I woke up on A Friday morning with a swollen face and sore gum. My regular dentist is closed on Friday. I managed to get a same day appt with Westinghouse Dental in Georgetown. They were great. They told me that I probably needed a couple of root canals. On my way home, I stopped by Round Rock Root Canal Specialist-they gave me a consultation appointment in about an hour. I started my treatment immediately-everything was awesome and pretty painless. Dr PK is super nice and explained in detail the treatment plan. Just got back from my first visit, a consultation with Dr. PK, and he was so very thorough and very friendly. Nice staff, too, from Monica at the front desk, and assistant Suzy, who didn't seem to understand me very well - that's alright, I was extremely happy with the service. The doc is very smart and caring, and gave his opinions readily. Really glad i went. I have a lot of concerns with my mouth, and he gave me a lot of information to make choices. read more

Dr P.K performed a root canal through tooth #4 on Feb 21, 2022. This tooth already had a crown and previous root canal approximately 15-20 years ago. Since the tooth was needing a new crown and the referring dentist thought another root canal would be necessary before she could attempt a crown. Dr Beh referred me to Dr P.K. Dr P.K did the root canal through the crown on Feb 21. Within a few weeks I could feel the crown loosen up and by Mid-March the crown came off with 2/3 of the tooth attached. I would not recommend doing a second root canal. I had the rest of the tooth removed and now waiting for an implant. read more

I originally posted this about a year ago at another location of theirs, as they did not have their own Yelp listing. They do now, so wanted to update. Below is my review: I don't know if it's possible to look forward to getting a root canal - but if it is, I'd say this place makes it happen. From the first communication - me frantically calling Endodontists in RR because I had severe tooth pain - only to reach someone at the office who was super patient and helpful. She told me the doc wouldn't be able to see me until a few days later. When I told her I was in a lot of pain and had been calling around, she asked if she could call me right back. And she DID! She spoke to the doctor and doc agreed to stay late so I could come in. I was seen the same day - for no extra "rush" or "after hours" charge. Now let's talk about the doc - Dr. McNary is hands down the best of the best. Not only did she immediately attempt to alleviate my pain when I came in (before going too in depth on the problem), but she did so with care and empathy. She was very sensitive to my comfort the entire time (ultimately, it ended up being a two visit thing since it was so bad). She fixed my issue, recommended a good regular dentist and was also just generally cool. Both she and the assistant were ladies I'd go have a beer with! I cannot say enough good things about all of the staff and my experience here. Hopefully I won't need any more of their services, but if I do, I'll come running! read more

I HATE dentists, especially root canals, however, having to have a unplanned proceedure, ugh, Dr McNary, you want someone to put you at ease, she did, I was that squeeze in appointment on a Friday when everyone is going on vacation. I had 2 root canal treatments at round rock root canal specialists. Dr. Pedram provided right treatment options in both cases which enabled me to make an informed decision. The treatment always started on time which is a big plus. The best part is the post treatment care which is amazing as Dr. Pedram was always approachable, kind and patient and helped me to navigate through the recovery process. No one likes to get a root canal. I was referred to a different specialist that was not in my network. I contacted my Insurance and they gave me some providers. I picked the one closest to me. Dr Niloofar Khosravian, DMD was the lady who did my re-treatment on an old root canal. She was very nice, she explained everything thoroughly, so much so, that I really didn't have any questions. This tooth had bothered me off and on ever since the first root canal on it. I had told that dentist that the root canal had been pretty painful even with the numbing. Dr. Khosravian did the retreat and found an extra canal rather quickly. She treated it....No pain at all during the procedure. She advised me that it would probably hurt and be painful for a few days (gave me prescription of antibiotics and for pain etc)....and told me that when I came back on the 27th to wrap up that her brother PK would finish, because she was moving to California. I can honestly say that I have had absolutely no pain at all. I got the pain prescription for nothing. I don't know the circumstances of her moving, but we will be short a very very good Endodontist in Round Rock, when she leaves. Her office staff was very nice, helpful and just as courteous as she was. I would highly recommend her if you need a Root Canal. I had never had a painless root canal until this one. read more

Dr. McNary is far and away THE BEST Endodontist. She did two root canals on my two FRONT teeth. When I was having some issues with one tooth I called on a Saturday evening and she immediately called me back and called in an antibiotic. About 6 - 8 weeks later I was having some really bad pain issues with the tooth, again, I called her on a Sunday, she responded and called in the antibiotic and saw her on Tuesday. I ended up having that tooth removed by a Periodontist she recommended, Dr. Desai (whom I can also HIGHLY recommend and happens to be the same office building) I can't say enough about her - so glad she's here! Recently, I had to have a root canal on a tooth that was very severely infected. My roots were as such as my regular dentist sent me to Dr. P Khosravian. I am 63 years old and have had so many dental procedures in my lifetime....I hate dentists to say the least. I was dreading this. I can honestly say that Dr. P is the ONLY dentist I have ever been to that I had NO pain whatsoever. Not even an initial pinch or discomfort. I was amazed! While moving over the holidays I thought I was experiencing a flu or something coming on. Nope! It was in fact an infection due to need of a root canal I was totally unaware of. I was able to be seen by a dentist the Tuesday after Christmas who then referred me to Dr. Khosravian. Dr. Khosravian took me in right away! He and his staff all showed great care in my discomfort and made the whole process as gentle and simple as possible. I hear horror stories about root canals and dental visits. This was the exact opposite of that. It was a great experience. Lol! Sounds weird to hear that about a root canal visit(s) I know, but it truly was as pleasant as it possibly could of been. All I can say after my experience today and reading the other reviews is that there need to be more stars. Five is not enough. Yes it was uncomfortable and not something I would choose to go through if I didn't have to, but Dr. Khosravian - and all the staff - were simply amazing as professionals and human beings. They were kind, sensitive to my anxiety and treated me as if I was the most important patient in their practice. I only wish they performed general dentistry. These guys were highly recommended by my dentist. My entire experience was super uncomfortable. While getting checked in, someone behind the reception desk yelled at me for not calling back the day before with my insurance information. I had called back the day before and spoke to someone else. Imagine my surprise when that person turns out to be my doctor. She spoke really, really fast as she explained what was going on with my tooth and let me know that they weren't responsible for any bad outcomes due to complications. Then another person came in to go over my treatment plan and was really pushy about getting my credit card. I decided right then that I did not feel comfortable with getting a root canal from this doctor. I'm really in a state of shock - my experience was nothing like the other reviews. I was confused because I didn't see the doctor in any of the pictures on the website or yelp listing. I called back later when I got home and spoke to the receptionist who had been out to lunch during my appointment. I had seen the younger sister of Drs Khosravian. She's relatively new and the website hasn't been updated with her information. I am writing this review to make sure that no one else has to deal with this kind of unprofessional and uncomfortable experience. Please let me preface this review by saying that as a youth and onto my mature years, I've always hated going to the Dentist, let alone an Endodontist. That was all related to having bad experiences. However, Dr. McNary has become the exception! I still don't like going, but I am certainly more at ease, have less anxiety and more comfortable than I've ever been, when getting dental work done. She is very aware and conscious of the patient and ensures that you don't have any discomfort. I'm a firm believer that if you know of something good either for you and other people to pass that information on. In this case, It's Dr. McNary! The best Endodontist I've had ever! I just completed my 2nd visit for my root canal and hands down I would go back and see Niloofar Khosravian who is one of the Endodontists at Round Rock Root Canal Specialist. I had the most horrible abscessed tooth that needed a root canal, and it all started on Thanksgiving night (uggh). I kid you not, it was the worst pain ever. When I first went to see her I had a raging infection and the left side of my face was so swollen. I was on antibiotics, but the infection took days to clear up. Niloofar was so patient and friendly, she even followed up with me the next day to check on me. Today I completed the root canal, and not only did she take care of that tooth, but she also sealed up the tooth next to it were I had a prior root canal (somewhere else), and part of the filling had come out. The staff was also very friendly and professional and everyone was just very kind and went out of their way to make my experience the best that they could under the circumstances (the circumstances being horrible pain). I hope I don't ever need another root canal, but if I did, I would definitely return to this business. What stands out the most is how friendly and welcoming everyone is, and that is exactly what you need when you are in a lot of pain. My daughter and I had a fantastic experience at Round Rock Root Canal Specialists. Dr. Pedram Khosravian performed a root canal on my 14 year old daughter. She was extremely nervous and anxious about having a "root canal". Let's face it, as adults, "root canal" is the scariest dental procedure. The staff, along with Dr. Pedram Khosravian, made my daughter feel at ease. They explained everything to her. They made sure she was comfortable and they let me stay with her during the procedure. They worked at her pace, especially with the numbing injections. No one likes shots in their mouth, including adults. Dr. Khosravian did a fantastic job with the injections. The root canal was divided in two separate visits over the course of two weeks. My daughter handled the second visit like a champ. She knew what to expect and there were familiar faces doing the procedure. I would hands down recommend Round Rock Root Canal Specialists. I know where I will go if I need a root canal. read more
