We sprung for VIP seats so we were one row from the stage. Doing an "adult" show in Vegas is tricky. Half your audience don't speak much English and Vegas is a G string town. These guys gave it a real try. On the whole the acts were Circ adjacent, strong man, dancers, roller blades etc. The Emcees were fine...but not sharp or cruel enough to be strong enough to carry the show. There wasn't much audience participation/humiliation, which is a good part of the fun at Absinthe. It was the early show so most the crowd was sober. The male dancers were built but way too clothed...not close to The Thunder. Most/all the female dancers had super fit athletic builds so as much bumping and grinding as there was it all felt rather mailed in. The BDSM stuff was a bit cringe. Don't get me wrong everyone involved was talented and trying hard, but it lacks the majesty of Circ or the razor edge of absinthe (the female emcee was 7 months pregnant...which made her performance both impressive and a bit worrying). On the whole...not horrible but not close to sexy or edgy enough. I don't fault the crew...I blame the writers and producers. read more

This show was...amazing. there are other words, but I'm going to keep it appropriate. The cast was engaging and exciting, the stunts were exhilarating and sexy, and it was such an easily relaxing environment from the get-go. To begin as you're seated, the cast walks around the theater and dances, and the two main cast members interact with everyone, asking how their night is going, and innocently flirting. It really helped ease the unsure tension that you could feel in the room which naturally happens with 'sexual-esque' environments. It was the perfect way to bring in the show. While I wish this show was more story-centric rather than random scenes of topless performers, it is what it is. The scenes presented were all great (except for the horse one -- just weird to me; but still amazing performance nonetheless). I do wish, however, that this show used their male performers in a more sensual and sexual way. I'm unsure of the rules, regulations, or laws against male nudity, but outside of one scene where you were able to see their ass cheeks, it was just them being shirtless. No really seen bulges, no nudity, etc. This show seemed more geared towards straight men than anything else, which his fine. However, a little more male sensuality would be a nice addition; not only as a bisexual guy, but overall for the show in general. Out of all of the scenes, only one of them was all-male. You're not allowed to take pictures at any point during the show, for obvious reasons, until the last number. At that point, you can take all the videos and pictures that you want. I was underwhelmed by this show. It was just "okay". It kept us entertained but it had a lot of mistakes during our presentation. We sat in the VIP area close to the stage. But seating further away lets you see everything even better, as the performers move around in the stage and also within the public. I have seen acts very similar to this one at other shows and that is okay, but some acts were poorly performed or had fails that did not recovered well. One of them was an act of two men doing a strength acrobatic performance. The man that was the "base/column", was shaking more than a jell-o and was also noticeable insecure. Every time a trick was completed his face showed a lot of relief. I can only think he is a new member of the show and was very nervous. He was shaking so much that I was worried about his partner falling. I hope he gets better fast. A skating performance was interrupted by a fall and the male performer improvised a little and then left the stage visibly angry when the female performer (who left the stage immediately after the pair felled to the floor) reentered the stage again. She said something to the malea actor as he skated out. The stage was empty for a few seconds, but then, the show continued with a different presentation... This transition was not done seamlessly. You could feel the drama happening. This performer did not even come out at the end of the show for the finally. I am a theater performer, and I can notice this type of things very easily. I wanted a little more sexiness and fun... My favorite was the last presentation where a "sex doll" was "bounced and balanced" around... I really found that new, sexy and hella funny. It's a shame the skating performance was cut short. It really looked like it was going to be awesome, as the opening for this one presentation looked great. read more

The new Las Vegas boy wonder producer Hanoch Rosenn (WoW, Extravaganza) has outdone himself with his latest creation "Rouge" at The Strat. This show is rocket propelled from start to finish. The athletic cast is super talented (even by Las Vegas high standards) with jaw dropping aerialists and classically trained dancers. It is topless (no pasties needed or wanted by you purists...ahem). Everyone is fit, beautiful and seems quite happy to work together. Rouge's not so secret key to success is that it is a laugh a minute with cheeky sexual humor and double entendres led by the full time MC / part time aerialist Zion Martyn as the dick waving Doctor Libido. This man is a star among stars and his improv comedy is worth the price of admission alone. The also superb Poppy Evelyn Martyn plays Nurse Naughty (the show does not take itself too seriously). You will need to catch your breath after Poppy's incredible athletic acrobatics so you can laugh at her rapid fire one liners. A more brilliant husband and wife team I have not seen with the lone exception of David Perrico and Lily Arce. When asked, Mr. Perrico refused comment on Lily's acrobatic capabilities. Hanoch Rosenn and The Strat are lucky to have this truly magical cast. As with the show "BAZ", there is no reason this show cannot stand the test of time for a long run.
