr. Wang ASAP! After witnessing my success, now my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter (7) have all seen Dr. Wang for various problems and have all had amazing results. I have been receiving acupuncture treatments from Dr Rou Wang for about 4 weeks now. I am being treated for stress, weight loss, sugar cravings and improvements in the aging on my face. I am on the wrong side of 60 and it's starting to take a toll on my appearance. After 4 weeks, I am much calmer and can resist sugar better. My facial issues are MUCH improved. Deep lines between my brows are all but gone! There are fewer wrinkles around my eyes. The deep lines I have on the sides of my mouth are less visible. I am so happy with the results. Dr Wang is wonderful to work with and the facilities are clean and spa-like. This is an honest review and I am receiving nothing in return.
